I've had metro by tmobile for a while but decided to switch to straight talk. So my firmware was tmobile and after switching the sim and to straight talk there was a system update, to which I updated and it got stuck into the boot loop. I tried flashing at&t U1, U1 and sprint, it's all I had and they all failed except the sprint. It passed but continued to boot loop still. I'm at a loss. I've never had an issue flasing any US firmware on this phone. Help please! One more thing, when I boot into recovery it flashes the android then says no command and the droid guy lays down, then it goes into recovery
Here's what the bootloader screen says
I was hoping someone would help and sorry I don't do hangouts. When booting into recovery this flashes really fast. What other info do you need to help??

Hi and thank you.
I used Odin3 V 3.14.4 and the prince comsy (for the U1 firmware) versions.
I tried flashing:
G960USQU8FTJ3
G960USQS8ETH6
And the newest U1 firmware.
The U1 failed, FTJ3 (TMOBILE) failed, but ETH6(Sprint) passed but still getting a boot loop.
Samsung drivers are installed and odin is recognizing the phone. I used BL, AP, CP , and CSC.

I have a 9195 running 4.2.2 stock. it was under the EUR csc and I tried to install a 4.4.2 through odin but it failed and now my phone is bricked. kies won't recognize it and it keeps turning when I insert it so I cant emergency recover the firmware. trying to download my old one but its not on sammobile anymore and its taking hours to download from this other random website I found. any clues as to why I couldn't flash it? does it have to do with my CSC? I was on EUR and I was trying to flash a branded one. but the brand is the my phone carrier and even though I dindt get it from them I figured it'd be okay

i wouldn't suggest to flash branded ones for non branded phones but anyway, you could try flashing mine from the unbrick/downgrade guide.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2751224
make sure to follow the guide completely

This is what i do when it appears to say failed, i flash a stock recovery that should be in the attachments added to this post, put your phone into download mode, connect it up, wait for odin to see our device, then load the recovery into odin and hit start then it should restart and be in 4.4.2.

Hey guys,
I am a new soul here after about a month of searching through this forum and google etc... I really need some help.
After I bought my GT-N7100 Samsung Galaxy Note II as a used phone, I flashed it through the official SmartSwitch (the new version of Kies) so I could get a fresh phone with stock firmware.
After that I used Galaxy_S Unlock app for a network unlock. At this point I think that the app didn't generate a backup of the efs folder (it told me it did, but then i found that my sd card was corrupted and had to throw it away - just my luck), and left me stuck with an invalid IMEI (the generic one 0049).
So I tried flashing the stock rom through Kies and SmartSwitch and flashing stock roms from sammobile, even tried downloading custom kernels, modems from xda, but nothing worked.
After all this, I have a full signal, unlocked phone (not asking about sim unlock or anything), but not registered on network. I think it is strange that it is showing me a full signal without a SIM car in the phone.
If anyone could help me out, that would be great.
Thank you in advance,
alexns89
P.S. I'm a newbie about the terms so please, be patient if I don't understand you.

Thanks for the reply.
I already did that and the 0049 imei still stands there I even tried downgrading from 4.4.2 to 4.1.2 and still nothing
My device in an SM-N930F. Can I just flash an Australian stock N930F ROM to remove all the branding? I've already rooted the device, so I'm pretty happy as is, but I'd feel better with stock.
Thanks guys

That I'm aware you can. I did that with my note 3 and it worked without issue till my note 7 arrived
Thanks ooMoo
I'm 99% sure I can, but I just wanted to bump this thread and see if I can get the okay from someone who knows 100% or has done it before.
Better to be safe than sorry! Anyone?
Yeah i did it to my Telstra one and my Partners Optus handset too.
Well, I thought I had bricked my Note 7.
I'm guessing the stock XSA firmware didn't want to flash because of TWRP? Basically I wiped everything in TWRP and went to install stock XSA, just like I've done plenty of times on my Note 4 without issue.
No matter what I tried it would fail instantly with <ID:0/006> FAIL! (DeviceInfo). The device would only boot to the logo screen. TWRP/DL mode was still accessible.
Read somewhere to check "Bootloader Update" under options in Odin and then continuously try to start the installation (With BL/AP/CP/CSC). Failed first 3 tries with instant fail and device reboot, succeeded on fourth attempt. I don't know if it helped but I got really quick with the reboot. I would hold HOME+VOLDOWN as soon as I pressed start in Odin so that if it did fail, it would instantly go into Download mode again and then I would instantly click start in Odin to retry.
Just thought I would post this. I have no idea if I missed something completely obvious but if you get stuck with the same issue as me this might help you.
Now running stock XSA firmware.
I was trying to root my samsung galaxy a5 2017 with TWRP and I accidentally deleted system data. Then, I tried rebooting the phone and it got stuck in a bootloop. To fix this problem I tried flashing stock 8.0 firmware from sammobile via odin and I got this error:
Sw rev. Check fail. Device: 6, binary 5. I think that this means I have to flash the latest stock firmware but there isn't a newer one.
After that, I tried to use my phone by flashing a custom rom (Lineage 15.1) and I discovered that I have no imei,no baseband and no ip adress. I have installed many custom roms but the issue is still there. I am trying to get my phone to work with stock firmware and fix the IMEI issue but odin wont let me flash because of that error. I would appreciate if anyone could help. Thanks.
Flash a firmware version that contains S6 or U6 in the middle, it won't work with U5/S5! Not the Samsung phone S5 or S6, but rather, the firmware version.
For cellular, change the modem firmware, or backup and wipe /data/. /data/data/?.
Unless the efs was wiped (probably not if the baseband version isn't there, load a backup then, only if the efs was wiped don't restore it otherwise, and it must not be a backup created with an older twrp, view the recovery log in the backup folder)

Listen to me, it happened to me 2 days ago, and I came to the conclusion that I was not flash the latest firmware. You need to flash the same firmware with the same bootloader or more recent, the error you receive is because you are flashing an older version of bootloader. Do one thing, type the code *#1234# on the phone keypad
mark the code that gives you on 'AP and look it on Sammobile at https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-a5/SM-A520F/ITV/ select your language and look for the firmware with your own code . You will see that odin flash it.
Samsung A520F Custom Binary Error
Hello please I have been trying to reload my Samsung A520F firmware for a couple of weeks
It all started with the phone trying to update (over WIFI) and somewhere along the line files must have gotten corrupted
This led to the phone constantly restart and shutting down applications
I decided to just download the firmware and use Odin to reload. This, unfortunately, didn't go so well as now the phone isn't starting up anymore but can still get to download mode.
PDA firmware is A520FXXUACSE6
Region is EUR
Network is OPEN
every time I use this firmware I get the error
" Custom binary (BOOT) Blocked by FRP Lock
Please note currently at the moment phone refuses to boot up I read about removing OEM lock and don't know if this is the problem.
Please could you help out

Obviously you are frp locked. But I didn't think that blocked from flashing official.
Hi all,
I am trying to reflash the unbranded firmware back on my unlocked S20 Ultra with Odin 3.14.4. I was able to flash the T-mo version, and currently my phone is tmo branded, so that worked, but everytime I try to flash back i get the SHA256 error. I do not know if it is because I am trying to flash the wrong firmware or I am doing something else wrong.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thanks everyone.

Ensure you don't any other usb devices plugged into the pc.
Thank you for the reply, that is not the issue though. Tested re flashing the Tmo firmware that is currently on it and it flashed ok. Its just tryign to reflash to the original unbranded that fails.
Got the answer. I needed to use the patched version of Odin

I am considering doing this to get the June security update. Any issues with using the "other" version of Odin? Is your phone still official. Also curious is stock advance messaging still works.
Thanks.

So I installed and it went back to the stock firmware. No longer do I have the tmobile bootscreen or additional software. What I am concerned with though is I tried an OTA update and I get: Your current software version isn't supported. Visit a service center.
What can I do about this?

If you used HOME_CSC, that might be your culprit.
I had this issue when I flashed TMO firmware on the unlocked phone. With me being lazy, I didn't want to start from scratch and flashed HOME_CSC to experience this exact issue. As soon as I flashed with full wipe, this issue was solved.

Yes, that was the reason I initially put the tmo firmware on. So the samsung messages app had RCS. With the stock, I have lost it.
