1) You can try adding Uppercut from https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g5/development/uppercut-lgup-loader-g5-variants-t3511295 Note: Must use LGUP version 1.14
2) If you are not using LGUP-NEW download from https://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/help/lgup-install-kdz-mm-lp-t3249803 and use that version. Recommended version to use.
3) If you are using LGUP-NEW already, then your alternative will be to use the LG Flash Tool 2014 from https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2797190 Note: You should be very sure that you are flashing a known and proven KDZ, i.e., one preferably that you have used before with no problems, otherwise you run the risk of hard-bricking your device. If you bought your phone 2nd hand or it is a refurbished model, it is possible that you do not have the model you think you do - only way to be really sure is to pull the phone apart and get the model number off the motherboard.
Make sure that you have the LG Mobile driver installed on your PC/Laptop before trying any of the above - it can be removed in certain instances and replaced with a generic one that doesn't allow full functioning or recognition of your device. Check in 'Device Manager' to confirm.
I ran into a similar issue to what you're experiencing after a harder soft brick with LGUP-NEW not recognizing my phone - option 3 was my last shot before sending it in for repair. The LG Flash Tool was the only thing that worked - it didn't recognize the phone but when I started the flash it worked perfectly - However, I did have a known KDZ that I had used before a few times with LGUP-NEW when it recognized and worked before. LGUP-NEW worked perfectly again after using the tool to flash the kdz.

When u plug in your USB cable to your phone do see in 'Device Manager' on your PC/Laptop: 'G4' under 'Portable Devices' and 'LGE Mobile USB Serial Port (COM_)' under 'Ports (COM & LPT)'?
If not, install or re-install the LGMobileDriver_WHQL_Ver_4.2.0 from: http://www.lg.com/us/support/software-firmware-drivers
- scroll down a little, you will see 'Popular Software' - 2nd from left below there is 'LG Mobile Drivers' - click/touch there and you will see 'LG Universal Mobile Drivers' again and below there the download links for your PC/Laptop operating system.
Then try LGUP-NEW again.
You could try a different USB cable if all is good in device manager.
If you sure what your phone model actually is what you are trying to flash (using last resort by confirming model # from the motherboard itself), it may have to be sent in for repair.

Your best bet would be to use LG software tool. You will get the rom at the factory setting and you will have to root the phone again (if you so desire). The tools and drivers can be downloaded from the link below. Once you install the tools on a PC, just plug in your phone with USB drive and follow the prompts. Here is the link for the tools:
http://www.mylgphones.com/lg-software-tools-download
Good luck!!
Nope no solution. Motherboard is corrupted. Use your warranty and get the phone RMA'd
Thanks for reply
The phone has been repaired by a professional
There is no any soldering required, and done by shorting two pins on the board, and flash with qhusb USB interface
Quiet simple way to repair
All imei/other info exists
Hi
LG G3 D855 OS Android 5 V21c-TWN-xx
I am trying to upgrade to MM via the subject Flash Tool but it gets as far as 15% and then a Window pops up telling me
that the Phone has been disconnected and to reconnect and retry.
The phone is still connected and showing as such in explorer. I re-installed the drivers and still the same problem.
Tried compatibility mode Win 8 and the same thing happens. Anyone have this problem in Win 10 or know of a way round it.
I also have a WIn 8.1 Laptop which I used to update to the current OS with Flash Tool 2014 but it is now stopping and giving an error
"This programme has stopped working MS is checking Blah Blah"
Stransky
Having the same issue here with D852
Reinstall G3 usb drivers

LG Up shows phone as "unknown" no matter what I do.
I also have a G Flex 2 and this shows up ok in LG Up.
Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
I downgraded from MM to LP two days ago. I had the little window saying "unknown "
The problem was that windows wasn't seeing my phone. I unplug the cable and plug it back and it worked. As I wrote before I am using windows 7.
Hi
Managed to get LG Tool 2014 to work and D855 now on v30b (MM) global.xx. Problem was driver related. I downloaded Win 10 G3 specific driver from LG site and everything then worked.
good to know pal.
i have lg g2 mini
the keyboard dos not start and my phone has number password
what can i do to restor my phone?
it is not root
I have windows 10 pro and i get same problem, i have solved this with driver usb install (sorry for my poor english)
Found my old LG-VS450PP Optimus Exceed 2 for Verizon. It was working fine when put away.
Charged the battery on a working phone (same model) but this recently resurrected phone will not boot up. Same results using vol+ / power or just power button regardless of sequencing battery out/usb cord in or out.
Gives error "boot certification verify" and then shuts down. Back light remains lit.
I can get it to open into another screen (Vol- / power) that offers four options: continue reboot, factory data reset, wipe cache, safe mode boot. Selecting any of those options results in the unit shutting down.
Vol+ plus power do not open Download window.
While it fails to boot, I can still see two folders on my Win 7 PC: image and verinfo. Image contains numerous files . So the phone IS connected to the PC but there appears to be something else that fails to initiate "connection" as far as the LG Flash tool 2014 is concerned. Any suggestions welcome.
Thinking of last resorts, I read somewhere of shorting a test point on the board but can't find directions for this model.
This web site is goog and helpfull for me.

Hi,
Yesterday I have flashed a 6.0 ROM and right afterwards a supersu on my G Pad.
I guess something got messed up in the process because now I can't boot the ROM and not even boot into recovery.
I've tried to get into download mode using LG PC suite, but without success. someone has an idea how I can maybe save the tablet?
here is the error that I get :
I assume you have the V500 variant? If you go through the motions of putting it in Download mode through the hardware keys (I don't know if it's the same as on my VK810 variant), does it show up in Windows' Device Manager as "LGE..." in both the Modem and Ports section? If so, try flashing a TOT or KDZ made for your variant.

What about under Modem? If it shows up under Modem then it might be worth a try flashing a KDZ with LG Flash Tool 2014.
I've never had to get a different driver package for different flavors of Windows for my LG devices. I've used the same packages on 7, 8.1 and 10 without any trouble. I don't know if things are different with non-Verizon LG devices, however, but I doubt it since LG is the one who does the driver work. I always go straight to LG's or in my case Verizon's website for the latest driver for my devices.
Are there anything listed in Device Manager as Unknown Device? If not, then it's not likely installing a different driver will produce a different result, as if Windows can't even see the device as unknown, then installing the driver won't help, but it can't hurt to try the latest driver version if you haven't already. Reboot after installing the driver and use the original USB cable and preferably with a USB 2.0 port that comes straight off your PC's motherboard (or on the back of the PC) and not through a USB hub.

I even tried to connect it on a win8.1 machine , but the tablet was not recognized as well.

Are you using the original USB cable that came with the device? After you install the driver, reboot the PC without the device connected, then go through the motions of putting the device in Download mode and connect the device to a USB 2.0 port (preferred over USB 3.x) that comes directly off the PC's motherboard - not through a USB Hub.
Give the PC up to 10 minutes to load the driver you had previously installed. Every time you connect a device for the first time to a different USB port, it has to load the driver again, and depending on various factors can take anywhere from 30 seconds to 10 minutes. After that amount of time if the Device Manager still isn't showing the device in the Modem and Port sections, then I don't have any idea what else to try either.
I have a LG G3 D855 I've been looking at for about a week now, it wont boot no matter what is flashed onto it. Tried as many guides as I could find but still nothing.
Anyone got any ideas?
Tried Flash tool with KDZ direct from LG, tried installing TWRP but it won't install, tried LG PC suit recovery and nothing. na-da.

Is it recognized in the device manager of your PC? If yes - what does it say?
*When I'm in download mode it shows up as "LGE Mobile USB composite device" under USB controllers.

Actually...it's not what it's showing up as. Under "Universal Serial Bus controllers" it should be listed, but yours is listed as LGE AndroidNet USB serial port(com 41) under "ports". That is looking like a soft brick. I had a similar problem occur when I unplugged a phone while it was flashing/upgrading. You'll need to TOT back to stock since KDZ has failed you. Scroll down to the TOT method... https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2785089
I see you are on com41 - have you already tried TOT? If yes and it fails, what is the error?
*Also, you may need to uninstall any mobile device drivers and reinstall just the LG drivers for things to work right.

Hy,
I own LG G3 2/16 and I have problem with internal memory, its full altough I moved all aps, photos and media to SD card and I decided to root and refresh with custom ROM.
The problem is I'm on V30C ( Croatia ) and there is no root method for that version ( I tried newest Kingroot and previous versions without effect ) so I googled and found that if I flash with LG UP to V30B I can root phone with Kingroot.
Well,I installed LG drivers for G3,LG up recognizes there is LG device on COM port but these messages I get when I choose G3.
Windows 8.1 is operating system, but I tried on Windows 7 Ultimate and no effect.
I tried different USB cables, different ports and differents packs of drivers,G3 is recognized in Windows using MTP mount and in device manager,LG UP recognizes there is LG device but status is unknown so any help would be aprreciated.
Also where can I find V30B internation version for my G3 so I dont have to worry about bricking device ?
D85530b_00_0317.kdz
Have you tried plugging the phone in while in download mode ?
You need to use the LG mobile support tool from LG website ( LG UP sees phone as unknown model ) run LG mobile Support tool and in option choose UPGRADE RECOVERY
As long as you can get download mode it should recover
Kingroot works with v30c(february 2016 security update). That's how I rooted my phone.
