[Q] Moderator Question

I PMed Mr. Clown Asking About What It Would Take To Become A Moderator. He Told Me That There Was A Recruitment Forum That Has Ended. The Reason I Ask This Is I Am The Owner Of A DroidX2 And I Am Disabled Meaning I'm Home Alot. Also I'm Constantly On Here And A Few Other Forums. My Help Would Not Be Limited To Just My Phone As I Love To Help Out Anyone And Everyone. To Me There Is No Stupid Question, Knowledge Is Power. I Hope That Some Mods And Admins See This And Recognize That I'm Here To Uphold The Rules Here To Keep This Community Clean And Safe. I Look Forward To Any Response In Regards To My Request.

I am also in support of mike. He is constantly one of the first to reply to many questions and I know he moderates nicely over at droidforums.
One of the most helpful and quick to respond with very USEFUL info all the time. Good luck mike u deserve it.

I just wanted to take a moment to thank the administrators, moderators, and members of this forum.
Unfortunately, it's difficult to find a forum anymore where people behave with common (uncommon?) courtesy toward each other. Here people are courteous and extremely helpful.
Having run a couple of VERY small forums, I know that it's a huge undertaking to keep the trolls at bay.
I thank those that give there time and effort into doing so, and all the members who contribute and help others out.
I hope that I can contribute over time as well.

[OFF] Interesting developers survey

Hi guys, sorry for the offtopic, but this survey might be interesting for developers. My post isn't a spam (most of you know me very well), and "Developer economics" are not a spammers at all! These guys will provide you (as they doing it for me) a semi-annual statistics reports about current trends in the mobile (and not mobile only) development, mobile OS'es statistics etc. and so on. Unfortunately, I can't publish any of these reports because of NDA (and you will receive these reports with "do not publish" label). But trust me - these reports are interesting.
Also, these guys are providing some rewards or raffles for taking their surveys. I personally received (during a last three years) about $300 in Amazon cards.
As for this survey: it's kinda long but you may save your progress and continue any time later. But even a questions in this survey shows current industry state perfectly

Huawei sponsorship of XDA?

I'm going to apologize in advance if this has been covered elsewhere and I do not intend to stir the pot. Some time ago, when surfing XDA for info, I found references to sponsorship or funding by Huawei. (Admittedly, I don't seem to see that anymore.) Given that there are at least some concerns about Huawei's relationship with the Chinese government, could someone clarify for me if there is such a sponsorship or involvement by Huawei?

I don't know why you are surprised by legal sponsorship. After all, you can find links through google, such as this one:

Thank you for that information. The impression that I received, some time ago, was that Huawei was sponsoring the entire site, not just a particular post. If that's incorrect, then any concerns are alieviated.
