I just wanted to take a moment to thank the administrators, moderators, and members of this forum.
Unfortunately, it's difficult to find a forum anymore where people behave with common (uncommon?) courtesy toward each other. Here people are courteous and extremely helpful.
Having run a couple of VERY small forums, I know that it's a huge undertaking to keep the trolls at bay.
I thank those that give there time and effort into doing so, and all the members who contribute and help others out.
I hope that I can contribute over time as well.
Thanks, and happy new year.
-Geoff

Hello, I frequent the CDMA Hero boards several times a day and the subforum lacks active moderation. Control of stickies, keeping threads on topic and maintaining the general peace.
Here is a thread from the subforum that several users have mentioned, requested an active moderator.

Yes, we desperately need some help over there. It's a bit of a mess right now but has the potential to be a great forum!
Thank you obelisk79 for spearheading this.
I don't use the device nor am I familiar enough with Android to be effective there. However, I'll bring it up to the mods and see if we can't get someone to take a closer look. I'll check things out now and see how they look too.

Thanks, the subforum has needed serious attention for a week or so.
Glad to help however I can. If you do see something that may need some attention, please send me or another mod a PM and we'll take care of it.

Thank you for paying attention to this. The threads you have stickied will be a great help to people looking for info or ROMs.
There is one ROM thread you overlooked though:

Please sticky it.
Thanks again!

Hmm.. didn't see that one last night. It's stuck now, thanks.
You can request mods?
Sorry about asking.
Our subforum was just feeling a bit neglected. We were just looking for someone to come in and clean things up a bit. The mods have taken care of things for us which his greatly appreciated by all the CDMA Hero users.

Thank you TaurusBullba. I can sleep easier now!
Ok everyone, unless I completely overlooked it I didn't see a thread where you can publicly say thanks to fellow members for their help. I know at times we see things in forums and what not. But why not have a thread specifically where you can thank a person for helping you out with and issue or if they pointed you in the right direction. Nothing wrong with a little thank you, kindness goes a long way.
First to Say Thanks
Coppertop - helped me and pointed me in the right links for my first Hard-SPL and ROM Flash. He was more than helpful and patient!!!
Moved as not ROM Development.
A way of thanking can be via star rating.
Why not just say thanks to that person in the thread in which they helped you?

Exactly! Quote their helpful answer, perhaps, and say "Thanks!".
Maybe some concern that such posts would be considered superfluous and off-topic, but so are flaming posts...except that these would be off-topic and good rather than evil.
I just wanted to post a general thanks to everyone. This site has been instrumental in helping me along the way to understanding Android, my smartphone, and how its' dumbuser is attempting to change things just a little bit better. I have joined to say that, learn more, and hopefully help out others as I have been helped.
With Gratitude,

Welcome to forums,

Thank you orb300, the biggest help is certainly SEARCH. I appreciate your warm welcome.

This is the place where all "dumbusers" can help make a smart users project better....and have a "funner" android.

Welcome aboard OP.
You don't have to be crazy to be a member here...but it helps
Thanks from my end!
Hi members/developers,
Just wanted to add to what stalintc said, this site is definitely one of THE best of all websites! This website has by far made my boring old HTC Touch HD into a super awesome machine capable of anything! (well not ANYTHING - but you know what i mean).
P.s. HUGE thanks to those who have worked/working on the Android stuff; Legends!

hey Welcome ;-)
Welcome I agree this is a great place with tons of great info. It has helped me get my Captivate going at least 5 or 6 times so far when I thought I had bricked it
Thanks Superchunkwii.....your step-by-step guide was awesome. I was previously rooted and on SC 2.9 w/ EC01 radio but decided to go back to stock and get the OTA programming. After that, it wouldn't let me root using the methods I had used in the past (when I came from stock 2.1 a few months ago). This method allowed me to FINALLY get back to a rooted phone so I could get back to experimenting with various ROMs. Thanks again!!

Thanks for posting this thread! Gives us new posters a place to post, so we will eventually be allowed to post on the other threads!
This is also what I going to say. The forum is great.
This place is amazing to me. I'm new to the Android way of life and not a very technically minded person. I want to thank everyone on this site for their time and devotion to this. I have learned many things here and look forward to learning more and do intend to donate. Thank you. Rob
Welcome and enjoy XDA!
