Has anyone had success installing and running pdanet? I can install it on my phone, but I cannot connect to install on my computer. Whenever I plug in the phone I get the MTP driver fail.
I've tried using Kies to install new drivers, I've tried uninstalling and deleting all USB drivers and then reinstalling through Windows Update all with no success. I'm on Windows 7 64-bit if that makes any difference.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, or any other recommendations to working wired tethering apps that do not require root and/or work on ICS.
Use koush wired tether you download to phone

root should not be the problem. does your kernal support otg? do you have usb debugging enabled. root explorer to open the files.

Note are you on stock rom? as some roms dont support otg. try using stickmount or go to a file explorer app and navigate to usb. This should work. If you want your xbox controller to work you will have to get an app from the google play store. You will have to do more research on this.

I use ElementalX kernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2389022 Use Stick Mount App from the Playstore.
Hi.. you could try rebooting while your otg drive is plugged in.. sometimes nexus doesnt supply enough power to the microusb port.. this happens i think if you install custom kernel with y-otg charging support

I do as well v2.15 and CM M10 both the latest, and I can't get the OTG to work while charging. Can you tell me what combination of settings you use as they relate to OTG or host mode? Here's my link with test results in the Elementalx forum

I am having controller problems with select amazon games and I need some advice. First off, I have a rooted Fire TV and PS4/DS4 controller.
I have remapped some buttons using the method provided by member lilcza1. Works great!
However, I am having trouble with some games. Specifically, I cannot play “Naught 2″ because the controller does not recognize the D-pad or the ‘A’ button. Also, the game “Hero to Many” does not recognize the D-pad. I suspect I'm having this problem because I cannot update the controller.
1) Is there a way to update the controller(s) without updating the firmware? Perhaps there is a way to download the controller update and push that to the fire tv?
2) I have the pre-rooted firmware "51.1.4.1_514013920 fixed" by rbox installed. I also have the amazon update websites blocked at the router level. IF I were to allow the updates to install, would amazon recognize that I have the latest firmware and update the controller, ONLY?
3) Is this even an issue? If I allow the updates to install, and I somehow get the stock firmware installed, could I easily revert back to pre-rooted firmware "51.1.4.1_514013920 fixed" using CWM?
Any ideas?
My Logitech K400 has stopped working after the update to the latest rom from rbox. The rest of the Firetv seems to be ok. haven't seen a thread on this so am a little confused
The keyboard does work well during the bootup menu. I can still move up or down and it works in the recovery menu as well. It just doesn't work in the latest OS. The remote works fine.

My Bad. USB Debugging was on dummy me
This maybe a question already asked and answered...I hope not.
Can a rooted ouya loaded with cyanogenmod be used to root other android devices?
I have a USB keyboard connected to the ouya, the keyboard has USB ports built into it as well.
I know the ouya would have to be able to detect the other android devices and install various drivers.
Any thoughts?
James
No thoughts on this?
Does anyone know if its possible?
