Hello guys
I have flashed lollipop in my oppo find 7 but I want to go back to the official stock firmware v1.2.3i so can any one tell how can I do it I have the official stock rom but while flashing it says installation failed please tell.
Have you enabled unified storage on lollipop, because it has to be disabled before to downgrade 1.2.3i.
Beware that will wipe your data.
Hello all developers, I have a noob question, please guide. I have ZenFone 2 running on stock android 5.0 and it is rooted. Now I have to flash custom roms and mods but also want to update stock Rom to android 6.0 whenever ASUS provide updates. So I have a simple idea as below -
1) Install flashify app.
2) Take backup of stock recovery.
3) Flash CWM.
4) Take nandroid backup.
5) Now I can flash custom roms.
6) When ASUS provide updates, flash nandroid backup.
7) Flash stock recovery through Flashify.
8) Full unroot from supersu.
Thus my phone will be fully stock and I can update stock Rom to android 6.0 .
Will this trick work; please tell. I am eagerly waiting for your replies.

you have to unlock bootloader if you want to flash custom rom !!!
if you unlock bootloader with official tools. you cant receive any update from asus with OTA. but you can flash full stock rom with twrp via sideload or edit stock rom zip then install with twrp.
somebody can unlock bootloader without official tools (i dont try) and they can update OTA
srr my english

Thank you very much for the information. Btw, can I make changes to stock Rom without unlocking bootloader and revert back to fully stock phone when OTA comes with the above method ?

just root and xposed. but you can receive OTA until unroot and delete xposed (if you know how to)
So, I'm still in lollipop blobs and would like to update to marshmallow. Can I just flash the latest mm stock rom to any stock recovery? Or do I need to flash the first mm stock rom release before flashing the latest stock?
Edit: Does upgrading to mm makes the bl locked?
Hello,
You could grab the latest full stock MM to the root of SD card and let FOTAService to detect it and choose the package. It'll automatically reboot to recovery to flash updates.
I successfully updated to stock MM .134 from .196 LL without relocking bootloader. Some may have their bootloader re-locked.
Regards.

Hi there, I have my reasons, but I want to return back to a custom Oreo rom, I'm currently on a custom ROM with the latest firmware 9.0.7, so is it a case of downloading a earlier stock firmware, flashing in recovery? Also as I want to stay decrypted too, do I still use the v4 no Verity file on Oreo?
Thanks everyone
I am also thinking of going back to Oreo and have my reasons also. I think the best way would be to use the Aroma installer by brad which has oreo stock too.

would also be very interested if downgrade is possible. bought a used 5t with pie but need xposed and a few modules. anybody out there who tried downgrade?
Hi..I successfully downgraded my 5t to Oreo ob19 using flashable zip from below link
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5t/how-to/oneplus-5t-mirrors-official-oxygen-os-t3708099
Copy the rom zip to internal storage. Reboot into stock/twrp
Wipe data/cache reset system settings
Flash zip and wipe cache then restart
We are back into the good old Oreo...
Hello,
I haven't flashed my phone for about 2 years.
I am running Firehound 8.1.0 64bit with TWRP 3.1.2-0 (I think)
Do I need to flash anything other than the latest TWRP to enable me to flash android 9.0 & 10.0 ROMs? As when I upgraded to 8.0 I seem to remember their being a bit of work involved.
Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer.
All you need is a 64bit unofficial twrp
Format data to remove encryption with twrp & wipe system & cache
As long as your stock base firmware is oero nothing else is required (if you are still on nougat firmware your fingerprint reader will not work unless you flash oero stock firmware or fingerprint fix)
The process is exactly the same for any custom rom

Is there a way to tell whether I am running Nougat or Orio based firmware? The build I am on is from March 2018. I think I remember reading about this back then but I'm unsure as to whether I flashed stock Orio or not.
I will have a look through my ROMs thread to see if stock Orio was a pre requisite.
So if I am on stock Orio, all I should need to do is update TWRP and I'll be good to go?
Edit,
I just looked through the ROM thread and the dev said a camera issue would not be fixed until stock Orio released. I have a new laptop now so looks like ill have to get ADB and fastboot back up and running then fastboot stock Orio before flashing a new ROM.
Thanks for you help
