It looks like I've managed to flash an image meant for the Moto Z, as in LOS-based roms my device model is XT1650-03. This even shows up under SKU in the stock rom. I think this is a bootloader flag, does anyone know how to change it?

I recently bought an used n7105 and CPU-Z shows t0lteXX as model. What is that XX stand for ? I ask this because i want to try out some custom roms and i don't want to end up with a brick.
I know how to root the device, how to install a custom recovery / rom, but i don't know what XX mean. Is it a region code, a carrier code, a hardware code ? Will any t0lte rom work on it ?
you can use t0lte roms with no worries
I've read all the forum but if I am not wrong, there is nothing about this phone (e986) to pass LG security and to install a custom recovery (twrp is preferable) that really work and so there is no custom ROM which one runs stabile on that phone. I saw there are some other variants and all of them have different ways to install recovery or have different ROMs. If a ROM support one variant, then it does not support other variants.
I really appreciate if someone has a guide to install recovery (especially twrp), to pass LG security and link to a custom ROM that enough stabil to daily usage (like CM or LineageOS).
Note: I am on rooted stock Android 4.42
Everything you've read for E980, E988 etc. is actually about same phone. E980 = E981 = E985 = E986 = E988 = E989 - all same hardware, but different modem firmware due to regional differences with supported network frequencies, and some models are with 32GB storage, some with 16GB.
F240 devices are different, but not too different.
Hi ,
I have one of the gearbest XT1635-03 chinese Moto Z plays. As most know there is an issue with the camera etc.
I am happy to custom rom but do i need to look out for a certain rom? I suppose they will be different for the different variations of phone?
With a custom rom will the camera issue be resolved?
I dont mind a fairly non bloated android 7 custom rom if possible or a European standard rom.
Phone details state software variant- retcn

Any help appreciated. May need a dummies guide as havent messed with custom roms for years.

I have a Verzion Moto Z Play XT1635-01. Can I flash this Oreo image? Will it work fine?

I don't think you can flash that firmware onto a Verizon Z Play - if I recall, Verizon devices run the NDN26/NDNS26 Nougat builds of firmwares. As such you'd likely need the ODN27/ODNS27 builds of Oreo stock firmwares, which unfortunately means waiting for Verizon (or hope that there's a leak of the ODN Oreo stock firmware). Trying to flash the retail OPN27 firmware would likely be rejected by your bootloader.
I have a US Action One xt2013-4 and want to flash Android 11 to it. I see that there is an Android 11 ROM for the 2013-2 version. Can this be done? I previously had a US HTC One M9 and was able to flash an EU stock rom to it after I changed one setting in the phone. Just wondering if this is possible here as well or if there is a clear howto on flashing the EU version ROM to the US version phone.
My phone is at the lastest current firmware from Moto: 10_QSBS30.121-12-12-12. The EU version I grabbed is: 11_RSBS31.Q1-48-36-14.
I have not yet unlocked or tried anything as I do not want to brick anything.
No one? The instructions for my old HTC went like this and I wonder is there is some similar way to convert this US version Moto One Action to a EU variant to get the Android 11 update...
convert HTC ATT to EU
