Can I flash Fastboot stock Oreo image on Verizon Moto Z Play - Moto Z Play Questions & Answers

I have a Verzion Moto Z Play XT1635-01. Can I flash this Oreo image? Will it work fine?
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mo...m-official-fastboot-stock-oreo-image-t3786537

I don't think you can flash that firmware onto a Verizon Z Play - if I recall, Verizon devices run the NDN26/NDNS26 Nougat builds of firmwares. As such you'd likely need the ODN27/ODNS27 builds of Oreo stock firmwares, which unfortunately means waiting for Verizon (or hope that there's a leak of the ODN Oreo stock firmware). Trying to flash the retail OPN27 firmware would likely be rejected by your bootloader.

Help finding a xt1635-02 official stock rom, please!

Hello, i'm new here ^^
Anyway, i bought a moto z play in december of last year and i decided to root it with twrp software. It worked fine. Well, the android 7 nougat released and i really wanted to update my cellphone, but not by OTA. I removed the root using supersu and flashed a stock ROM hoping i would be able to do the update. I was able to download the new version but not install it. Later i discovered that the ROM i installed was a custom one so i cant update the android version anyway. I looked up for a original rom to flash in motorola's website but there's not roms to the moto z cellphones. After that i looked up for official stock rom 6.0.1 xt1635-02 on google but none of the sites looked like they were trustable. Can anyone tell me if there's any official stock rom for moto z play dual chip and a quick guide how to flash it using adb minimal fastboot?
Edit: I am from brazil, i just found out that the roms are different depending where you are from

No official signed ROM is available for this device ... So no official ROM
Though you can download stock ROM unsigned from the above given link

Downgrade Android version in a Verizon Moto Z play?

Hello, I havea Moto Z play from Veryzon ( bootloader can't be unlocked) XT-1635-01
Is it possible to flash a stock firmware? if so, can I flash an Android 6 stock rom? It currently has the latest Android 7 update with security patch from february 2018.
Thank you!
No. With a locked bootloader you can only flash current firmware and newer, older is impossible in general, especially over major updates which is already very hard on unlocked bootloader

Moto Z2 Force: Looking for US Retail unlocked version of most recent Oreo ROM

Does a Carrier or US Retail (unlocked) version flashall.bat ROM file exist?

I have an AT&T nash and I was wondering if it is possible for me to flash stock pie

I have an AT&T nash and I was wondering if it is possible for me to flash stock pie
There is no pie for nash xt1789-04 (att) but there is pie released for other z2 force. Will it break my phone if I flash pie stock over ATT stock rom? If so, can I have a link to the pie rom?
There's no stock 9.0 for any model. GSIs and custom ROMs are available, but an unlocked bootloader is required for either route. Users of the ATT & VZ models must wait for Moto to rollout Pie officially.
If you're interested in those things I'd strongly recommend selling your ATT Z2.

Oh, I thought pie was out because on gsmarena it says it's upgradeable. I guess it's wrong.
But when this does come out, for let's say, Sprint, is it possible for me to flash a sprint rom to my ATT MZ2F?

Moto released their update rollout. Among the phones slated to receive Pie you'll find the Z2 and Z2 Play.
Sure, you can try to flash the official build on your Z when it's out. Just keep in mind that the phone will probably lose LTE, and possibly other functions.
Ok thank you for answering

Normally, yes you can flash from a different model (i.e. Sprint FW on TMO model), with the exception of the AT&T/Verizon variants, which are bootloader locked, and you cannot flash anything (not even official firmware) on them.

That's wrong because I was able to flash android 8.0 att over 7.1.1 because it wouldn't let me update normally. I'm pretty sure you can flash images with the same stock signature, but I'm asking if it's possible to flash stock firmware from another model on to att phone with bootloader locked
