Hello, I have been searching the internet for months trying to find a modem firmware file for this tablet. I was wondering if someone could please provide that for me so that I can flash it to this tablet and fix the Wi-Fi. When I try to turn on Wi-Fi on this tablet it gets stuck at "Turning on..." and there is nothing I can do from there in the graphical user interface. However when I run the command "adb logcat" in a terminal with this tablet connected, I am able to read the crash dump of the wpa_supplicant. It says that the radio is unknown and that it failed to initialize the driver interface. This tablet is not rooted and is not running any custom software or firmware. This problem stems from a failed software update. I have tried factory resetting the tablet via the settings app and by “Device initialisation” in the Smart Switch software. Just to be clear, all I need is the modem.bin file for the Samsung SM-T520 (Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1). If someone could provide that for me or tell me which firmware would contain the modem.bin file, that would be great! I have downloaded many firmware files for this tablet (I downloaded at least 20GB worth last night) and none of them contain a modem.bin file. Thank you in advance and have a great day!
Have you had any resolution to the issue?
I have been working on a separate thread for a T530NU that is having the same issues. In my case, I do not even have access to the UI through stock ROM's and have to rely on custom ROM's to see the wifi and BT issues as well as the logcat readout.
What OS are you running on the tab and did it go through a OTA update from KK to LP?

Choose your region (US is "Cellular South" for some reason)
I think they usually have the modem file included, not 100% sure but probably your best bet. It is supposed to be the entire stock firmware...

Firstly, my problem is not simply updating, so it is a request to moderators for not locking this thread.
Now, here is the problem. I started upgrading my Wave II via Kies. It downloaded and said it was updating. But then it gave me a prompt saying that it will put me on a temporary firmware for backing up my data. So, technically this is the point that I am stuck on.
I mean, what do I do to go ahead of this.
I tried "Firmware Initialization" in the Tools. It says "GT-S8530" does not support Firmware initialization.
So what after this? When I open up my phone, it must be connected to the PC running Kies, and it always runs on Airplane mode. So it looks like it is meant only for backing up the data. So what do I do?
Either I want to upgrade to 2.0 or revert to the stock 1.2 just to fix this problem.
And also, I won't prefer unofficial method. As I have been having a few problems with my phone like Hanging. So if the problem does not get fixed with update, I may have to take it to a service center.
You can flash the rom you want thanks to multiloader.
Hello XDA friends
The device Galaxy Note PRO 12.2 (LTE) SM-P905 was with TGY P905ZSUANB1 firmware.
Device is with stock rom, never rooted and fully encryped.
After OTA updade it becomes to P905ZSUANG1 firmware and WiFi gone, it shows saved networks but didn't find any signal. (Restarted many times. Moile data works well. )
I decrypt device.
Donwload whole P905ZSUANG1 firmware and update via ODIN. WiFi back again and everything fine.
Today, it was new OTA update P905ZSUANH1 and device goes in same situation: WiFi not finding any network.
It will take me some time again to download newer FW, decrypt device, update via ODIN and encrypt it again.
My questions are:
Is it normal to behaviour or problem is with current device/firmwares?
Anyone have similar problem updating OTA on ENCRYPTED (any other) device?
________________________________________________________________________
P.P.
I decrypt again device.
Update via odin to P905ZSUANH1.
WiFi not works
Downgrade via odin to P905ZSUANG1.
WiFi back to to live an works again.
Decide to make a test.
Update via odin to P905ZSUANH1 (not OTA).
WiFi not works
Again downgrade via odin to P905ZSUANG1.
WiFi WORKS!
Totally disable OTA update checking.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2, 10.1, 8.4 - Solution to WiFi problem!!!
The problem is interesting for a few reasons. This happened to me exactly the same way. Took the device to service and was fully erased and rebooted. Worked fine immediately after until I activated my services with google, dropbox... Then wifi again was not visible and only the saved wifi from the service dealer visible. Went into Wi-Fi > Advanced and disabled "Passpoint" and all was well again. Somehow some service triggered enabling of Passpoint causing the problem. Who was it? Google or Dropbox?
and my phones doesn't recognize my sim anymore. I can receive calls and dial and it says 'no service' I am unable to load anything on the internet on my LTE connection, but can still send text messages.
I have always just factory reset and flashed a new rom/gapps/davlick and cache wipe.
SOmething I am seeing with the i747 is that people are speaking about updating bootloaders etc etc? Do I have to do this? Is my problem with radio or modem ( I reflashed the stock modem)?
Someone plase guide me as the documentation on this and upgrading bootloaders isn't too clear and can potentially brick a phone from what I understand.
Cm12 also doens't work like the LiquidSmooth lollipop. However 4.1.2 and the original ICS roms work. What is going on here?
Also I have a job interview so really need his up and running with new Lollipop;(
Solution: Had to upadte the modem to modem_CWM_I747UCUEMJB Seems to be working

Glad you now have it working.
If you intend to update to Lollipop ROMs you will find you need to be on KitKat bootloaders. Once at this version the bootloader and modem(baseband) versions must always match. I would strongly recommend confirming what each are before flashing anything else. You can do this with the Phone Info - Samsung from the Playstore, by vndnugyen. Or you could use these Terminal Emulator commands to do the same thing:
Code:
getprop ro.bootloader
getprop | grep baseband.version
Well, I had your problem before, all I did is to flash a fresh copy of the factory firmware and it works wonder.
The link is on ANDROIDAYOS and I can't link it because I am too new to post link
1. Get your PC
2. Download the factory firmware (select the version of the Android you got when you bought your phone)
3. Download the Odin thing from the link above (any version work)
4. Wait 7 hours for the factory firmware to download...
5. Extract either download somewhere on your computer
6. Open Odin
7. Click on "AP" or "PDA"
8. Select your extracted factory firmware
9. Put your GS3 sgh i747m on Odin mode
You put a gs3 on Odin mode by first shutting down. After you press on "Volume Down" + "Power button" + "Home button". It will take you to accept their condition that it's your responsibility to not screw your phone and blah blah. Accept it by pressing "Volume up"
10. Connect your Sgh i747m on your PC
11. Odin with detect
12. Press on "Start" on Odin
13. Wait
14. Disconnect your Sgh i747m from the PC and enjoy your factory new phone!
Bootloader version: I747UCDLK3 (4.1.1)
Baseband I747UCUEMJB
How do I even update my bootloader, do you have a link to what I can ODIN(PDA) flash? Never uploaded my bootloader ever...I think
Also I"m confused this seems to be working fine (although my GPS might need more driving /testing might a cellular issue) so the 'required kitkat' is clearly not true right?
Is the phone sim unlocked? If not, flashing a completely stock ATT 4.1.1 ROM should be possible since the phone's bootloader is lk3 4.1.1. After flashing the stock 4.1.1, the free method can be used to permanently sim unlock the phone.
To make sure your phone will work with the most recent custom ROMs, I suggest flashing back to a stock 4.1.1 ROM and run OTA updates until the phone is running the most recent ROM. This is the slowest method but the safest in my opinion.
Hello my friends.
I'm here to ask for your help, could someone please help me.
I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition SM-P601 (wifi + 3G) variant, it has installed Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.
From the settings menu i already notice that my tablet has a Kenya (AFR) Firmware.
At this point i have bad wifi connections and bad GSM internet connections. The signal is very weak, and the speeds are always arround 1mbps / 2mbps / 6mpbs.
I assume that changing the firmware to another version, should fix my problem.
The situation is that i can't flash any other stock firmware or custom firmware. Even i can't flash any recovery (TWRP or CWM) in my device.
When i start the flash process in ODIN, some errors occurs. i get stucked on "Get PIT for Mapping..." and the process stops.
I can't do anything on my tablet.
Product Name : lt033gxx
Product Code : SM-P6010ZWEAFR
Original CSC Code : AFR
Firmw CSS Code : AFR
Active CSC Code: AFR
CSC Country : Kenya / AE
BL Version : P601XXSDPK1
PDA Version : P601XXSDPK1
CSC Version : P601OJVDPI1
Modem : P601XXUDPC1
How can i pass this issue, i want to flash or a custom rom or another stock rom (like the russian's (SER) one).
Best regards from Portugal.

so much views.... and nobody can help me... :crying:
I've flashed my tablet lots of time using either ODIN or TWRP, and I've never encountered something like this. Perhaps you should try finding the full release of stock firmware for p601? The one that also has the bootloader, partition table, whatever, that also has files attachable to ODIN's BL, AP, CSC etc. I'm using P600, I have the full actual firmware release that I can flash using ODIN, in case something goes really badly, where it basically deletes everything and installs fresh software, partitions and all. Resets all to stock of course, but fixes every single problem. Works all the time I need it to. However, in case you do have such a release, have you tried using ODIN from another computer?
See, apparently there's an issue, in which you have to connect the tablet using a USB 2.0 port (black colored), rather than 3.0 (blue colored). It's related to drivers, specifications, or whatever thingamagic beneath the carpet, but I always flash and connect using 2.0 port, on a Windows 7 PC. USB 3.0 gives me lots of issues, such as device not recognised, random disconnection etc.
Another suggestion, in addition to connecting using port 2.0 from another computer, is to use a different ODIN version? Try searching for releases that are used/recommended by developers of the device.
Finnaly, i just got my tablet flashing again.
I just resolved those problems.
I tested using my other PC, with other O.S (windows 7) other diferent pc, and the flashing process worked like a charm
PS: i always use 2.0 usb ports.
But my wifi and gsm connections speeds remains the same, i continue to have very bad and weak connections speeds.
I don't know how to resolve this issue. Maybe replacement the wifi and gsm boards or antennas may resolve the issues....
I have Samsung Tab S T800 running on Android 6.0.1 ZTO. I can't turn on WiFi and Bluetooth. MAC address and Bluetooth address also don't show up on settings. When I press the WiFi button (on the quick settings), it turns green for 3-6 seconds, then it turns back to white again (same as Bluetooth button).
Could someone point me what's the cause and how to fix it? I need the 'modem.bin' file to flash it via odin, but i can not find it. Please, i need your help!

Just download and flash with odin the latest firmware for your device, that should fix any issues with corrupted/mismatched drivers.

I made it. I've tried several roms: 4.4.2, 5.0, 6.0.1. No results. There is no modem.bin file. If you have TWRP installed, please backup the modem and share it with me. Thanks.

Pretty much every Samsung firmware I've downloaded contains the modem image(and I've downloaded a lot).
Which firmware in particular have you downloaded which doesn't have the modem firmware?
I have the same problem, I think harware failure(wifi/bluetooth module).
the battery drains even when the phone is turned off.
