I have Samsung Tab S T800 running on Android 6.0.1 ZTO. I can't turn on WiFi and Bluetooth. MAC address and Bluetooth address also don't show up on settings. When I press the WiFi button (on the quick settings), it turns green for 3-6 seconds, then it turns back to white again (same as Bluetooth button).
Could someone point me what's the cause and how to fix it? I need the 'modem.bin' file to flash it via odin, but i can not find it. Please, i need your help!

Just download and flash with odin the latest firmware for your device, that should fix any issues with corrupted/mismatched drivers.

I made it. I've tried several roms: 4.4.2, 5.0, 6.0.1. No results. There is no modem.bin file. If you have TWRP installed, please backup the modem and share it with me. Thanks.

Pretty much every Samsung firmware I've downloaded contains the modem image(and I've downloaded a lot).
Which firmware in particular have you downloaded which doesn't have the modem firmware?
I have the same problem, I think harware failure(wifi/bluetooth module).
the battery drains even when the phone is turned off.

I'm on stock, rooted odex. I believe the issue happened after I rooted. On boot, it forgets all previously connected WiFi networks. The only mods I've flashed was the 4-way boot (which didn't work since I have CWM and not TWRP). I've tried deleting the dhcp files in the dhcp folder and the wpa files in the etc/wifi folder. Neither worked.
Anyone else having this issue?
Edit: Factory wipe didn't rectify the issue. Guess I'll ODIN back to stock. Hopefully this is a hardware issue.
Strange.....mine works fine, rebooted numerous times.

Figured out the issue. I mistakenly flashed the T800 autoroot instead of the T700 autoroot.
Hi
I am stepping in on this thread, because I encounter this issue.
I just rooted by Galaxy Tab S 8.4 (LTE) - T705 and I followed this site http://theunlockr.com/2014/08/09/how-to-root-the-samsung-galaxy-tab-s-8-4-lte/, used as instructed CF_AutoRoot_Port_T700_BeansTown106.tar with Odin3 v1.85 .
- when rebooted the wifi forgets the password, (as long as you dont reboot the wifi is okay, and i can connect to other network and connect back to the original wifi.)
Do anybody knows how to fix this issue?

I think you have to change some sort of file to something to make it remeber it. I cant remeber what the fix was but it was somewhere in the cfautoroot fourm.

HI,
Consider also using Skyhigh Kernel, it fixes your issue.

My nonrooted Tab S forgets WiFi on reboot and when I switch WiFi off and then on.
I found that this probably is a KitKat bug (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2685519)
If you are rooted then this is what fixed it for me.

Unfortunately I have no root, so I flashed the newest firmware (T705XXU1ANH1 – XEH from France) and it fixed Wi-Fi
So, I using mine tab with and 6 on the latest image from Brazil.
It is rooted and with TWRP.
It doesn't save wifi networks. If I turn wifi on and of it looses everything.
Just to be clear, it had this problem before I installed TWRP. It took me quite some time to notice the problem so I don't know if it is related with the root method.
I even flashed a custom kernel, but still no luck.
Does any one know of a solution for this issue on Android 6? Stok?
Thanks

Hi guys. So about 1 week ago I finally let my s4 mini I9195 Do the update its been wantng to do for a while. Turns out when the update completed and the phone was turned back on again I couldnt connect to wifi, just press the toggle and it does nothing. So ive been lurking the web for solutions and done around these:
-Taking battery out various times and in diferent situations
-http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2364980 did that even though I have no idea what rooting is and such though Ive read about it 1000x , just dont get why you do that or why there are so many ways and such
- wiped cache/ returned to manufacturer settings also a few times
So, by this point I have really no idea how to fix this guys and its been a pain because I am in erasmus and could really use the wifi. I really apreciate your time for reading this thread and hope that you are able to help. Awaiting your sugestions
Thanks
What you're describing is a very typical issue: the firmware wasn't updated completely (e. g. modem not updated). Solution: flash the firmware again with Odin.

Hey man, thanks for the reply. Can you give me a little more info on how to do that procedure?
Search for Odin (v3.09 or so). Check your firmware version and download it at Sammobile.com.
And use the search for further information.

Hey man thanks again for the reply.
I was doing this http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-mini/help/to-stock-firmware-choosing-problem-t2968295 but near the end it fails for some reason... any idea why?
So I tried it again and this just happened.. Kies wont even recognize.

If you are already on Kitkat you need Kies 3.
Have you probably tried to flash an JB firmware?
Search at Sammobile for the latest firmware for your country and network provider and flash it with Odin.
Hi guys,
i have a similar problem. I flash many time a couple of ROM (CM11 - slimkat) but the wifi doesn't turn on and also the cellular network and the bluetooth don't work...
In the last days i had many problem with my phone because i make a mistake during the flash (on odin) of a stock rom.
Do you have any suggestion?
Thanks a lot
I had the same problem. Wi-Fi didn't work after uploading KK firmware for my country (while to my surprise KK firmware for Belgium worked ok). I tried 3 times to upload KK firmware (XEO, anr PLS) via Odin 3.09 with the same effect (no way to turn on Wi-Fi). Then I used Odin 3.06 and it worked for me (I was able to turn on Wi-Fi without any problem - strange but it had worked). So try to use older ver. of Odin first.
Having issues with my wife's tab S 8.4 (Wi-Fi only - tm-700 16gb). It will not turn on Wi-Fi at all suddenly - it just says "turning on Wi-Fi " indefinitely. Bone stock running lollipop. Never rooted. Any ideas?
All i can suggest is flashing the latest firmware

It's already on the latest and she did a factory reset - still not working. Unless I find a solution before I get home from work I'm gonna contact Samsung (it's less than a year old and I have the receipt to prove it).
Flashing the firmware is not the same as doing a factory reset.
Like I say I would download and flash the latest firmware regardless of whether you are already on that firmware or not.
Hello, I have been searching the internet for months trying to find a modem firmware file for this tablet. I was wondering if someone could please provide that for me so that I can flash it to this tablet and fix the Wi-Fi. When I try to turn on Wi-Fi on this tablet it gets stuck at "Turning on..." and there is nothing I can do from there in the graphical user interface. However when I run the command "adb logcat" in a terminal with this tablet connected, I am able to read the crash dump of the wpa_supplicant. It says that the radio is unknown and that it failed to initialize the driver interface. This tablet is not rooted and is not running any custom software or firmware. This problem stems from a failed software update. I have tried factory resetting the tablet via the settings app and by “Device initialisation” in the Smart Switch software. Just to be clear, all I need is the modem.bin file for the Samsung SM-T520 (Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1). If someone could provide that for me or tell me which firmware would contain the modem.bin file, that would be great! I have downloaded many firmware files for this tablet (I downloaded at least 20GB worth last night) and none of them contain a modem.bin file. Thank you in advance and have a great day!
Have you had any resolution to the issue?
I have been working on a separate thread for a T530NU that is having the same issues. In my case, I do not even have access to the UI through stock ROM's and have to rely on custom ROM's to see the wifi and BT issues as well as the logcat readout.
What OS are you running on the tab and did it go through a OTA update from KK to LP?

Choose your region (US is "Cellular South" for some reason)
I think they usually have the modem file included, not 100% sure but probably your best bet. It is supposed to be the entire stock firmware...
My neighbour has handed me her Samsung Galaxy Tab S model SM-T805 as she is unable to get the WiFi/Bluetooth enabled. It can be toggled to on but it remains grey. It appears to be up to date with Android 6.0.1
I have searched a lot for the solution and most suggestions have been to factory reset it. But after having done so, Samsung setup is still unable to enable WiFi. I went one step further by doing a factory reset/wipe data from Recovery but no dice.
What's the next step at this point?
edit: I also ran Device Initialization in Samsung's Smart Switch PC software to download and fully reset the tablet. Same issue still persists. Must be broken wifi hardware?

Downgrade the firmware first before condemning the hardware
Downgrade to lollipop.
It seems strange, but this can fix firmware errors causing these issues.
If it works after a downgrade it can then be updated as normal.

I'll just get a lollipop build from sammobile?
I don't know what Galaxy Tab S type it is to choose the correct firmware, there are many like SM-T805C, SM-T805K

I suggest updato.com.
If it's just the international T805 model then just download the one for that.
