Anyone know how to do this ?
My AV is hooked up to a monitoring system that has no sound other than warnings ..
I want to be able to switch between sounds from radio (or other audio sources) and AV in (since I only use the audio warnings when I'm racing on track)
Thanks

does anyone know of any models of car stereo that you can hook a g2 into and control the g2's music player (or that has a corresponding separate music playing app that is controllable at least). i'd like to be able to hook up my phone by usb and then use the deck controls (or even better the controls on my wheel) to skip forward / back / pause, etc.
i've been searching and everything says "ipod/iphone" compatible and nothing mentions android. at best they say that the music will play thru via usb, but not whether or not you'll actually be able to control the music too.
thanks for the info
Dave
The Desire Z works with all (the) cars (I have tried) that have Bluetooth. You have to switch to BT Audio not just BT Phone, but then the controls work just fine.
Pretty much ANY USB automotive HU will work fine. It does NOT play music through the USB as fruitjunk does though... you plug the phone in, enable MASS STORAGE MODE, and use the HU to browse/select/play the mp3 file. The audio decoding happens in the HU, not the phone. No need to do things the iDiot way.
Alternatively, you need a BT HU that supports AVRCP, then you can use the HU to control the phone's media application.
thanks
hey thanks to both of you. great info. just out of curiosity, do you guys actually use these features? and what head unit are you using?
thanks
I use a Sony bt3600u stereo that works fine with BT. Allows pausing/Playing, Skipping forwards & backwards of tracks on the stock music app.
Doesn't display track names etc (Just says 'BT Audio') but that doesn't bother me.
This is my stereo: Link
Hope that helps
So after some research I kay be looking for something called avrcp or i may be wrong. I can get all audio to play through my phone but id like to pause the file with my headset if this is possible. I have a plantronics voyager 910 and a Motorola H720.
I saw some stuff with people talking about other roms im on stock . Im just hoping I can do something like where the push to talk/accept call button would work to play/pause whatever media file I'm using and maybe the vol up/down buttons would make it skip forward or backward. tat would be pretty cool.
Thanks for the help
I don't this is supported by coreplayer. I'm using it fine on WMP.
Thank you,
So is there a way to get .avi's to play in WMP? What are you using to get this feature working a particular program, do I need a particular headset?
Here is what I am trying to do; the gym I go to has tv's all over the place, there is a little corner kind of subsided I want to hook my tilt2 up to the TV and start doing P90x on it. Just hooking up the video though, Ill keep the audio going through Bluetooth. I already tried this on my TV at home and the video worked and the audio kept going through Bluetooth.
i prefer Core player if its possible but if I can make WMA play .avi's then that will be fine as well.
Sorry WMP will not play AVI's. There's no progress on TCPMP using AVRCP on TP2 because it uses Widcomm stack (they've solved it for the TP).
A solution would be to convert your files to MP4 (use something like MP4HD) and then play on WMP.
Thanks, that is what I was considering doing was formatting them differently. but I still don't know what I would use to enable the pause/play stuff on the Bluetooth is this some special software I need or is it native to the program?
Hello,
I was still wondering if there is a particular program I need to get in order to use my BT headset to pause/Play and other functions or is this a native functionality. If so I am unable to figure out how to activate it.
Thank you!
AFAIK it's native. Mine works on WMP with no problems. And also on Sense/Manilla music tab. As you can see I'm using Jacko's ROM (broadcom stack I think). I'm using Motorola S9 headphones.
hi,
i own an audi car wich has a built in hands free bt system, that allow me to make and receive my call through the audio system.
Do you know if it s possible (if there is a trick) to also play music on my mobile and liesten to it on my audio sound system over bt connection?
thxx for helping
best regards
no clues anybody?
Your car audio system has to be capable of A2DP streaming. Check your owner's manual.
Yep check manual. My car (not audi) supports it and its accessed via the aux button which cycles through line in, usb and BT audio. If yours doesnt support it then you can get a Parrot system or similar installed. Mate just got one done and it works well as you probably dont want to rip out the built in audi system and put in a head unit with bluetooth streaming.
Thxxx, doesn t seems to work, i guess that s why they sell a specific module for plug ipod with optic fiber..... $$$$$
might have to get one one day...
hello xda.
I've got a problem with bluetooth audio sync. Sync's fine in videos (youtube etc.), but in games the sound is 0.5 - 1sec "late" (off sync). I've tried with ten different games (ie. gta:sa, fifa16) and three different bluetooth headsets/speakers, no luck..
My 1+3 is completely stock.
Anyone else having this bug?
ps. I love this phone.
pps. My first post in xda! (Been following for 6ish years though) Noob bashing time everyone
check that the spec of the BT devices you are using (ie, BT 4.0 / 3.1 are likely better at sync than 2.1)
My headphones are jabra rox, bt v4.0... U not having this issue?

Click to collapse
I don't play games, but i don't see this issue with youtube nor with my BT audio in my car or headphones
Ok thanks.
It kinda sucks playing any game with audio 1sec off (impossible for me). I just wanna know that this bug is not universal for oos322 before i try full wipe oslt
So anyone with bt headphones and (any?) game, please test and let me know
Btw with wired headphones sync is ok
Hi,
Iired of the lousy audio and hissing etc I have been playing with USB DAC but only works with a few special media players and no sound from BT and other apps etc (as well documented) so then need a way to mix DAC output with HU output for different applications
Then I found someone had put together a driver package that put all audio via ALSA to the the DAC on an oder version of Android on MTCB, any chance anyone understands this enough to make it work on Nougat and MTCD?
