Has anybody been able to fix the useless notifications on stock nougat, any workaround?
No workarounds or fixes as of now. We need to wait till the next update. I have tweeted Lenovo and they are looking into it.

Hi Folks
Have a vanilla HOX and the touchscreen becomes unresponsive while the phone is charging. Have done some googlising on this and it seems it was an issue that was supposed to have been fixed by update. Yet my phone still does this.
I can only remember having one OS update since I got the phone, though it didn't change this issue. I have checked for more updates and apparently I'm up to date, version number looks right too (1.29)
Is this a known issue? If it is is there a fix? might it be fixed in the rumored 2.x update whenever it finally lands?
Many Thanks
Hello all,
I am using the Chinese version - AL10. I'v eused the Huawei Firmware Finder to update to official Oreo for my variant. After the update I am using BND-AL10C00B352 (8.0.0.352) Firmware and I am experiencing strange problem.
The phone is acting very good overall and the battery life is also quite accurate. However, since I moved from Nougat to Oreo several times a day I am not receiving my notifications.
This is happening randomly no matter if I am on WiFi or 4G mobile data. Both mobile data and wifi are set to stay turned on and all applications that are supposed to run are marked to run in background and be killed. However, strange thing is I am not receiving the notifications when the screen is off. When I unlock the phone I immediately receive all notifications at once. This looks to me like notification or battery management problem.
My question is - have someone of you experienced such behavior and how to fix it? Or just wait for new update?
Is someone of you using official Oreo also as me and does he faces also another issues?
Since Nougat was pretty stable for me, I am thinking if I can "revert" or "rollback" to the stock Nougat or latest Nougat update - B192 for me as far as I remember?
is there a way this to be done easily?
Please, help!
Thanks!

I have also the same type of notification problem. I see it posted in several thread. Not found solution yet.
initially I set the application launch options to manual and allow to run in background and all I need. Actually I've never tested the Auto mode for this battery background management so now I've turned the auto mode for all applications and will monitor to see if there is a change in the behavior. Some guys in a russian forum told me that this is probably caused by the "deep sleep" in which the phone is going when not used for a long time. And sometimes even if wifi and mobile data are ON during sleep, the internet connectivity is still being interrupted and in the moment you unlock it, it comes back from deep sleep and you receive all notifications.
I agree this sounds reasonable, but I am trying to find a way to overcome this behavior because this is really annoying. If I am not able to fix it, I will be forced to go back to .192 7.0 firmware. I am now look for a way to easily do that in case I need to do it anyway.
P.S. - I am the original post creator, just was using my old account as I forgot my password for while
Hi, after the update to pie I am facing a weird issue. Fingerprint scanner sometimes doesn't respond to unlock the device. Does anyone has the same problem?
i too have noticed this from time to time
Same here. Appears to be an issue with sleep mode as sometimes I don't receive notifications for emails etc until I wake the phone. Hopefully a bug fix update is released soon!
Edit: Seems there's a 9.0.1 update, no mention of fingerprint scanner fix but hopefully it is!
You can find a solution in this thread:

Hello,
I am curious to know if anyone else has the issue with caller ID announcement.
when turned on, it reads our strange characters/symbols (seems like a part of the code or something).
It has been like this since day one I got the phone and I kept hoping with each update it'll get fixed. But after several updates still behaves the same way.
Anybody aware of this and whether there is a fix or an expected fix coming?
Thanks
Had the fold since the 22nd and really loving it. Few things bugging me. Anyone else experiencing UI Glitches from time to time? Examples are the app tray displaying blank which I had to restart the phone to resolve. Outlook app the mail box panel empty even after a closed the app fully was still blank. Scrolling through twitter and often the display flickers at the bottom? Any other users finding things like this? Hoping for a early update from Samsung to flush any ealry bugs
I am holding it since 23rd and it has absolutely been a godsent device
No issues. No hiccups. 256 gb version.
Maybe an update will resolve the issue for you.
Can't say that I'm experiencing these issues.
A hear most to a fresh install not using smart switch which I did. Maybe the time saving was not worth it? do you still use a backup or literally re install everything
I did use Smart Switch and no glitches. It works flawlessly for me.
There is a OneUI update in the Samsung store I noticed.

Checked the galaxy store just says installed no update
Haven't experienced the issues you've mentioned at all. I've had the ZF4 since Aug. 23.
Chrome beta has a glitch on the tabs, mentioned it right from the start. Sure its just teathing issues with the new chipset. USA have had a firmware (pre launch, not checked if its ahead or in line with European launch firmware) so sure something will be along soon, as the security updates are over a month old too.
