Did u get it by OTA or manuell update? If it's not signed by Huawei yet it can cause problems with Android Pay.

I updated through funky Huawei.
Did the same for 180 and that worked fine...

I think updating through FH is making your Android pay not working. The update is not signed ,maybe!!
I received the B185 update yesterday, I notice 2 things: the option Aggregate data has disappeared from the settings menu, and smart unlock when connected to a bluetooth device doesn't seem to work anymore
Sorry for reviving this thread, but check if Play Store is certified. Go to Play Store, hamburger menu, Settings, scroll down to bottom. I have had uncertified before and SafetyNet still passed. That's until I installed C432B193 for my Mate 9. It was uncertified and CTS Profile wouldn't pass. So I guess they started checking that too now.

the other thread is getting way too long and still no clear answer if anyone in the US is getting the OTA normally or through clearing services framework method. i believe some people were able to get it that way, but in UK
I'm on 4.0.04 takju and still haven't received the OTA update. My check now button is starting to wear out haha
On a side note, how does google determine who gets the update first?
got restless and just updated using toolkit 7.3 and booting to custom recovery. jelly bean is awesome.
does new OTA remove universal search?
Is the new OTA on verizon galaxy nexi the one that removes universal search?

Lol agreed. I'm wearing out the check button as well but I'm still seeing "Your system is currently up to date".
Sigh.

There's no OTA for the Verizon one, and we probably won't see it for a couple months.
And no, 4.1.1 doesn't remove universal search. Its probably going to be removed with updates to the Search app via the Play Store. It doesn't need an OS update.

The "check now" button isn't going to do anything if your IMEI hasn't been selected to take the OTA. They roll out in waves and it doesn't matter where you are or what your carrier is. Just wait for it and stop worrying, or flash it manually.
I'd like to have the flexibility of choice - I want to be able to prevent my carrier, US Cellular, or Samsung from disabling our crippling the Note should I choose not to return it.

Package disabler pro

And then what?
how do you know it's gonna work? I would think OS updates would have been taken care outside of standard packages.
You can go to settings and set to manual updates. It won't "disable but it won't update unless you tell it to

Well on my first note mine was set to manual and it pushed the update through regardless a few hours after the notification arrived. IMO anybody able to root has nothing to lose by rooting if they're intending to keep it at this point.
Package disabler. Disable System update SDM's. Don't touch anything to do with Knox though.
Disable these:
Security policy updates
Software update
System update 1
System update 2
I've had those frozen on both my original Note 7 and my replacement Note 7 and get no OTA's at all. Don't think they can push them to you with these disabled.
Just bought the Package Disable Pro+ Premium.
Strange.
Have disabled the "Security Policy updates" and "Software update", BUT my replaced Note7 does not have the 2 System Updates. processes.
Anyone knows what should I do?
Also I have the GearVR, and have not connected it to my handset after they push down the patch to disable the use with Note7.
Anyone knows which process to disable too, so that I can continue using the GearVR?
Pls help... Thanks!

I think you have to edit the build-prop (which means you need to be rooted) to get the Gear VR to work.
As far as the 2 system sdm updates - they are on both my Note 7's, but then I haven't ever taken an OTA or any update as I disabled all of that first thing I got the phones (one was my OG N7, the other the replacement N7). So I can't help you if you have already taken an update, but those system SDMs should be there unless they removed them in an update somehow, which I doubt.

Ya, after I received the replacement on 16/9/16 (Singapore), I received an OTA update within the next couple of days that give the green battery.
That is the only update I received.
If it helps, my version is 6.0.1,
Baseband: N960FXXU2BPI5
Build number: MMB29K.N930FXXU2BPI9
So strange...
Does that mean the only choice I have is to root the phone?
(I haven't rooted before)
What is the best "stock" rooted package now?
I'm fine with the default Samsung apps generally, and does not need to have much default functions disabled.

This is the first Android phone I have not rooted. Ever. So honestly, I cannot guide you on the root process, as I never did it on either of my Note 7's. I was eventually going to root, but then the recalls hit and I figured there was no point since I will be giving it up soon. But if you took the green battery update, my understanding is that you cannot root and cannot go back to the previous firmware. I do not know if the update you took got rid of the two system update SDM's, someone else will have to help you with that. I would bet that you can still prevent further OTA's with package disabler pro - however, I do not know that for sure. Hopefully others will see this thread and these posts and chime in with info that clears this up for you.
I rooted my replacement note 7 (with green battery update) a few days ago with no problem in anticipation of a crippling update pushed by Samsung: http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-7/development/recovery-official-twrp-galaxy-note-7-t3446047. But by doing so you trigger knox and lose access to secure folder and shealth. I solved the shealth problem by disabling encryption on my device with Hydra Kernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-7/development/kernel-hydrakernel-v1-1-t3452433 while keeping stock ROM. I am considering changing to HydraRom http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-7/development/rom-hydra-rom-v1-0-t3447611 just in case.
Hope this helped!
Considering the fact that the phone automatically runs an update at its first boot is there a way to easily shield the device from the mobile network (so that it won't update)?

OK then it needs a mobile data subscription?
I thought OTAs would be running 'for free' if they are from the same carrier you are connected to?

My replacement N7 DL'd the update first thing. I did remove the sim and also shut off WIFI, but it had already DL'd the update. But I did not let it install the update. I rebooted and skipped activating the phone. I didn't do any of the first boot setup stuff - skipped all of that, then went to the play store, logged in with my gmail and first thing I installed as package disabler pro. I immediately disabled all the System updates (4 packages). After that I quit getting the notice to install the already DL'd update. Once you disable the System update SDM's, you can't even get into the phone update OTA selection in settings, it kicks you right out. So even though it had DL'd the update, I was able to prevent it from installing.
I do think the phone is trying to look for an update constantly now though. When I look at my GSM battery monitor, system updates is right near the top of what android system is using all the time. I still have excellent battery life, but I think disabling OTA system updates will make the phone constantly try to look for updates that it simply can't run because the SDM's are disabled. I can live with that as gimping the phone with a crappy OTA that limits the battery or might add other possible things I didn't want was the main goal. Phone runs great and battery life is great. That's all I need.
I haven't use my p600 for a few weeks. It just told me to free up almost 400MB so an update can be installed.
Can anyone tell me what's in the update ?
Thanks,

Not sure of all in the update, just completed it. It does not move beyond 5.1.1. but has new security update.
New Knox and Samsung Voice icons on home screen. BE AWARE: the EULA for Knox says that it will lock down "container" if it detects root or custom rom!! You have to accept that to enable it.... hmmmm.
It changed my home screen, and came here to discover how to change that back. Done!
Hello guys. I've rooted my phone using King-Root, One Click method. Now, I need my phone to be unrooted, because I want to upgrade OS version through the official system upgrade option. Will flashing stock rom unroot my phone? Please guide me.

I'm getting a message that says 'Can't check for updates while in roaming network. Connect to wifi network.' As I can't connect to a wifi right now, am unable to capture the screenshot of the software update notification. My current OS version is 5.1.1 and I'm getting an update notification for OS v6.
Back to my topic, is there a way to unroot the phone? It would really help me.

Are you sure its v6? Do you have K420DS (Indian) version. You can remove root in the Kingoroot App or Root manager app. Check that once. A better thing would be if you take a screenshot we can confirm it with other users of K420DS.

It's a Software Update. I have unrooted my phone using SuperSU. Though I have confirmed the unroot using Root-Cheker, the second picture is of the error I got while installing the update -
What options do I have now?

Yes, it's not marshmallow!! Just a simple bug fix update. I rooted my phone in January, so I couldn't install this update. This update notification is long due for me (kinda forgot what it was exactly, hence the misunderstanding)
But still, my issue isn't solved. You got any clue why am I getting this error? Will re-rooting my phone properly and un-rooting again solve it?

Since your system is modified .i.e. you have "root" access, OTA updates don't work.
Hi everyone,
My Fold 3 started showing wierd sympotoms after Abdroid 12 update however I thought they might get fixed with the next upgrade. Last night I received Android 13 upgrade but to my surprise the issues with my phone stayed same.
My phone is official, no rooting or bootloader unlocking. Knox tripping is 0x0. The same result is shown by the Diagonostics in Members app.
My employer needs me to install work profile that this phone is not allowing and throwing an error saying I have a custom OS. I cannot boot into the bootloader from the recovery menu and getting a smart select error. Moreover I cannot login to Samsung Pay (stuck at fingerprint authrized) and Samsung Pass (Currently not available error: 162)
I have added all the possible screen shots for ready reference.
Can you please advise as what can I do to fix this annoyance! Many thanks in advance

If your phone is not modified in any way, then I would go straight to Samsung. Someone here might be able to help, but in cases like this, Sammy might be your best bet.
Its not modified however Samsung wants to change the mother board and charge big as its out if warranty.
Thats the reason I turned to the community as I have got many issues fixed from the wonderful people that Sammy wanted to charge otherwise.
Update your Google services. Says July, last is October!
