Android Wear 2 is finally rolling out! - Huawei Watch

Currently, the update is rolling out to devices that are running the Wear 2.0 preview,
if you’re on AW1.5 you can apparently trigger the update by repeatedly tapping the green check mark on the software update screen.Weird. Alternatively, the OTA link below:
https://android.googleapis.com/pack.../ee44a144cfa1319430608b5322b7d359c3e4bbf6.zip
Note, You’ll need a battery at 50% or more for the update to install and it’ll wipe your device in the process.

Sorry that is incorrect. I updated from AW DP5 and nothing was lost. Update confirmed the screens above,

Speedup more that DP5 ^^

Confirmed working! Don't know what took so long, hopefully there's no more connection issues.
It is a pain in the ass having to receive the update through the DP5 though.

Just updated from DP5 via OTA, but mine was wiped. (Don't matter, as it is easy enough to set up from scratch)

No any android +4.4 on your phone will do, currently you need "android wear 2 developer preview 5" on your watch to get the update but soon OTA will available for Android wear 1.5

And never will... NFC can't be implemented on this device. The chip might support it but without extra hardware and most of all an NFC antenna it can't work.

Oke Thanks guys, 1 post above mine someone said that nfc was working so i thought the rumors were true, so unfortunately not

the original Huawei Watch does include an NFC chip,it just isn’t active yet.

Google Now 10/29/2012 update
I was having trouble finding the stand-alone Google Search apk, so thought I'd post it here for anyone else.
I had a modded Google Now (Google Search, or QuickSearchBox.apk), and wasn't able to update from the play store.
Recommended Installation (if you fall into the category above)
• Back up your current version (Google Search) with TB
• Uninstall your current version
• Install this apk normally
*I used adb install, but should work just by running it.
• Enjoy all of the new features
Download
Google Search 2.1.12.516912
Note: This is an unmodded, Google apk. I'm just posting it (might mod at a later time).
Thanks to Rujelus22 for pulling this from his nexus 7 for me

Running on an LG P500 is a ARMv6 device. Runs fine as long as I do not touch its mic icon. When it tells me there is an update, I of course cannot get it because it is technically not compatible with this handset. I can only side-load it.
So could you post the latest and greatest apk (probably Dec 10)?
Also, what might it take to either:
Get rid of its mic icon since it crashes it. Using another widget with its own icon!
Or ... get it to connect to the older online voice which will work just fine.
Thanks!

I'd love to see what changed compared with MWD49B
By the way, does anybody have the OTA URL for M1D63G ? I posted a heads-up message in this discussion thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/sma...arshmallow-mec24h-t3382450/page7#post67924016
...to let the ROM builder (alex6600) know about the OTA update.
Cheers, Dan
I'm hoping that the battery drain problem is solved in this update. Anyone noticed any improvements so far?
Can anybody post update.zip?
M1D63G seems to be a small update (8,090KB).
Here is a download link for the OTA update.zip extracted from my /cache partition:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/1uqdcqv4p6ri52p/M1D63G_update_FROM_OTA_CACHE.zip?dl=0
UPDATE:
official OTA link: https://android.googleapis.com/pack.../283116eb9d1601add291ffd9c7bc922fad4b7f93.zip
This are what I noticed:
1. Automatic Wi-Fi can now be turned off
2. Magnification Gestures under Accessibility ( not sure if this is new) - Triple tap to zoom
Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
AFAIK, both of those options were already available on previous software.
I got this OTA update right before going to bed so I installed it and let it be for the night.
First thing i noticed in the morning was that the battery dropped only by 1% when disconnected, for me it's a major improvement cause previously it would sometimes drain 20% battery in airplane mode during the night.
It's smooth, maybe slightly smoother than it was before. I'll check GPS later to see if they improved fix times and accuracy.

M2 10 Official Android 6.0 Update will come!

Yesterday I wrote to Huawei:
Subject: Mediapad m2 10 premium
Hello, when comes the update to Android 6?
Thanks for answer,

Today i got the answer from Huawei support:
Dear Michal,
sorry, but we do not know the exact date when the update will be released. Right now we are testing it. Stay tuned.
Kind regards.

Thats excellent.
I felt cheated after I looked into the M2 10 AFTER I brought it and saw no update to 6.0 or above.
For a new device to be so far behind its a really piss-poor show from Huawei.
I got it to replace my aging Nexus 10 16gb (which still works great & runs 6.0) but wanted better sound & expandable memory.
I even contemplated trying to go back to my retailer for a refund (but you can guess how that would have panned out)
just hope we get some news soon. i´ve read emui 5.0 is coming so lets dream we will see it for m2 mediapad
What's going on? The M2 8.0 have got the update and dem M2 10 not... why?
From what I have experienced in a number of tablets, Android 6 will drop your tablet's speed by 30-50%, it's THAT bloated.
And, visually/in usage, it's dumbed down, simplistic but with annoying little bits - like the notification panel thingy, dumb as dumb, that is!
I had a reasonably decent modern tablet with Andy 6 that was appreciably slower than my 6 years old Andy 3.1 Tegra 1 tablet.
I just received an update announcement for my M2 10.0 to OTA-M2-A01WV100R001C100B006_B007
Don't know if this is 6.x or whatever, but I won't update unless my root.
It's a shame how Huawei handles their software... The M2 10.0 is a really good piece of hardware but I won't buy a Huawei again because of their totally over-bloated ROM and the very very bad update plan. (1 Update in about a year)

The size of the update is 172 MB, this is too small for an android upgrade. This must be a security patch and hopefully a first step before the android 6 deployment
It's still android 5.1.1... it's a shame
Received this update today, size is 400mb but it might be bacause i have kingroot. Im unable to upgrade via ota (fails) also im unable to remove alwaya so annoying kingroot from tablet.
Also i dont find firmware nowhere to be downloaded, so i could upgrade from sd card

Finally i was able to uninstall kingroot and update tablet as OTA.
Hopefully this update is prepairing us to Marshmallow
No, this is some months old patch from b006 to b007. I have it a long time already.
Huawei is following release and forget strategy? Or do they just their fingers in too many soup at the same time.
Just got a OTA notification for update to B009 for A01L (M2 10.1 with LTE). I bought a tablet from DE seller.
Now I just have to find a link for FW to download to SDcard or somehow learn how to dance around my root. Fun times #not

Looks like the update will come soon. Here´s the translation:
Huawei Japan Co., Ltd. (hereafter, Huawei Japan) will update software of SIM lock free tablet "HUAWEI MediaPad M2 8.0 LTE model" which is currently on sale.
By updating to Android TM 6.0 and EMUI 4.0 of OS, it is possible to further improve convenience and operability of customers currently in use and to use them more comfortably.
The software update will start sequentially starting from December 2 (Friday). An update notification will be sent to your tablet. All customers will be able to update it in about a month.

It is not booting for now (bootloop), wait for the next updates. Maybe the global release in some days will change the game.
Edit: Here is link for TWRP, it works, but is in chinese (you can change language to english). For me it also looks like there is some kind of problem with encryption, after format data there should be no problem.
