Hi everyone,
I was wondering how I can change my camera to store pictures in device, rather than SD card. Unfortunately my SD card module is defective and I cannot use SD cards anymore. When I open can it says can't access SD card and there is no option to change storage location.
I really like this camera app compared to third party apps, so is there anything I can do to make it store pictures in the device storage?
Thanks a lot!

Go into your Device Settings --> Apps and select the camera app.
Then select the Force Stop button (select OK in the confirmation popup dialog).
Then select the Storage option (typically located just under the Disable button) and then select the Clear Data button (select OK again in the confirmation popup dialog).
Restart the device and open the Camera app. It should now either default to the Internal storage (/storage/emulated/0/DCIM/Camera) or ask you to choose where to save the Images "Internal" or "External".
You should now be all set.
Good Luck!

Worked like a charm! The funny thing is that I already cleared the data, but I didn't restart the phone...
Thanks a lot!
Also, any luck that Camera app will allow 4k video recording? Its a pity, since the phone supports that. And videos in 4k do look better than 1080p...

The thing to remember is that when you clean up the data on most apps, force stopping them first can prevent the app from undoing certain changes because it's still running in the background. Then rebooting the device afterwards just gets the process going again.

There's many capabilities that a device has that isn't taken advantage of within a stock app.
If there's certain capabilities that a device has, and the stock app doesn't take advantage of it, then locating an alternate app with those capabilities is the best avenue to take.

Yes, but why not take advantage of the high quality video recording capabilities? There are plenty third party camera apps that allow 4k recording but they are slow and laggy. I like the CM camera app for being super fast!

I understand you but, here's 2 things to keep in mind...
1) The reason that It's faster is because it's located within the System of the device. This allows the app a bit more resources to operate.
2) The reason regarding certain stock apps not utilizing a devices capabilities is simple... One app for many devices. Though, certain apps require a customization to a specific device or category of devices, there are many of them that are the same for most/all devices. So those capabilities are limited to the devices that can't do as much as other devices. It would take forever for every single app to be customized for each device.
I hope i explained it okay LOL!

Totally makes sense, thanks!
The process didn't works for me...
1) Stop application camera and clear data (as explained in this topic)
2) copy pictures (DCIM/Camera) to SDCard
3) remove DCIM from local storage
4) restart phone
5) start camera app : ask for position access and files access... and still store on local storage

Depends on camera app. If you see "snap" in app info, you have an option to select the storage. With "camera2" not.
Same Problem, why this step to make Lineage uncomfortable? deactivating of sound when making a picture is not possible anymore and path issues. there are other several options that makes me to keep lineage 15.1. i hope the official 16 version keep the possibilities.

does anyone know where and to which file the Samsung task app (to-do app)
saves data (my tasks or to-dos) cos there isn't a widget for it and without one the app is pretty much useless. if i know where the file is i can create my own widget for it.
much appreciated
I just use "ColorNote". It's basically the same thing except it's got a decent widget, and more features. Makes a good shopping-list program.

And it's free!
Best guess is that the Samsung "Tasks" app stores its data in one of the native system databases. It supports external syncing, but to what, I've no idea.
I would like that too
It would be very helpful.

Thanks fot the link. Great app
If you're like me, you regularly forget your data cable at home, in hotels or at the 24-hour Pokemon Trading Card Repository. In such cases, 2011's New App of the Year, AirDroid, is a lifesaver. It's an incredibly comprehensive remote management app that lets you access your Android device via a desktop web browser, complete with file management, app installations, photo browser, and lots more. The creators are ready to step up their game with the second version of AirDroid, and have set up an invite-only beta.
The only feature confirmed by the AirDroid team is the ability to create an account and log into remote management from anywhere, which presumably includes mobile networks. This would mirror various PC remote access services, with the notable exception of actual screen control. Given the amount of polish that the original AirDroid already shows, I'm sure there will be plenty more crammed in as well.
Invites should be going out soon, so sign up if you want to get in. The beta will be three months long, give or take, after which everyone else should be able to join in the party. And if you haven't checked out the original yet, what are you waiting for

The great thing about AirDroid is that it works - it's easy to start up, and functions flawlessly (in my experience). The interface is also very polished - mimicking a desktop launcher complete with moveable icons, a task bar, and controls that allow you to do just about anything.
One of the most impressive features is the ability to access SMS messages, manage them, and send messages right from a web browser. Users can also manage contacts, uninstall/backup apps (AirDroid will download your apps as apk files), browse files, access the Android Market, and manage music and ringtones, in addition to the ability to look at phone information from CPU status to battery level and beyond.
Best of all, AirDroid is completely free from the Android Market. With all the powerful features it offers, this app is certainly worth checking out.

i am using airdroid a lot at home, because it is working very good and very fast and the UI is very good, but the only problem in my opinion is that you need to connect to a shared wifi net....is there any program witch uses the WIFI direct function of the samsung galaxy s2 or that i can log in into a adhoc network?

I have a couple Email Digital Certificates (.p12) that I use to sign and encrypt emails from my desktop. I would like to start using them on my phone, but cannot seem to find any options in the native HTC Email app. I got them installed in the security settings on the phone, but just cannot find an option to use them in my emails. I have also tried using K-9, but cannot find an option within that app either.
So, is there any way to digitally sign and/or encrypt emails within the native email app?
If not, are there any reputable, trustworthy 3rd party apps in the app store that have this capability?
Oh and not sure if it actually matters, but I have the VZW variant One M8....
Thanks in advance,
Kratos

I think I finally figured this out. Android (for some very strange reason) doesn't actually support digital signatures or encryption with email natively. Therefore, one MUST use a third party app to process encrypted or digitally signed emails.
I have checked out R2Mail2 as a possible solution and am thus far liking it. There were a couple other options (but only a couple I could find) and they either had very low reviews or were requesting permissions that just didn't make sense. In fact one of them actually tried to explain why they needed permissions to view call logs, but weren't convincing enough for me so I skipped over it.
I also have a Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 and it supposedly supports certificates natively (something Samsung added themselves), but I guess it doesn't support S/MIME with the .p12 extension as it continues to tell me that there are no files found on my device.
If anyone has any other solutions that are better than having to use (and pay for) a 3rd party app, please do tell.
Thanks Kratos

No one has any ideas about native S/MIME support?
Kratos
I've been looking into this for a while... and I think you already found the best solution. R2Mail2 handles both S/MIME and PGP. I haven't seen any other good options for S/MIME. K9 + APG can give you PGP. There used to be a simple native mail app that would do PGP, but it looks like thats been pulled by Google.
Hi all,
I've got a HTC One M9 and have updated to Android 6.0, when using the app Bet365 I'm unable to take any screenshots, I get the following error below.
'Couldn't capture screenshot. Can't take screenshot due to limited storage space, or it isn't allowed by the app or your organization.'
Any ideas people? Thanks
Did you check if you granted the App all rights to write to your SD Card. Remember that Android M comes with an advanced rights management for installed Apps, as previously only known from custom ROMs.
Send by the swarm intelligence of my coffee machine ?.

I've gone into Settings, Apps, Bet365, Permissions, and everything is ticked (Contacts, Location, Microphone, Phone, Storage). I don't have an SD Card in my phone.
Just tried to deny Storage, then allow, closed Bet365 and re-opened unfortunately the same thing is happening.

Probably the app itself is forbidding you from making a screenshot. I have the same thing with my mobile banking app. for that app there is also no preview in the "recent apps" screen.
App developers can do that if the content of the app is sensitive somehow.
Hi,
Is it possible to modify the stock LG G4 camera app to save photos in a custom folder location? I've tried using different camera apps which do allow custom folders but the quality of photo in those apps is not as good as the stock app.
Can anyone help with this? I need this for a work application.
Kind regards,
Steve.

Tx for this but I need to change the folder location while I'm on a client site (different folders for different clients). Usually it wouldn't be an issue but I'm taking over 1,000 photo's split over multiple clients and it's taking far too much time back in the office to sort through them all manually.
If I can change the save photo location to a new folder for each client on site I save TONS of time.
Are there people who would do this as a service? Do you know how I would contact them?
Some camera apps allow save location to be set. Install a couple and check.
Just change save location before each client visit
Automation tools eg 'tasker' are available on the play store but have some initial learning curve.

Thanks for replying.
I have tried several camera apps which do allow photos to be saved in other folders but the quality of the photos is not as good as the stock app. This is why I'm trying to see if the stock app can be modified so that I can choose the folders to save into.
