Hi guys! i have bought a used att samsung galaxy sm-n910a...i am from Europe (Romania).the phone is unlocked on my carrier but after 2 day's of use of the phone i can't make any calls and it won't connect to the network.
So i looked up on xda forums how to repair the problem but sadly i have found other problems:
-When i enter in recovery menu i get the error "E:failed to mount/efs (invalid argument) dm-verity verifcation failed...
-The IMEI on the back of the phone doesn't correspond with the IMEI when i dial *#06#.
-When i dial *#06# the serial number shows that's none
I have instaled different versions of android but with no succes on repairing the phone.
I have tried to connect with Smart Switch Firmware Upgrade and Initialisaton but i get the error " SM-N910A doesn't support software upgrade.
Could you help me with my problems ,i realy like the phone and it was quite expensive to buy.
I have read many threads on xda to fix the problem with no succes
Thank you for your help , i am new here on xda but i am proud to take part on such a great community

Hello to everybody,
First of all sorry for my english.
So about what is the tread
There is arround 10 bricked phones in Bulgarian Android Forum.Becouse we cant find where is the problem I decide to ask here.
Problem: After flashing stock test 4.3 and downgrade after back to 4.1.2 the result is --IMEI 0049 and Permanent Test Mode.
what we know until now:
Phones bought from shops for phones reported they downgrade back without issues
Phones bought from mobile operators -bricked IMEI
Flashing again 4.3 after brick do not restore IMEI
P.s
Sorry if the tread is on wrong place and 10x for your opinions about problem

Impact on device/How I know I have corrupted EFS
When there is EFS partition is corrupted, device loses IMEI and due to this device can't gets connected to network. Baseband info also sometimes shows unknown.
-Check your IMEI in setting / by dialling *#06# if it is null OR if it starts with 0049** then IMEI is generic and corrupted. In Normal case IMEI which you can see in device setting or dialing *#06# is exactly same you can see on bill/box/sticker under battery compartment
-If you are unable to connect to network in spite of correct IMEI, chance are
A. Your device is Locked to specific Network OR
B. Your device is banned due to tempered IMEI
-If your AP,CP,CSC all are correct and even you are getting error (unknown CSC XXX) on kies update, it may be due to corrupt Product code in EFS. Read This for detail.

N7100 4.3 imei repair using z3x

finally found a fix for imei repair for note 2 gt-n7100 and thought id share hopefully it helps someone out
first a bit of background about phone and error
- Phone is a n7100 international version i'm guessing its originally from el salvador since thats were i'm located and a customer brought in phone. The customer stated someone attempted to unlock the phone and damaged imei and had left the phone stuck in a boot loop.
- Going through recovery and factory reseting would not work.
- Unable to find original firmware for any carrier from here i used mexico telcel 4.3 official to flash to stock usin odin v3.09
- The flash worked perfectly and wifi blue tooth and just about everything worked perfectly except imei showed 004999010640000
- i attempted to unlock phone with z3x since it has autoroot for this model but no luck i kept getting error coode 0001
- Various places i read online mentioned that to root n7100 on 4.3 phone had to be factory unlock so i searched and searched and found root files for n7100 that made no mention of phone being unlocked, i did this with odin 1.85 verison and proper root file
- i successfully rooted phone
- after i unlocked using z3x v16.8 tool
- after unlocking phone i attempted to repair imei with z3x but was unable to for some reason i had to re-root phone with odin 1.85
- after resinstalling root i did imei repair with z3x box and results were positive. the imei was repaired and im able to make and receive calls aswell as use data plan, here is the proof with pictures

i'm assuming that because at the time of reading the phone info the imei and possibly other folders were damaged, Once processed finished i didn't bother to re read info with box because the process work. also it was a customer phone so i no longer have access to it.
for people interested in purchasing z3x samsung box, theres plenty of links on ebay and various sites.
For repair shops hobbist it works great and well worth investment. my z3x box has easily paid for itself 20x over.
Problems installing DM+MODEM+ADB drivers
Model GT-N7100
rooted with CF-Auto-Root-t03g-t03gxx-gtn7100.tar.md5
hello just a few question since I'm having a few problems fixing the IMEI with two Boxes with Z3X and NS Pro both of the boxes don't detect the phone
phone has been rooted successfully, phone is on 4.3, I got Kies installed in my computer drivers to read my SD card installed successfully (MTP+ADB) but when I chose DM+MODEM+ADB and connect the phone to the computer the drivers don't install it just keeps telling me USB Device not recognize I tried it with 3 laptops with the same results the 3rd computer never even had the Box installed all computer give me same error under usb controller I got unknown device I already uninstall and install from there too and no luck
and this is where my problems lies no DM+MODEM+ADB drivers no device detected by boxes any one ever had this problem before and know how to fix it any ideas?
try flashing the phone with a different 4.3 firmware and root using vroot
also theres no need to put phone in dm modem adb, i just enabled usb debugging and unknown sources
possible you havent installed the z3x box right it took me a few tires to be able to read phones by chance have you tried reading other models???

Need Help with EMEI restoration.
Hi Renovo,
I had a tough time trying to fix my Note2 which died on me yesterday. It was giving me the "EFS mount" error.
I spent the whole day flashing custom as well as stock ROMS and and finally found that I can flash the EFS repair file(n7100_odin_efs.tar) with odin. But this has now created the EMEI problem you mentioned below. I am trying to fix that but not sure how to do it.
Would you be kind enough to walk me through step by step??
Also do I need any special hardware for this??
My GTN7100 was bought in India.
I had flashed the UK version of the stock ROm on it.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks
Sandesh

[Q] Not registered to network even though IMEI and Serial no. are intact

Hello all
I am facing a rather strange issue here with my Galaxy Note 3 Neo SM-N7505.
I had updated it to latest stock ROM from sammobile and flashed it via ODIN but the phone does not seem to connect to network.
When ever i try to make a call it says not registered to network.
It shows which network I am connected to but does not make a call or send a message.
The EFS is not corrupt because the IMEI and Serial number are the same and have not been changed.
The phone does not have any warranty so i cannot take it to Samsung.
Any help would be appreciated.
Have you tried changing the sim card? It might help.
Sent from my SM-N750 using XDA Free mobile app
yes i have tried swapping the sim card but it does not seem to work.

[Q] How can I fix unknown IMEI on SGH-I467?

Hi to every one,
I buy a samsung galaxy note 8.0 sgh-i467 but when I verify in about tablet I see "IMEI unknown , IMEISV unknown and BaseBand unknown" and Kies doesn't recognize my device.
I'd like to know if I can fix that and if I can unlock it for using it in my country Haiti?
Thank you very much for your help.
Sincerely, Ross
I have been trying to find out the same thing for about 6 months now man and so far i havent got anywhere with it yet so if you or anyone else find out please let me know and god luck! Im still working on getting it to update and i think thats my problem is i have no IMEI! I did it somehow in Service Mode Options!

[Q] Not registered on Network

Sorry if it's old problem, I really searched, but couldn't find any answer.
There is "Not registered on network" error on my N7100 (4.4.2) unlock, not rooted (every thing used to be fine).
I realized IMEI is not match (......40000/01) is not match with the original written on phone.
Can any one help me how I should fix it?
I tried enter Service Mode using *#*#197328640#*#*, but it's not working.
Should I root it?
Thank you
