My apologies...I use Tapatalk. Go to the Tab3 Android Development section for ROMs, kernels, and recoveries.

hi xda members,
i installed the cyanogen mod following all instructions on my gio gt s5660v (australian model) and wifi connectivity does not work.
i have tested with all open/secure networks, rebooted, cleared all with CWM, etc.
wifi shows as connected but no data can be downloaded
what would you suggest as the best recovery option ?

You could try flashing another custom rom..you can find GioPro 1.4 in development section..it's a very good rom
I posted what I'm about to post in the Q&A section already but I have yet to have a reply. I figured, why not try it here. Anyways, here goes.
Hello XDA community, my brother has been having wi-fi and bluetooth issues on his T-MO Note II ever since applying the 4.3 OTA. When I try to enable Wi-fi, it will slide to the on position greyed out, stay there a second, and automatically turn itself off. Before I go on, the first thing I did was use CF-auto root and flash both agni pure stock and devil kernel and neither of them have worked. In addition, I have used dr.ketans patch as well as flashing some AOSP based ROMs such as AOKP and SlimKat and neither of them have yielded any results. I have tried almost everything I can find via XDA and I am truly stumped.
Do you guys have any solutions to the wifi issues? Any help would be greatly appreciated! :good:

Interesting. Very weird it works on stock but not on aosp. Now that you have odined back to stock have you tried to re flash a aosp rom and check the camera? What stock rom are you odin-ing?
Are you also flashing any other mods or custom kernels?
I would try cm11 with just gapps installed and see what happens.
I doubt it's a hardware issue if it works on stock. Do you use any third party camera apps?
Sorry for lots of questions just trying to narrow down the problem.

well there's the TowelRoot option that would require you to download SuperSU and BusyBox from the playstore then there's using Odin to flash any Custom Recover for the D2lte then in that recovery flashing Chainfire's SuperSU zip....then the most recommended is using Odin to flash the latest Philz Recovery for the D2lte which has an option to root the current rom that your on, under Philz settings

well it's a touch based Clockwork mod recovery and you can change the colors of all the letters that are visible and there's more options in there to do cool stuff and 2 different factory resets

yes an all matches up. Im starting to think its my device. i was sent a refurb from sprint an im wondering if the previous owner messed with it...
so i gave wicked x a shot an its way kool and the camera works. still clueless as to why aosp roms camera wont work. Let the fun begin lol. thanks for the help guys i appreciate it
I got the same problem with my GS3. Tried several different roms and different builds of those roms that people reported having no problems with and still no fix.
Going to try Wicked X see what happens.
Ive been flashin roms for about 4years. I love aosp but then i had to try wicked X. Its absolutley amazeing. Ive had no reboots, no freezin, awesome battery life, and best of all... EVERY feature on the rom an of the phone works flawless!!! Try it ull be amazed lol
camera works fine on Wicked x. Don't like the rom though. So I'm switching back to 2.37 LS it worked fine on my previous device
I used LS 3.2 on my previous phone, galaxy nexus 4. For some reason i cant get the camera to work on my s3 on LS

Same here, I never ran stock rom on the phone. First thing I did was to root and flash the room.
I'm so use to LS since I ran it pretty much entire time for past 2 years. Very disappointed with camera issues in v3.0. Hope they get it taken care of soon.
I guess sometimes you just gotta live and learn. I first installed AOKP running android 4.4.2 on my Tmobile S3 SGH-T999(Non lte) about a month ago. The performance was fairly good and battery life seemed average, but it didn't have a custom kernel for overclocking/underclocking. I decided to use TWRP and flash Cyanogenmod 10.2.1 running android 4.3 so i can tweak the cpu settings and see if i get improved battery. I tried to do a factory reset but instead i formatted the sd card, losing all the content inside of it. The biggest issue i have though is that TWRP says i have no OS installed. I was wondering if i could use odin to flash the stock rom and get my phone up and running again. I already attempted to flash Cyanogenmod and AOKP but i kept getting an error. I found this article about how to use odin to flash the stock firmware on my s3: http://www.technobezz.com/flash-stock-rom-via-odin-samsung-galaxy-s3/. I was wondering if this method would work? if not what are my options? I will appreciate any help.
Odin should work. Everything you need is in my firmware thread stickied in development.

Thanks for the firmware download the other download was taking me hours. I just need to update my drivers and i should be all set
Everytime i try to update drivers it tells me "Windows could not find driver software for your device." I got it directly off of Samsung's official website so im not sure what's wrong?
FIXED!
I solved the problem by going into download mode then plugging into the computer. Thanks for the help man! I used this method if anyone happens to have this problem: http://androidxda.com/flash-samsung-stock-rom-using-odin
Glad to hear you got it fixed! For future reference btw, if anyone ever has trouble with the drivers I have a number of different versions linked in my signature.
And thanks for updating with your solution!

Hi, like the title says, is it possible to flash back to stock without a PC/Odin using something like Flashfire?
I currently have TWRP and AICP installed if that helps
Thanks

Flashfire should work(flashing stock rom is what it does). Just spend the time to read before you use it to avoid any problems...
I'm a little confused here, can I downgrade back to stock 4.4.4 from aicp 6.0.1im reading places that its not possible.
Need some clarity here
Thanks

I'm not sure which device you have, but I have i9195 and the latest stock rom is 4.4.2
And yes, you can downgrade to 4.4.2 using odin and the stock.tar.md5 file from any custom rom including 6.0 or even 7.1. I'm assuming you can use Flashfire to achieve the same thing as it is supposed to work the same way for those without a pc. I've always used odin though.
I have the i9195 too , and yes don't have access to use Odin, so I was wondering is it safe to do this with flashfire? Will it remove recovery also?
I won't be able to debrick if something goes wrong so need to get it right first time.
Oh and I didn't know 4.4.2 is latest, what's the best place to download it?

Well, flashfire is developed by the very well respected Senior Recognized Developer - Chainfire, so it is safe, but as I said, do your homework before using it. Flashing stock rom will replace any custom recovery with the stock recovery.
You can download the stock rom from a number of sites. I normally use sammobile.com or samsung-updates.com, but there are others. Just google it.....
