Hi,
I have an HTC One M8 Verizon and here's the specification below:
*** UNLOCKED ***
M8_WLV PVT SHIP S-OFF
CID - SuperCID
MID - 0P6B11000
HBOOT - 3.19.0.0000
RADIO - 1.14.20.0930
When I first got this phone, my sim card wasn't working and I did everything to make it work but unfortunately, it couldn't and I couldn't even open the phone information from *#*#4636#*#* to change network type and radio band. I also updated the firmware to 6.0 and bought Sunshine for bootloader unlocking and S-Off and still, it didn't worked out. So after I rooted my phone, SuperCID-ed, changed my MID and flashed TWRP, I decided to flash S-Team M8 SL-Version and made an access to *#*#4636#*#* but still the same.
After a long days of using my M8 in Wifi-mode, I decided to give a nougat rom a try. I first flashed the Resurrection Remix rom it went successful and something went beyond my expectation. I went to the phone information and changed the network type and radio band, surprisingly, my M8 detected my sim card and I could use it on LTE mode without a hitch until two nights ago when I left my phone for a few minutes and when I went back, my M8 shows that I don't have a sim card. For a whole night, I tried to fix my M8 and as a result, no miracles happened until now.
Here's what I did to fix my M8 but no success:
1) Clean flashed the rom but no sim card detection with sim card
2) Changed the rom to LineageOS 14.1 and clean flashed but no sim card detection with sim card
3) I removed the sim card from my M8 and changed back to RR
Here's what I observed, every time I am going to click the cellular networks setting, this dialog appears "com.android.phone has stopped".
So I decided to flash LineageOS 14.1 again without sim card and went to cellular networks setting, it still shows FC dialog.
And I flashed LineageOS 14.1 again but with sim card and went back to celllular networks setting and it's still the same.
Now, I went back to RR with sim card on and it's still the same.
What should I do next? I am running out of option but I can provide logs if you need it.
I also used thread search engine to help me but it didn't.
Thanks for the understanding.

Hi there,
I'm just after a method for unlocking my HTC Desire GSM without flashing back to a stock ROM.
I'm currently on Vodafone UK and I'd like to use an Orange sim.
My phone is rooted, s-off and running Cyanogen 7.1
I've tried using HTC_Desire_unlock_v0.9.5, which downloaded from somewhere on this site.
But the phone remains emergency calls only with the Orange sim (& a US T-moble sim)
I've got USB debugging on, and I've run the unlock programme from my PC, everything seems to work - the phone reboots in HBOOT and I get the success message in the PC window. I've tried with my Vodafone sim and the Orange one.
I have noticed an error message with both sims on the unlock programme window - Vodafone = returned error 95 and Orange = returned error 31
Thanks for your help
Have you tried mentioning this in the sim unlock utility thread? It's the only utility there is
Sent from my HTC Desire using xda premium
restart in flymode
offen this doesnt work reflash. ( do nandbackup) first
Thanks, after much reading of the unlocking thread and installing ADB drivers, restarting lots of times. I'm still not too sure if I've unlocked my phone, as I've realised the Orange sim I was trying has expired - doh.
I've ordered a new one so when that arrives I should be able to determine if I've unlocked it.
Here's the story
A month ago i rooted my phone with revolutionary, installed cyanogenmod 7, everything worked i was on "VipNet" teleprovider (CROATIA)
then i lost my card, and i put a now one in, this time it was a "Tele2" card,
i thought that a month ago when getting the s-off i also simunlocked the phone, but obviously i was wrong... it now asks me for SIM UNLOCK CODE, when i press dismiss it shows no network connection, can it be a radio problem?
i also tried installing a new radio but CWmod recovery 4.x.x.... (revolutionary)...
says aborted installation whenever i try to install a new radio...
hopeless.
Thanks in advance
It doesn't sim unlock your phone, just put your normal sim back in.

Cwm 4.xxx wont flash radio's you have to use temp 2.5 cwm to flash the radio image. As mentioned above you have not sim unlocked just use your original sim because flashing radio is not the solution here.

i picked meself up a used,s-off HOX. popped in my cut down t mobile sim,and edge was working fine. the phone was running 1.28 hboot and a JB custom rom(OrDroidX?).
for S&Gs i flashed the european 2.17.401.2 RUU. voila,no data,no APNs,no sim card found, yet voice and text worked fine. as with the other instances i found, saving the APN it just disapears.
all point to "use an older sim card" wich i am.
restored hboot 1.28 and the rom it was running, and edge is back again.
anyone have any thots on this?
guess ill need to flash some roms and run some different RUUs to try and figure it out
Hello.
Im trying to SIM Unlock a friends One M8. I've done everything i believe i need to be able to sim unlock it using this guide:
http://www.sieempi.eu/blog/2011/09/22/universal-sim-unlock-for-s-offed-htc-devices-536
And this one
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2708567
I've gotten S-off, super cid, and installed a recovery. But when following the guide in the first link and tapping Sim-lock in the hboot menu i get the messages as you can see in the screenshot ( where you can also see im s-off and with super cid), pressing Vol up seems to do something and reboot the phone, but the device still seems sim locked, as it is showing a "Limited service" when other branded sim cards have been inserted.
Can some of you guys help me out, from what i might have missed ?
EDIT: I figured out that if i downgraded my HBOOT to 3.16 it seems that the sim unlock is partially removed. I now get signal, and data working, but when trying to make any calls i get a "OUT OF SERVICE AREA" message.
Still struggling with this. I've heard that its dependent on my H-boot version, but i'm not sure if mine is the right version or not
OUT OF SERVICE AREA message when trying to call
Hello
Im having some trouble with a mates M8. When he tries to make any calls, he gets a OUT OF SERVICE AREA message and the call is disconnected. If i try to call him, it reaches voicemail. Data on his phone is working fine, and he has strong signal.
Reboot has been tried as well as a factory reset. He is running on stock rom, but the device has S-OFF, and unlocked boot loader.
Can you help us ?

Try downgrading all the firmware files (not just hboot) and even an old ROM; as the radio in particular may be hindering the SIM unlock.
But also be aware that playing with hboot and radio is slightly risky. One of the few ways to really brick the phone.

I have installed a bundle through hboot with a 0P6BIMG.zip file.. This seems to have downgraded everything to the oldest firmware. It is running 1.54 now with Android 4.4.2 and a baseband version of 1.16. Still no luck

Ahh, too bad. I know HTC has made multiple changes over time (including hardware changes) to plug the firewater s-off exploit. Maybe they made some hardware change to plug the SIM unlock method as well?
Good evening all,
I am very new to all of this so please be bear with me. I have searched through the forum extensively but haven't been able to find a solution to my problem.
I have an HTC One X (Endeavoru / Tegra 3) which is currently network locked to T-Mobile UK.
I have followed various guides on XDA carefully and successfully unlocked the bootloader using HTCDev code & adb/fastboot, rooted my phone and installed Cyanogenmod 12.0. It is all working perfectly and I'm very happy with the results.
My problem is I want to put in an O2 Sim Card and my phone is locked to T-Mobile UK. I purchased an unlock code for £9.99 (officialunlockcodes.com) and popped in my O2 Sim but after inputting the code into my phone, it said that the unlock was NOT successful and I still get the same message (Network / Perso Lock).
So my first question is, is the fact that my phone is running a custom ROM & unlocked/rooted preventing the unlock code from working?
My second question is a about reverting back to original HTC settings/software in order to unlock the network.
I read on a forum that someone else had issues using an unlock code on a custom ROM with unlocked bootloader. He reverted back to stock ROM and locked the bootloader and it worked for him. He then reinstalled the custom ROM and it was all fine. I have tried (and failed) to do the same but I cannot find any stock ROM or a Nandroid backup that is compatible with my phone.
The version is 3.16.110.6 and the CID is tmob005. Htboot version is 1.39.
I used TWRP Recovery & this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-...avoru-t3022358 for updating to the new storage layout for HTC One X Endeavoru and this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-...-12-0-t2976389 for my installation of Cyanogenmod 12.0. (both great resources!)
When I unlocked the bootloader & rooted my phone, I used ClockworkMod as the recovery tool and I did take a back up. However, I foolishly wiped my SD card & storage before I updated to the new storage layout (and changed to TWRP recovery tool) when I was installing Cyanogenmod 12.0 a few days later so as far as I'm aware, I can't simply restore my original ROM.
Does anyone have any ideas? Ideally, all I want to do is unlock the carrier/network and continue using my phone as it is with Cyanogenmod 12.0 but if I need to revert back to stock ROM to unlock the network, I'm prepared to do that. I just don't know how as I've searched through the collections and archives here and can't find a stock ROM or Nandroid backup that's compatible. I may be getting myself very confused on this as I don't really understand CID so I hope I've not missed anything obvious.
I've also tried achieving S-OFF with firewater & rumrunner but it fails and from what I can tell through various threads and research, S-OFF isn't possible yet for my model of HTC One X.
Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much Amber

I am not reading hole post but I will say few word.
1. No S-OFF for HOX international Tegra
2. For SIM unlock you must be complete stock to work and if you take the code from internet have 95% chance to not work

Hi.
I have HTC One X (Endeavoru / htc_europe).
It is S-OFF and supercid 11111111.
Is it possible to remove the operator's SIM lock?
If yes - please advise or give links and I will read them.
I was not able to find a working way to do it.
Hope someone could help.
