where can i find the zip? on my internal sdcard > update.zip ?
In fact i received 2 ota, first 233MO and the second 3Mo
We poor people here in Canada,,,we dont get any updates......I asked acer support Canada and about update release region schedule, and was told that it is set in Taiwan,,and that they have no idea ,who gets what when .
Wonder how this will effect rooted users?

Well there was a scheduled ICS update planned for shortly after Xmas. Could this be it? Have either of the two updates been flashed to the tab? I'm curious about the
3mo update.

I wonder if its the same exact 3.2.1 one i posted in the ROM section.
As I posted in another thread, when I was corresponding with acer support they told me that Canada was scheduled for the 3.21 update in late December or early January
So it is logical to assume that IF the ICS update comes in january ,,(and remember the only confirmation that there will be one,was from an acer rep in Poland.),that it will likely not come to regions such as Canada till april/may if ever
.
Please check "/cache/fota_dn/" before update!
check for what?? I dont seem to have a fota_dn folder anyway

That was meant for anyone whose receiving the OTA prompt. The OTA package is cached in that certain location before ur tab initializes the update, because once the update is applied, that package is deleted from that directory.
So....extract and copy the update before ur tab uses it, and then upload for everyone else to enjoy
Atleast, that's how I took it

I just got TWO updates here in Québec - 2.007.01 and 2.007.04.
At least the headphone/speaker bug is fixed.
Is the complete list of new features/fixes available somewhere?
Now to re-root my A100.....

3.2.1 seemed to fix the headphone bug, even the "unofficial" version from xda fixed it.
Good question, I am wondering as well.
Got the two updates in Ontario as well once I went back to 3.2.
Also in the Netherlands: at jan 2 installed 2.007.01 and 2.007.04.
The only difference I noticed is the market page layout; for me the old version was fine.

April 2016 security update patches approx. 86mb.
Can I just restart and install this update on a rooted device with stock ROM? Or is there a procedure one must go through after rooting to install these updates? Thanks

I've always updated manually just to be safe. Vomer that offers the ROM, CleanCore ( not, CleanRom) gives very detailed instructions on how to do so.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/nex...-cleancore-n5x-100-lean-stock-mdb08i-t3236956
There are also a few programs you can install that will do it for you. Here is a couple. Good idea to know how to do it yourself and to have it setup and ready to use.

Hi Brothers, patchs of november its avaliable now in official site
https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images
whats new in this update please??
I feel like an idiot. I have no idea which is the newest one for Marshmallow.
I've read this and I just can't grasp it.
The second letter is a branch code that allows Google to identify the exact code branch that the build was made from, and R is by convention the primary release branch.
The next letter and two digits are a date code. The letter counts quarters, with A being Q1 2009. Therefore, F is Q2 2010. The two digits count days within the quarter, so F85 is June 24 2010.
Finally, the last letter identifies individual versions related to the same date code, sequentially starting with A; A is actually implicit and usually omitted for brevity.
The date code is not guaranteed to be the exact date at which a build was made, and it is common that minor variations added to an existing build re-use the same date code as that existing build.

If you mean installing the OTA in sideload, yes i have. Very easy to do and no issues do far.
Just got offered this. Up through Nov security patch. I'm not on Verizon, FYI since I know they have their own upgrade path.
Nice! I'll have to flash back to stock to see if I can grab the OTA. Also post a screenshot of the "about device" screen once your OTA finishes.

Will do, although I'm traveling for work now and like to do these things when I'm home and settled. Should be able to install on Wed.
Well, I received the OTA as well. I captured the flashable zip file for it, so feel free to sideload away at will. (At your own risk, of course.)

Yeah.. I should have shared that I'm on at&t.
Only took two months for this one.. I'm hoping to see Oreo soon. Seems like it's been rolling out on other Motorola devices from the same generation. I'm really hoping for improved memory management.
Everything else on this device is awesome to me.. except GPS. I don't really understand why it has so much trouble until I start moving for a little bit. Never had issues with any other phone I've owned

Oh... So this means we'll have to wait more for oreo, or may this be a "preparation" for oreo? What does this update brings? I don't have any stability issues..
Well it would make sense to have most devices on the same firmware for a seamless OREO upgrade...
Argh, this is just taking too long unfortunately.

Us RETUS haven't gotten the November patch yet, so it's new to us. I just read what was on the changelog. You may be right about the Oreo preps though.

Did you buy the G5+ directly from Lenovo/Moto unlocked, or through your carrier? There might be a different patchset depending on any carrier the phone might be locked to. Also grab a screenshot of the about device screen if you can.

i guess its recommend to do a full wipe when upgrading to 9.0 right?
also, will magisk work on pie?
Anyone on TMobile and DP5 get the OTA?
Just got the DP5>Official OTA on Verizon.

using Android since 2010 and never did a full wipe for a version upgrade (even with Samsung's phones)
I received the ota but sized at 48mb..? Is that wrong??
So it seems like no one on TMobile and DP5 got the OTA? I ask because TMobile has had a separate variant of the OTA/factory image over the last few.

I asked specifically about TMobile and DP5 because of the different variant of the OTA/Factory Image over the last few updates. Anyone get the update on TMO and DP5?

Don't think you have to wipe. Just updated 1 locked and 1 unlocked with OTA and Image. Edited flash-all with no -w.
Everything is totally perfect.
Noted that 6 apps were removed. None that I ever use.
