Use Odin with the appropriate files in the specified boxes (i.e. in the AP box select the AP, the BL box the BL... and then don't forget the .pit file which is a few tabs over). Also make sure you have developer options enabled and OEM UNLOCK on. And a huuuuuge thanks to the op!!!!

Ok,
I'll update with Odin later.
BTW, how do I reroot on this new Nougat update?
I previously used CF-Auto Root zenltespr-smg928p.tar.md5

Had same problem... what I did was updated to G928PVPS3BQB1 from Sam mobile, then checked for updates and received OTA
Nougat 7.0 (G928PVPU3DQC5) working perfectly.
Not sure if I can root on this new firmware.

I tried multiple versions of odin to flash the G928PVPU3DQC5 zip, yet it would always hang on user data in odin at 90-95% complete. Not to say it doesn't work for anyone. What I did was I used the G928PVPS3BQB1 in odin and updated to U3DQC5 through the system update. Now I was able to install TWRP and root how I will explain, you have to have OEM unlock and USB debugging on in developer options. To unlock the developer settings you go to settings, about phone, build number and touch it several times. Make sure you have Magisk-v12.0 in your sd card. Now in odin flash the twrp-3.1.0-0-zenltespr.img.tar make sure auto reboot is unchecked in odin. To reboot simply hold the volume down button, home button, power button. When the screen goes black "quickly" hold the volume up button, home button, power button in twrp flash the Magisk-v12.0 zip and FYI the debloat.zip did work as well. Hope this helps!
umm... Does anyone else have 64gb device? I did a full wipe before flashing but now it says I only have 16gb and half of that is system. Wow this is bad. I was hoping to start frsh and get my space back but now I have way less than when I started

To start I bought this phone from a friend was working fine. It seemed to be rooted after going to recovery mode and realizing it was a custom recovery that I got into. I've had plenty on iPhones and androids , so far this is the first time after hours of research and trying everything that I've had to make a post asking for help. I have a sgh-i747 pebble blue ATT phone. It had 4.3 OS on it and was rooted before I acidentally wiped the OS off of it. I've tried the past few days to use Odin to get the stock firmware back on, I've tried 4.0.1 - 4.3 , no luck. Odin recognizes phone after I click start after choosing the md5 tar file it either says fail or stays at setupconnection. I've tried many times over and over unistalling and re installing drivers , kies, and downloading different firmware and every version of Odin. I need help guys please , thanks alot

Since your phone was on 4.3, the only thing you can do now would be a stock restore to 4.3. Please see the thread below for the stock restore zip as well as instructions. You may use another device to copy the stock restore zip to an external SD card and then place this card in your phone, then flash from (custom) recovery. Odin cant help you now except to flash custom recovery if you need to redo this.

Good you have TWRP already. You can try to see if you can save the zip to your phone's internal memory as the PC may be able to recognize it in download or recovery mode. Otherwise, you may try using any other device at all that accepts (micro) SDHC card e.g. camera, card adapter etc. You may also be able to flash the zip directly from your PC using the desktop flasher. See thread with instructions below ...

Glad to know your phone is now working fine. To root or not is a choice you'll have to make depending on how much control you want over your phone. The pros are that you literally have control over your phone in terms of installing apps or making modifications to the operating system. You can install custom ROMs and/or apps that you would otherwise not be able to install. The con, of course, is security and integrity of your phone. There is always a risk that you may end up bricking your phone or creating access for malware. Rooting should, therefore, be something you do only if you have need for it.
... Just Odin stock ROM and work from there or if twrp isn't latest... Odin latest recovery and then USB files into phone using recovery and then flash... Or again just use odin to flash and then do whatever you want afterward

So i try the hard reset but it has an error too.. "MDM does not allow factoryReset. Phone will REBOOT automatically" dfq!..
I don`t know the problem.. I just buy this tab at the market and used it .. nothing else.. its not rooted or no custom rom apply , or kernel .. just the stockrom

Im so sorry..im searching some custom rom for Galaxy Tab S 10.5 to completely reset my tablet... for the ODIN, still stucked up .. i think its because i upgraded the firmware using samsung kies yesterday.. and now i dont really know what to do... do you have any custom rom for galaxy s tab 10.5 ?
You can't ROM it unless you have root.
Unplug it and power it up .
Have you tried the stock firmware Odin file in the development section .download and extract below tar.file and run it in Odin
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2800372
Try above Odin file before we
start over.
1: Uninstall kies from your computer
2: grab USB drivers for your device from Samsung's website
3: on your computer go to "device manager" and look under "portable devices" and "other devices" to delete/uninstall drivers and restart computer.
4: connect your tablet and install downloaded drivers from Samsung .eject tablet when finished
5: re download the CF-Auto-root and extract it for use again(delete all previous root/drivers so you don't mix them up)
6: boot into download mode with button combo and re connect your phone to computer and start Odin.
7: navigate to extracted
CF-Auto-root location and open file in AP or PDA slot and run it again.
Seriously no matter what you do and what the screen says ,you can still end up with a partial/bad download.oh and kies is no good cause it knows that your device is up to date.

Give it time to boot,if it don't boot after ten minutes than do the button combo till you get into download mode and start over yet again as far as Odin the stock file and than TWRP .don't wipe right after flashing TWRP ,let it boot first than boot into recovery with another app called "reboot" purple with a yellow lightning bolt is the apps icon
---------- Post added at 12:24 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:17 PM ----------
Get it to boot after root and custom recovery and then just format the internal SD card and then I'll take care of your situation

Also you need to be more descriptive about what you've done or followed so far .I can give better instructions accordingly

Did you use this method
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2903733
Try to be as specific to what exactly you have tried.
Why are you trying to wipe the EFS ?
If it's in fact a T-Mobile Note 4 than the Odin method should work with no problem assuming you follow the instructions fully.
I've used Odin 3.07 to flash n900t-cwm-recovery-6.0.4.4(1025) but it didn't pass. I'm tired now and I want to go to bed but it bugs me I don't have root.
On 4.2 I think it was easy but on 5.0 it won't work for me, now. I've scoured pages and pages, so for now I am kindly asking for some directions.
Try flashing the latest TWRP and then flash supersu from TWRP to get root.

Thanks, did it, it flashed it but now it gives me "Recovery is not Seandroid Enforcing". I pulled the battery right after the pass message, no change.
Read in thread about "Reactivation Lock" but I don't have that option in the stock Lollipop 5.0.
Any ideas?
So your phone is not booting? Boot into download mode and tell us what it says.
Oh no, the phone works fine. I can boot into stock Lollipop but it won't boot into recovery (Vol Up). It boots into Odin Vol Down.
All I want is to install su. First I tried to flash CWM recovery with Odin, didn't pass. Then I tried TWRP (their website is down), it passed but got "Recovery is not Seandroid Enforcing" error. So now I'm lost. I think all have to flash a modified ROM but I'm confused about their specs (what is Deoxified)
Wait wait, Oding IS the recovery, no? I'm totally confused now.
Try this: open Odin and uncheck everything except f.reset time, connect the phone, flash TWRP, when you see the word "reset" in the status window, remove USB cable, remove battery, replace battery, use button combination to boot into recovery.
Thanks for the help. I've tried that sequence before. It didn't work. I'll try it again.
But I've managed to install su using Chainfire's Auto Root for Kitkat (but I have Lollipop). Now I have an older recovery. Will that cause any troubles?
What I've learned from my "ordeal" is make sure you have the right versions. In my case particularly the phone model, N900T, and then the software versions, N900TUVUFOB6, where B6 is the Lollipop (right?).
No no no!
I've rebooted into old recovery now my user interface in Lollipop doesn't work. I guess the recovery deleted some cache (noticed some messages at the bottom)
I guess I'll burn the Lollipop + CF Autoroot for the N-th time and never boot into recovery.

On 4.2 I think it was easy but on 5.0 it won't work for me, now. I've scoured pages and pages, so for now I am kindly asking for some directions.

Hi there,
I have one question. I have rooted my phone with cf-autoroot method same as you and like you I can't installed custom recovery, weather it be TWARP or CWM. Buy my question isn't this.
I was just randomly checking my app manager for all my apps and found getroot version 1.0 was installed.
Can you confirm me that u have the same thing.
Because it has access to my camera SD card and sms.
Let me know.

Make sure you have patched sd access and set correct path for location.
SD patch
Or use this this version of twrp and open in Odin just as you would cf autoroot.

I think all have to flash a modified ROM but I'm confused about their specs (what is Deoxified)

i747 Galaxy S3 only boots into download mode, Odin Stuck on "Initialization"
Hey guys, so I finally decided to post here after spending an embarrassing amount of time trying to fix my problem and getting nowhere. I have an i747 Samsung Galaxy S3 that gets stuck on the loading screen when booting, and won't go into recovery mode (download mode works fine). I have tried to flash the original 4.3 firmware using Odin with no success...it keeps getting stuck on the "Initialization" step. I've tried 3 different cables, 2 different laptops with 5 usb ports in total, 3 different versions of Odin (3.07, 3.09, 3.10) all to no avail. I have downloaded the Samsung Mobile Drivers and my computer does recognize the device (though it thinks its a modem and not a phone). I'd appreciate some assistance in reviving my device, thanks!
Might be important so i'll mention it. I cannot remember the most recent firmware that the phone was displaying before it died, it might have been 4.1 or 4.2 but I read somewhere else that if it says "Warranty Bit" in download mode that implies it is 4.3?
I've also tried using two different md5 files, one from http://androidromupdate.com/att-samsung-galaxy-s3-sgh-i747-odin-stock-firmware/ and the other from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2722660&page=5
In download mode, my phone displays this:
Odin Mode
Product Name: SGH-I747
Custom Binary Download: No
Current Binary: Samsung Official
System Status: Official
Qualcomm Secureboot: Enable
Warranty Bit: 0
BOOTLOADER RP SWREV: 2
Since your phone is the i747, there is not stock firmware that can be flashed with Odin that is newer than 4.1.1. All updates for the i747 were released via OTA updates.
I suggest verifying the bootloader and modem on your phone before flashing anything else as an incompatible bootloader and modem combination can hard brick the phone.
To get the phone booted, I would flash TWRP for the d2lte via Odin and then flash a custom ROM such as cm12.1. Once booted you can veriify the bootloader and modemr and modem.

Interesting. How do I verify the bootloader and modem on the phone? Does the information provided in download mode tell me this? I have no way of booting up the phone to check its settings.
Also regarding OTA, do you think this guide would work for me? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2549068
Your phone is not bricked so I would not use that thread.
Download the latest tar version of twrp for the d2lte (AT&T version of s3) from here: https://dl.twrp.me/d2att/
Download the latest CM11 from here: http://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=d2lte
Download the 4.4 Gapps package for ARM from here: http://opengapps.org/?api=4.4&variant=nano
Download Odin 3.07 from here: https://www.google.ca/url?sa=t&rct=...168421&usg=AFQjCNEdxqAS5QWImOPDJboTA_V3D5S9eA
Boot the phone into download mode, open Odin 3.07, uncheck everything except f.reset time. Flash TWRP in the PDA slot. When you see the word "reset" in the status window, remove the USB cable from the phone remove the battery, wait 5 seconds, replace the battery, boot the phone into recovery mode using the home, power, and volume up button. When the phone boots to recovery mode, you should see the TWRP recovery.
With the phone in TWRP, connect the phone to the computer, copy cm11 and Gapps to the phone's internal storage.
Within TWRP, wipe the system, cache, data, install cm11, install gapps, reboot.

Hey audit. When I tried downloading the latest twrp as you suggested, after extracting the file i'm only left with a recovery.img file. When using Odin and selecting PDA, it doesn't recognize the .img file and so I can't select it. I thought I need a tarmd5 file to flash with odin? Please advise me on how to proceed, thanks. (Btw, i tried downloading both the twrp-3.0.2-0-d2att.img.tar and the twrp-3.0.2-0-d2att.img, they both gave me recovery.img files when extracted).
Also I have another question, could you point me in the direction of a data cable that is 100% Odin approved? I'd really like to eliminate the possibility of a non-effective data cable preventing Odin from working properly.

Don't extract the twrp tar file, just flash it in Odin.

Glad my method worked for you :good:
Nougat TAR File Now Available!
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=457095661767156558
Things You Need To Know First
There are two variations on the 3-button method (also known as the "three-finger salute."
Volume Down + Home Button + Power puts you into Download mode.
Volume Up + Home Button + Power puts you into Recovery mode.
You will need Odin, which is here. With your phone in Download mode, Odin allows you flash firmware files (also called TAR files) and Recovery images. Odin is available from here: http://www.samsungodindownload.com/ Any version that starts with 3.10 (like 3.10.6) is fine. No need to update. Put the Odin files where you can find them
Getting Started
If you are on stock and have not rooted or changed the Recovery on your phone, go to Settings, scroll to the bottom, System Updates, Download manually. That should get you to Nougat. We'll come bac to this in a bit.
If you are Rooted and have TWRP installed, you have the option of a Clean Install. Which I recommend as this is a major update. This will wipe your settings and apps, you will need to begin all over, but it is worth the inconvenience. You can use Titanium Backup (TiBu for short) to back up apps and data, but you run the risk of things not working right. Your choice.
1) Download the Nougat TAR file and put that in your Odin directory.
2) To do a clean install, go to TWRP. Wipe, Advanced Wipe, then select Dalvik, System, Data and Internal Storage. WARNING! This is going to wipe everything, so back up your pictures, chat logs, etc. FIRST! Don't leave TWRP after this.
3) Still in TWRP, go to the Reboot menu. Select Download. Your phone should now be in Download mode.
4) Connect your cable, open Odin and select AP and point it to the QC7 file. Click start and wait awhile. This is rewriting your Recovery and operating system. It is going to take some time. Your phone should reboot.
5) Once you are done, you should be on Nougat. You will need to log in, like you were setting up a new phone.
6) Now to install TWRP and Root. Power your phone down. Once it is shut down, use Volume Down + Home Button + Power to get back into Download mode. Grab the TWRP TAR file from here: https://dl.twrp.me/zerofltespr/ Put that in your Odin directory as well, but wait before flashing. Open Odin, go to Options and de-select Auto Reboot. We don't want the phone to reboot until we root it first. Otherwise it will overwrite the TWRP file and return to stock recovery. Now we can flash the TWRP TAR.
7) Your phone will still be in Download mode. Hold the Volume Down + Home Button + Power buttons until the phone shuts down. It takes some seconds, don't panic.
8) After shutdown, hold the Volume Up + Home Button + Power to get into TWRP. Grab the root file from here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6/general/root-s6-nougat-supersu-t3570740 (don't forget to thank @dr.ketan for his work) and copy that to your phone. Flash in TWRP and reboot.
9) You now have a nice, clean, Nougat install with Root and TWRP.
Let me know your comments and if there are any steps that I need to modify.

Yes. I did this and I'm not having any issues or battery drain problems. You'll have the best experience if you do wipe, though. I'd do a backup either way just in case.
Out On Travel
Glad that this is working out for everyone. I'll be gone most of next week on a work trip. I'll check in on my return.
Have fun with Nougat!

Check on the Xposed thread, this is only for TWRP and Root. (I don't use Xposed, I'd be as likely to tell you the wrong thing as I would be to help.)
As of February, I heard that it wasn't ready. See http://www.androidpolice.com/2017/0...r-says-be-patient-a-nougat-version-is-coming/
But again, I just don't know for sure.
