Can somebody explain where does the complete roms of stock android come for the MZP?
I mean these roms https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-z-play/development/moto-z-play-stock-firmware-t3454495.
Are they provided by motorola?
If so, Why are they not providing full Nougat rom yet?, Or when does that happend?
Thanks in advance for the explanation.

You must install the firmware from the mirror version (The mirror and the tablet like version have exactly the same internals) so the hardware is the same CM84, therein a 1.90 beta version that would work great, it has some better quality of life enhancements! on that thread I asked in Russian if I can flash that mirror firmware on my tablet like device, I flashed it and everything was ok! In case anyone is searching info, here is the thread from 4pda:
https://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=792739
If you manage to make an account (there are tutorials on web how to solve 4pda Russian captcha to register) you will se a download link from a custom rom named CATS IV you can safely flash.
Hi Hardy, mind to share with me the firmware you used to flash your device? i bought this car cam from china and it does not come with google playstore and cannot install apk apps... hope you can assist me for the firmware. Thanks in advance.
Here do you have the download link from the latest CM84 firmware:
https://disk.yandex.ru/d/qhbWzQD43Q94GN
hey got a similar DVR android mirror. Was wondering if you could send CATs IV firmware? I don't see it on that website?
Hi, i have the same device, my son played with it and locked it by pin. Can't find a way to factory reset it.

With that said, this site has a good selection of stock LG G4 H812 kdz's/roms: https://lg-firmwares.com/lg-h812-firmwares/
Scroll down to LG H812 Firmware List and choose the appropriate one to download. I have used it and recommended it many times. H81210 = Android 5.1 ; H81220 = Android 6.0
You should use LGUP-NEW only to begin with to flash whatever kdz you end up selecting. It is the safest tool to use until you know what you're doing.
You can download it from here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/help/lgup-install-kdz-mm-lp-t3249803

Just a question, what does F, J, u, v, etc mean at the end of the roms?

I believe the letters indicate the timeline sequence of when the rom version was released - i.e., with X signifying the latest in the Marshmallow (Android 6) releases.

Thank you.
Hi there. I'm looking for firmware "1313-6140 H8314 51.1.A.11.51 customized KR"
My XZ2C ate Pie...
I want to downgrade my XZ2C to Oreo. So I searched google and other places, But unfortunately there are no place to get this ftf file.
I would be very appreciate If someone could supply this file. I know it's hard. But this site would be my last chance to get this file though.
Thanks in advance!!!
Is this the right (trusted) place to get stock firmware from??
https://motostockrom.com/motorola-moto-g8-play-xt2015-2
I'm new to Moto.
I see there are "official" links elsewhere.
And it depends on your provider build , I think.
Motorola doesn't give us the official links to their firmware roms. These website are either taking the firmware from another site or using logcat to take the link from the phone's ota update request and using it to download the firmware on their computers.
If you cannot trust any unofficial website, you can get the next official firmware from your phone by installing logcat on your phone, then as you click on update phone firmware and the firmware is downloading you can chceck on logcat program for the log which contains the line with the download link for the rom. In this case you can be 100% sure you're getting the rom directly from the developers. But be quick because this link is only valid for a specific time.
If you have no problems downloading from unofficial websites, or you want to downgrade/ update to a specific version, I like to use lolinet.

I don't know, it's probably ok.
Motorola Update Policy
Basically, Motorola will only provide One major Android update and two years of regular security updates.
But may extend support for devices that see longer than normal usage.
9 to 5 Google said:
For instance, this policy depends on the majority, so people who switch/upgrade their devices early could ruin the long-time use of a phone for others. Further, it’s just a paradox. Motorola is essentially saying that it will update phones the longer people keep them, but people will be more likely to upgrade their phone if they feel it’s been abandoned.

Motorola just announced a new Android update policy that paradoxically ties long-term support to how long most customers keep their phones.

Does Motorola still use blur_* OTA updates? If so, is there any other tool to get them? I tried the OTAU.exe and the online version... Couldn't find anything. Also, OTAU says it couldn't find the software version. I entered it manually, but still, it doesn't find anything.

Great info all easy to find!
I tried everything I could think of to find the stock ROM to get the boot.img out of to use Magisk on for my Moto g32 XT2235-2 (devon) and did not find it anywhere. No PC to run the Lenovo assistant (although this is my backup plan if nothing else works in a few days is find someone with a PC - I've used the tool before and it has saved phones for me that I messed up somehow).
Is there any way to pull the boot.img out of the phone itself with unlocked bootloader using fastboot commands or something?

Thanks for the link. It looks like that is for the xt2235-1 which by "retbr" I'm guessing means retail Brazil. I was looking to find xt2235-2 / "reteu" or retail Europe. I might try it eventually, but I'm in no hurry so I'll probably wait. Perhaps Lineage or other ROM will eventually be made.
