Hi.
The device is a g4 h815. Rooted, uses twrp and a custom rom.
Few days ago its rebooted and cant boot normally, just rebooting continously.
Try hard reset to enter twrp, but its not working.. rebooting.
Whats now? Bootloader is open, so i dont have warrantly i think, but its a hardware problem, wright?
Thanks for your answer!
Sounds like the bootloop issue.
Had almost the same problem and mine finally died. I put the phone in the refrigerator, it open a few times, and then it never booted again. I had bl unlocked, went to lg, they ptobably could not boot the device and replaced the motherboard no questions asked in warranty. Maybe you get lucky too

Hi everyone, on this past week I've been trying to get me XP back to life... but with no success.
For starters I woke up one day to find that my phone has powered off by itself (no root nor unlocked bootloader), tried to power it on but no response, had to remove e reinsert the battery for it to boot up. Some days later same thing but when i turned it on it started a bootloop, repaired with SEUS.
This week it made the same thing and i had to repair it with Wotanserver, but when i let it alone it would reboot... everytime it entered the sleep mode it would crash and reboot. Tried flashing some roms on the forum with no luck... now wotan sees my phone as a R800i when it really is a R800a and SEUS keep saying that me phone have the latest update.
Yesterday it stopped bootlooping... it don't even show the "Sony Ericcson" phrase.
I'm new to android phones got this phone in oct/2011, didn't installed CWM.
So if someone could try to help me i would really apreciate.
Ok so, download flashtool and flash the latest r800i firmware or the any r800a firmware. As long as you can enter flash mode, your phone is fine. The reason the roms didn't work is your locked bootloader.
Nevermind, Potato13 beat me to it before I finished typing.
Thanks for the replies.
Yes I tried flashtool with several rom's either R800i and R800a from .42 to .62, from US to HK. Neither made my phone show any signs of beeing better.

try to unlock your bootloader.. then flash r800a fw..
So to get this right - You already flashed different stock firmwares to it and that stuff still happened?
Should actually not happen... to me that would indicate that there is some kind of hardware problem since you never rooted the phone nor unlocked the bootloader to really mess things up.
I would send it in

Isn't unlocking bootloader only for custom rom's? Well thats what i think it is.

Yes I was thinking on doing so but i already flashed other Fw's on this phone isnt my warrant already void? I'm saying this because I dont think I would have the money to pay the repair service.
As far as I am concerned, only rooting and unlocking the bootloader voids your warranty. You have done neither so you should be fine .
I asked Sony Customer support once how to handle my not booting phone and they adviced me to flash stock firmware - So I would figure they can't deny you services because of doing so.

---------------------------Update(05/14/2012)--------------------------
Sent the phone to SE as sashake recommended, and turn out that the problem was with the hardware itself.
SE gave me a new unit as it was still covered by warranty.
Hello,
My question to you is, if i'm repairing my phone with sony pc companion , will root capabilities dissapear?
Because i whant to send my phone to service and i'm worried that if i have root the warranty will be denied.
Or can you help me with another option to unroot and make the phone be at factory settings.
Thank you very much.

are your phone still can boot up? i mean not in brick condition?
if your phone still can boot up, you can flash your phone with stock ftf firmware file with flashtool software and do full wipe data before install. and you can service it safely and no worrie with root warranty
The phone is fully functional, the only problem is my micro usb charging slot wich is not working proprely, and that's why i need to send it to service.
I'm kind of reserved to flash anithing because i'm worried not to break something.
But by doing a repair phone from sony pc companion is not the same thing with flashing the stock ftf with flashtool?

it's the same, I belive that as long as you haven't unlocked your bootloader it'll be fine but how do you want to flash it when your usb is broken?
I have a locked bootloader so i think i'm good.
It's not quite broken.
It's not charging fast enough , and sometimes it stops charging.
I'm hoping that it's not gonna affect the repair process.
What do you think?

I have the same issue, it's not usb fault, there is something wrong with motherboard. It's preatty common problem but I saw case where repair shop told guy to buy new battery and charger, he did it and it didn't helped, then he send it again to repair and they changed his motherboard
well I send my one to service and if they won't fix it i'll put it into trash. This phone makes me angry, hopefully I bought new moto e.

i already said that i can only access to emergency mode , no custom recovery on my device
If your LED doesn't blink it means u just got a 'bootloop issue'. LG said its 'loose connection between the components', so high five cuz my G4 died as well, I mailed LG if I can get replacement. Since they replaced people's G4 after the warranty period they should replace it even if the bootloader is unlocked, when they reply I'll tell you whether you can get replacement or throw it away. (Theres no fix for it)

unlocking the bootloade voids your warranty.. only way is to send it to LG... or used the modded KDZ to disable big cores... in case you ncaat fix it. or get new motherboard..

bootloop not software but hardware... but you could try flashing KDZ using LGUP. ive seen some claim theirs worked after flashinf stock firmware if it continues then hardware but most likely its hardware..
mines is unlockable.. and trying to keep it that way for the same reason... ive seen a post that says it can be relocked...
heres is the post.. i would like to ask you a favor if you try it.. make video of it .. to prove it works..

This is the reason why i swap my G4 H818P to Korean Variant G4. The Bootloop problem. Korean Variant is perfect for me. Strong 4G signal and no more SMS Limits in Marshmallow official update.

Hello,
is it worth to unlock the bl under warranty (till august) or recommended to keep it locked? I want to try custom roms and kernels but if i'll get a bootlop i can't relock it.
Please post your opinion, thanks
I could be wrong on this, but there are two assumptions you're making, that I believed the opposite to be true.
The first is that Google won't warranty the device is that the bootloader is unlocked. I thought they would?
The second is that a software bootloop can't be fixed. If the device is bootlooping because of a hardware issue, there's no hope. I was under the impression that a software glitch could be repaired by putting it in a firmware download mode, and fastboot flashing the whole system?

I talked about the hw bootloop.
My question is : can I relock the bootloader if I get a hw bootlop? I know it will stuck at google logo but maybe the bl reachable...
If you have a hardware related bootloop you may be able to re-lock the bootloader, however the phone may be completely unresponsive (mine was completely unresponsive when I had the hw related bootloop). The phone also may respond for a bit then become unresponsive again.
Did you buy your device from Google? If so, they are not concerned about an unlocked bootloader (at least the two reps I talked to when both of my devices bootlooped said that it was not a problem and both of my devices have been replaced out of warranty).

I want to relock it. So sad i cant use a custom rom/kernel because off the fkin bootlop failure.
I am interested in this also. I was planing to buy new Nexus 5X now, but all bootloop thing is making me consider. I am not sure if it is worth to gamble. But as I see over forum, it is not like 50% of phones bootloops. It is a lot less percent.
