Reusing a LG Bootloader unlock.bin token - G4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So my LGG4 is off getting repaired due to the dreaded bootloop issue. Once I have it back I plan on unlocking the Bootloader and rooting again. I have heard issues whereby repaired G4's get the 'DeviceID unmatched' error when applying for a unlock token via the LG website. I understand you can contact LG to get this rectified; however I have found the email from LG I got when I first unlocked the Bootloader, with the unlock.bin file attached.
My question is: Should I run into any DeviceID issues during the unlocking procedure, can I reuse this file to unlock my Bootloader, or do I need to go through the process to get another re-sent? The email details a specific DeviceID so my initial thought is a No, but I did wonder (hope) this number is just used to generate a generic token that is matched via the IMEI? Any help much appreciated.

Lol only reason i knew is cause i came across sam prob a few times now as u can suspect. Ive never heard of any problems with anyone and lg doing this. Should be pretty straight foward. Call em. Might have to goto a higher level of tech service not sure
Im just assuming standard support level is not very supportive lol.

This depends on how they fix your device.
Carphone Warehouse in the UK fixed mine by swapping the mainboard to a 701,
They did not tamper with the IMEI or Device ID's on the replacement board and swapped the sticker under my battery cover to reflect the new details.
I did not need to contact LG as i just requested an unlock for the new IMEI and Device ID Pair.
Hope you get sorted

i was assuming lg done his i didnt even know aftermarket companys did the repair authorized of coarse
they had to pull the device id off of the old one and program it to the new one so technicly they did tamper with it
they may have been able to pull the info from the imei i dont know but my note 5s device id changes from rom to rom sometimes and i have to update it with the company who unlocked it so it holds same imei
just trying to wrap my head around how they got uree bootlooped devices id as it can be changed even if iemi stays the same

I got a new IMEI and Device ID and just went through the unlock proceedure again with this new info.
Thats what i meant by them not tampering with it, I got a new device with my old casing/screen.
They did not transfer my IMEI or Device ID to the new board.
CPW are authorised on behalf of LG to repair the device and since i bought it from them it was easier/safer for me to take it into a store.

G4 H815 IMEI shows as Sprint G3?

I have bought an LG G4 that has some issues. The previous owner took the phone to some unofficial repair centers and now I have difficulty in even identifying the model of the phone. Now:
1. In the Settings, About the phone, Hardware info, the phone's model is listed as LG-H818
2. CPU-Z reports the device as LG G4(LG-H815). The board is msm8992.
3. Likewise, AIDA64 reports the device as LG-H815.
4. When I take the back cover, I see H815 stamped in three places at the top of the device, just above the camera module.
5. When I take the battery out, the sticker says LG-H815 but when I check the IMEI number, it shows up as belonging to LGLS990, which is Sprint LG G3! I have checked via imeidata.net and also LG CSMG Tool. Both give the same result.
6. In fastboot mode, the device shows up as locked. I registered with LG Dev. Found out about the device id and when I try to get the unlock code, it gives me this error: "Device ID is unmatched. Please check your Device ID. Your account will be locked if you enter the wrong Device ID more than 9 times."
What do you think could be going on here? Is this a refurbished device with a phony IMEI number? How can I unlock this device?
Thanks for all your help and advice.
Refurbished probably, send LG support email and they will send you unlock code

Check iemi in about device i believe network area should give the real iemi there. Prob is a refurb. Or in worst case a stolen with modified iemi if the iemi in settings is diffrent check it on swappa if the same like prev poster email lgdev they can update it
Thanks for the replies. I have spoken to an experienced technician today. He said my device was probably put together in China with a motherboard from here and chassis from there etc. So it looks I have been scammed.

[LG G4][Issue] IMEI in software different from the one in back label unable to Unlock

have an LG G4 H815 I'm facing problem with low level network & loose of LTE so i wanted to unlock my device to gain more solutions but when i put my imei in LG developers site. I got the answer that my device ID don't match the imei so i tried the Imei found in the back label . the same thing i got the same answer. So now im unable to unlock my device
Looks like you are using a refurbished device, go check your hardware IMEI to identity your device, only H811 or H815 gets BL unlocked

Dial *#06# will give you your hardware IMEI, that's the real IMEI.
Open a new tab, copy the link below and paste your IMEI after the “=”
http://www.lgbbs.com/LGB2B/IMEI.php?IMEI=YOUR IMEI
You won't be able to unlock your bootloader unless you have a label under your battery that has same IMEI as what shows by dialing *#06#. This is only done if repaired by LG authorised repairer.
LG will ask for photo proof of the label and even the barcode has to match. Trust me I changed my own motherboard and they don't want to know about it!
Send a mail to lg [email protected] and ask for unlock. like this:
Hello,
I tried to bootloader unlock my LG g4 H815 but i got device ID mismatch using official unlock web site.
The mainboard was replaced in aug. 2016 under warrenty. (LG Germany).
What can i do to unlock the bootloader of this device?
Best regards

Answer by lg:
Hello,
*
We apologize for any inconvenience.
*
it may not match due to the replacement.
*
If so, please send us the following:
- The new Device ID copied from the DOS command window as text.
(You can copy the Device ID with the right button of your mouse.)
- A label photo file (less than 200KB) taken from the back of the phone.
(You can find the label when you remove the battery.)*
** In the photo, the label must be visible on the back of the phone.
*
We are now providing an interim solution for this issue.
Hello,
*
We apologize for the delay and any inconvenience caused.
**last week was the Korean Thanksgiving (Chu-Seok) holiday period.*
*
You can now unlock the bootloader of your phone at Unlock Bootloader page. Please try again.
*
Best Regards,
LG Developer site Team

Device ID is unmatched when trying to open bootloader

Hello, Im trying to open my bootloader and root my LG G4(H815) but when Im trying to get the unlock.bin file, I get this error from LG: "Device ID is unmatched. Please check your Device ID. Your account will be locked if you enter the wrong Device ID more than x times."
From what I've read, the reason is probably because I had the common LG problem and I had my motherboard replaced(twice, if it matters). anyway, I don't really know what to do now, how to get a new IMEI number? Is there anything I can do on my own to do that? should I contact the local LG customer service? or the shop I bought the phone from?
Thanks.
anyone?

If it shows as stolen it means that the IMEI has been black listed by a carrier, being usable now would depend on what carrier you are using (all US carriers use the blacklist database to check the IMEI number). Unlocking your device has nothing to do with the "stolen" issue as showing as stolen means that someone has reported that device (that IMEI number) as stolen to their carrier. Once a device has been blacklisted there is really nothing you can do legally.
Just a quick warning, if you are thinking of buying a used phone, eBay or anywhere else, a LOT of the phones are either stolen or are still under contract (not paid for), so let the buyer beware because if the phone is blacklisted you just bought an expensive paperweight

Bootloader unlock

I am trying to unlock the bootloader on my unlocked T-Mobile N100. When I went to the OnePlus website to enter my info (serial #, imei, unlock code), it keeps telling me to provide a valid imei. I bought the phone of a guy on offer up app and it works fine with my AT&T sim, but it keeps giving me that message. I've tried contacting OnePlus but they said they needed an invoice to further investigate the issue which all I have are the screenshots of the original post and the conversation we had about meeting up (which I submitted to them). Has anyone else had this issue? I'm pulling my hair out trying to figure it out.
The OP8T also had this bug with the unlock website for the first few month of the phone release. Try contacting OP and see if they are aware of the bug.
Hi, friend, can u tell me how did u unlock this phone? Is there any free ways?
