hi there, i have a big problem, my n7105T from telstra australia is not working. it happned after i flashed it into a different firmware, and the pc suddenly shutdown. the imei is now showing null and baseband unknown, ive tried each and every steps i found here but nothing seems to work. cant even generate a dummy imei. (was not able to back it up)
steps tried;
reflashing it back to stock rom
tried the 9 steps process
also 3 technicians tried to fix it using different boxes, octopus, spt, nspro and dont know what other boxes they have tried. my phone stayed even for 2 weeks to one of the techs since he was really challenged on fixing my phone. but still no avail.
my efs is all empty regardless what rom your going to flash it to.
pls help, willing to pay if needed.
thanks
My phone modem randomly shuts itself, I think.
My phone was broken about a month ago, no efs backup, generic imei, 00000 serial number. It was fixed by a local shop who has those "boxes".
It was formatted to the early iterations of JB 4.1.2. DMA1 I think. I then updated it through OTA to the latest version DMC3.
Then it happened. My messages would suddenly be lost. I dialed *102# in the dialer then it hangs, The signal icon would then be the circle icon like those in no parking signs after 10 sec. This method actually forces the modem to restart. Then all would be okay again like nothing happened. All messages are intact.
I flashed the stock rom thinking it would repair the problem but I mistakenly flashed Dr Ketans pre rooted rom marked XME which is for Malaysia. Flashed the proper firmware from Sammobile, XTE for the Philippines. No Signal. Restored using the efs I backed up after my phone got repaired. Emergency Calls Only. Installed Ariza Patch. Got my signal back, Imei normal, Serial Number Normal, but my Baseband Version shows Ariza_NII_[V.01].
I thought I fixed my problem but its still there. It still randomly hangs while Im texting.
Could it be a Kernel Problem? What Kernel could you suggest?
Could it be a bug in the messaging and phone app? Even for Google Play apps, it hangs, looses my messages.
Has anyone encountered such?
I would post a video if it happened again.
Please HELP!
Here is what happened :
I use my phone like usual (playing video games and made phone calls) and suddenly not registered to network and emergency calls
Here is the condition before no network :
- rooted
- custom rom, phoenix rom 15.0
So I did this :
1. Ariza Patch - Failed, IMEI and Baseband null, Wifi error
Reflash your newest rom, imei baseband normal, no network
2. Flash phoenix rom 16.0 several times with all the modem, I tried each of them, no luck, no network.
3. restore EFS, no luck
4. reflash the 15.0 version, still no network.
5. Tried this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2539731
basically, flash patched mk4 and then mj9, no network T_T
6. Tried to bang my head and my phone to the wall, still no network T_T
Here is the condition right now :
- Emergency calls, not registered to network
- IMEI is correct, same like sticker
- Baseband isn't null
Please help T_______________T
Thank you so much for reading this.

I think your sim card is loose. You should try to check it before bumping your head and phone to the wall

I had the same or similar issue after updating using a Phoenix rom last year, and I didn't back up my EFS file.
Ended up with a generic imei and could not make calls etc.
The bottom line was I got on to Samsung, and more or less left myself at their mercy. I told them I had rooted the device and lost the EFS data and they got me to post the device off to the Samsung repair centre in the UK.
The repair centre tech guys took a look and declared that there was a "calibration" issue with the device, and didn't charge me a penny to do the repair. I had to pay first class postage and nothing else.
Hope you get it sorted mate, and sorry for my rambling post, it happened a few months back so I'm a bit shady on the full details of it.
Hi, I got a T-Mobile Galaxy S4 (SGH-M919), after a couple months the phone stopped reading SIM cards, when I checked the IMEI (*#06#) it shows as NULL/NULL and in the settings Baseband Version is unknown.
I tried reflashing my ROM but nothing helped, last week I got a new SIM card reader replacement for my phone, it worked for a day, but the next morning my phone stopped working again.
Any ideas what to do about it would be very much appreciated.
Thank you
I'm currently on KitKat 4.4.2 (the problem started while on 4.2.2).
Update:
When I clear the cache and dalvik cache, fix permissions in CWM (I'm not sure which one helps - it's a bit random), the phone starts to work again and I can make calls, but after about 15-20 minutes the phone loses any signal, when I restart I'm back to Unknown Baseband.
Sometimes I'm able to get the phone working again through EFS Professional - Fix Unknown Baseband, but then again it doesn't last long.
Hello,
after my S9 got stuck and I had to reboot the device, I am not able to connect to a mobile network. No SIM is detected and the IMEI for both SIMs are "unknown" I already read about a missing EFS partition (backup is avalable) and a wrong baseband, but every hint of fixing this problem seems not to work. A complete restore did not work, I am not able to go back to stock rom (Error message: CHECK FAILED (BOOTLOADER)). So I already think, that it is bricked now....
My phone is a G960F, LineageOS 17.1 (TWRP 3.4.0).
Maybe someone can give me another hint.
Thanks in advance
Mobile phone was finally rescued. Thank you very much. fixed by @hainguyenthao
