Just a note, I think anyone should also be able to pull the file from the full factory image manually.

That's true but it's already here. Worked fine for me with new Resurrection Remix build.

I do not think it is possible. I have read that the one 4.2.2 and up and the S4 have been patched (aosp source was patched a while ago). Not sure why those motos have not seeing as they are running 4.2.2.... but who knows. If its possible, jcase knows about it so don't bug him. Please correct me if I am wrong.

specifics? I just see him talking about motoX.
I'm only asking because I'm curious, not trying to bug him / you about it. Just wanna read
Pretty sure he tweeted about not using the method on anything besides a Motorola phone.
Well obviously something was a bit easier to get hacked on the Moto phones than the One, but I certainly didnt think the new Moto Line would be rooted that fast either, still cant unlock the bootloader yet right? Ah well, just have to keep waiting
Has anyone said the hell with it and tried it out of curiosity? its reversible via a factory reset it seems if something goes wrong.

I have a Verizon Pixel XL and I have rooted it and installed TWRP. I have also unlocked the boot loader.
My question is how do I update with the OTA updates. I see there are multiple OTA listed on the site. I'm currently on NDE63X.

Yeah. I thought it would still line up with the system images/OTA from Google no matter where you were.

Yeh I figured that out. Our phone would have been perfect if there would have been a port. I was even willing to pay the developer. Anyway. Maybe sometime in future.

Why don't YOU port it. I mean, someone has to port if they want it. Be a project for your spare time.

I even considered that! But the only problem is am not a technically sound person.
And there are no clear instructions on how to port it to a device. I can give it a shot if somebody could point me out in the right direction

Sailfish is butter smooth and looks amazing. Had it on the Moto X Play as an Alpha release
Does anyone know where to get the source code? I looked but I couldn't find it.

I do remember having to flash CM 12 as a base yes. Things have changed. Remember it's a new OS and should be treated separately to iOS and Android. If that makes sense.
I've asked the dev if he can show where the source code is

I recommend reading the thread I linked you to. Android apps may be supported now....it's a year since I last used it and it was a work-in-progress

I came across this and because it's not posted by the actual developer I'm a bit weary https://www.cyanogenmods.org/forums...el-3-xl-android-9-0-pie-download-and-install/
It's been up for at least a day yet there's no comments in the forum.

That's the only person that I know of that is working on it for the Pixel 3 XL. You could always build it yourself.
