Dynavin powered by Android

Didn't really know where to put this, sorry if this is in the wrong spot.
I am new here, been coming here for a few months. Been enjoying the help and advice in the Eris section, and loving GSB.
I own a BMW, and there are few options for a good looking aftermarket head unit. Until now..
A company named Dynavin makes OEM looking head units, but throws in features of an aftermarket stereo. And now... with an Android section to the radio. They had been using Windows, but are testing out Android on it.
I am currently in a waiting list to purchase one, but I was wanting to ask if there is any way someone with knowledge of ROM development could look into this device a little bit. It is built to use as a tablet in the car, but from what I have read on the device, the major complaints seem to be that it is running a ROM that is more phone-focused.
Anyway, if anyone wants to check out the device, the following links are good references:
http://jandtdistributing.com/dynavi...ts/bmw-units-and-accessories/dvn-e46-android/
and for a more detailed description of the unit:

If there is no way to help (I do not know the first thing about development), then it is still an awesome concept that I hope catches on in other companies.
In the e46fanatics forum there's a guy called TXRobd who is a developer from this XDA-developers and is willing to tune the Android. I don't know which is the right place, maybe it has to be this forum, but it would be awesome.

help installing a rom for the first time (galaxy s4 mini)

Recently I've been looking into upgrading from 4.4.2 to at least 5.0 or latest but I rooted my phone so o.t.a no longer works. Rather than fixing that I decided installing it as a rom would be better in my case but I only have relatively basic knowledge of how all that's done and I don't feel like searching around the Internet and ending up with a half baked tutorial that will end up bricking my phone so if anyone knows how to safety do this help would be greatly appreciated thanks.
-phone specs-
Phone: samsung galaxy s4 mini
Android ver: 4.4.2 (modded)
(Don't know what else to put here)
One of the rules of XDA is to not encourage n00b behavior. Since you are posting on this site I will assume that you are a homo sapiens with a brain which carries a relative power of deduction. Everyone starts of somewhere. This isn't a site for guiding you through the steps of how to do one individual task. This is a site where you can learn and ask constructive questions, not ask for a walkthrough.
Now I advise you to use the search bar and discover a bit on your own using your brain. Because although its nice to jump to the end result, were here for the ride.

Chinese Head Unit Actual Android Version?

Quick question with all of these new units claiming Lollipop and Marshmallow...Are they actually Android 5.1 or 6.0 or some hybrid of KitKat? I did a lot of searching and saw one mention of these units all using a KitKat SDK, but not sure what that actually means.
Anyone care to teach a newb?

Diference Between MTCB/(C) and MTCD?

First sorry for my realy Bad english.
I have just a lil question. I am Intrested long time Ago in a Double din Android Car Unit. and from searching i also did see the entries there. (I did just see the Andriod Head units Forum) that was long time ago,
Just today i did see now this MTCB/(C) and MTCD threads. i did read the Hui Fei Type Wiki but just did understand MTCB and MTCC is the same (right?) and it`s all about the microcontroller.
I aslo did see this thread : https://forum.xda-developers.com/android-auto/mtcb-android-head-unit-general/mtcb-vs-mtcd-t3371252
But i didnt get it. from the information from this thread could it be that hardware who is runing - android 4.4.4 is MTCB and hardware what is runing above android 4.4.4 - is MTCD?
thx for you help

Benefits to move from Android 10 to Android 11 on Dasaita MAX6 ?

Hello,
from what i know and please correct me if i'm wrong the differences from Android 9 to 10 have been negligible, but still i'm with Android 10 as its just newer.
Ofc new version new bugs and 'if it works dont touch it' as many say tho with A10 i've never had problems so far.
But since there's the Android 11 HA rom available now what would be the benefits of upgrading my Dasaita MAX6 from the current Android 10 or are there any negatives?
Thank you
None except for bigger number
marchnz i'm like almost sorry i asked.
Any more ideas as to why they may have went for the struggle to release 11?
THANKS
untill there is a version that trully fully works on your headunit with out bugs or at least more than you have now i would suggest to stay on the one you have and is working.
My unit came out with 7.1, and by your answer means that i should have stayed at 7.1 and never ever moved to 8, then 10.
- a version that trully fully works as you say is something quite broad, i'm not sure what it actually even means here for these HUs...
- you say without bugs, but every release has bugs. Yet, 8, 9 and 10 /and now 11/ are released and people have and are moving to them. +there are OTAs + there's Hal9k and Malaysk mods to iron them out further.
- there IS a version 11 exactly for my unit released by Dasaita.
So lets cut it.
The question of the topic is extremely simple and so far the answers dont match it. I decided to start topic about 10 to 11 because I saw there is exactly the same one by another guy about Android 9 to 10. The other one has much sensible answers tho.
With all respect now can we keep the bs trying-to-be-interesting out and like men stick to the point of the question?
Thanks and sry to be blunt.
There are more negatives than positives.
Unless upgrading the version of Android solves a SPECIFIC problem that you are experiencing with your head unit then you should stay on whatever version you currently have. So "fully working" in my opinion means fully working (even that is subjective) with the hardware you have. You can be assured that some key feature will "no longer be supported" with your version of the hardware at some point when updating firmware. In other words, something winds up completely broken if you go to the next version of Android.
These Chinese head unit manufacturers will use certain components which they provide support (albeit limited) for in the provided Android version on your head unit but suddenly not supported in the next Android version. For example, there have been reports here on XDA of bluetooth completely stop working on Dasaita units when going from Android 10 to Android 11.
They remove some key support from the next version of Android to try to make people buy the newest head units. In other words to get the latest version of Android you have to buy the latest head units or stick with what you have.
