Hi all, im having a problem with a LG G3.
When i press power button the phone starts and LG logo appears, you wait 15 seconds and the phone shut down or no image in the screen.
If you try to power on again the phone doesnt turn on, you must to pull battery wait about 10 minutes and try again. I tried to enter download mode but the phone shuts down. I cant do a factory reset, so im stuck.
The battery is ok, I have 2 batteries.
Charge first for 10 min if you cant boot then most likely you have a bad battery( PCB board of battery ) i have mine modded tot work again but dangerous

Hi all,
I can't power my Note II on when its flat and its connected to the charger. I always have to remove the battery and then switch it on and reconnect the device to the charger..? Whilst its connected I can see the battery icon (whilst the phone is off) but its not doing anything just a static image although the phone is charging.
Not sure if anyone else has had a similar problem. Using the Cyanogen 10.2 rom but had the same problem when I was using HD Revolution.

battery charging animations not showing on AOSP/CM/AOSB/AOKP roms,it's known bug,but as you said phone does charge in the background.and to turn on the phone simply unplug the cable and press and HOLD the power button for about 10 seconds and you'll see the samsung note 2 sign(i would do the same as you before i discovered this trick like remove the battery etc)

it's not good to let your phone die down completely on you everytime charge it when there's still some juice left around 10% or so,turning off the phone and charging should be your last resort but ya let me know if holding the power button for around 10 seconds works for you (charger should be unplugged).
Hey, I've gave that a try today as my phone was flat. Worked a treat thanks for the heads up on that. I bought an Otterbox so didn't want to take it all off to disconnect the battery and reconnect it.

A few days ago I decided that I really dont care about Knox and decided to root.
Had just upgrade to 4.4.2.
So, as with Galaxy phones, I went straight to CF-Auto-Root.
As it is known by now, I got the Zebra screen rebooting issue.
No problem, I downloaded a stock firmware to reflash recovery.
The download was taking forever, so I left it to the next day.
As expected the tablet discharged the battery.
Now it wont turn on again.
When plugged in, the Samsung logo (and the battery icon) does not shows up.
Try to charge for a few hours to make sure that there is some battery.
Also trying some combinations of power/vol/pressing/releasing buttons.
Nothing at all.
Found "similiar" problems related to tab 10,1 here: http://androidforums.com/samsung-galaxy-tab-10-1/359231-tab-10-1-will-not-turn.html
Didnt work either.
Samsung assistance here is worhless, so I am better on my own (with xda help).
As the zebra screen keeps rebooting into recovery, I suspect that it does not give a chance for it to really charge/turns on the charger) and this is a simple out of battery issue.
Any ideas?

I tried to update my note 10.1 as well to 4.4.2 And then root it.
I have the same issue. Straight into recovery then zebra screen. And this keeps looping. No way to get into download mode so far.

It seems that it needed to be unplugged for some hours.
After that, when plugged back on it resumed the zebra sequence.
In order to get to the flash screen, power + vol down has to be pressed down exactly when the device reboots, not before. It seems that the boot needs to detect the transition event.
Thats the problem with the timing most people will get.

If you have a usb dongle from the old S2 days that allowed you to get to download mode, it still works on the Note 10.1... Easier than trying to time just right...
Whats this dongle. Or how do I get it?

I've ordered one from ebay. Hopefully it works.
There's no way I can get the timing right to put it into download mode.

Something that works too is holding the power button and just switch the volume down.
I tried with .5s down release and press down for .2s and again hold for .5s until it switch to download mode.
It worked every time.

This worked!! Thanks so much. Worked in the first 10 seconds, lol tried for 30 minutes the other day.
I am not rooted, no custom rom installed. I was just using FACEBOOK and my phone's screen went black but my music was still playing in the background then all of a sudden it vibrated and turned off. Now it won't turn on again! it had 95% batter so I have no idea what the hell happened. It does not respond on my charger, does not turn on or vibrate. I plugged it on my PC and it only shows "MOOREFIELD NO DRIVERS AVAILABLE" help me
Have you tried to get to the bootloader?

How do I do that? I tried long press power button + volume up nothing happens.
If you get no response at all pushing power while holding volume up it sounds to me like it is warranty return time, is there a service center near you?

I can't phone won't respond to volume up + power button it won't do anything. It crapped itself while I was on Facebook. The only thing I can do now is plug it on my PC with the "MOOREFIELD NO DRIVER DETECTED" on my monitor screen.
I am disappointed with the quality with ASUS. I like their PC parts but their smartphones now are utter rubbish. My god
1.Turn off your Zenfone 2
2.Hold Power button + Volume up
3.When the phone is vibrating release power button
4.You can select Normal Boot or recovery Boot by pressingVolume up/volume down. To enter recovery choose recovery mode
5.Then You will see sleep android robot, Press Power button + Volume down, release only volume down button and press volume up button. You'll enter recovery mode
6. Select wipe cache partition by volume down button and press power button
7. It'll take some time
8. Then select system reboot
Its hard bricked (non responsive), not soft bricked. Warranty time

I believe so. This is my second Asus replacement... first one was Zenfone 6 with tons of dead pixels, Can't believe the failure rates of this manufacturer.
Time to get replacement

This is really heart breaking thing I am afraid if I got this situation already had unlocked boot loader and root access
Let us know if they somehow try to fix your device without replacement

yes and when I do I will sell it and go back to Samsung. This is my second replacement... the failure rate of ASUS phones are unbelievable.
Hello XDA wizards.
Today was a sad day. After leaving my Pixel C not used for a couple days, the device is not booting (altough it seems it's powered up). Lights bar is on (all colors) and when double tapped all bars go green.
Holding power button for 15 seconds helped before (reboot) but now it does nothing. PWR, VOL UP + VOL DWN buttons combination and plugging/unplugging charger does not work either.
Any ideas?

Have the same thing happen to mine. But after 10 time trying, it will wake up or restart to normal. Then same thing happens again once it goes to sleep.
I've never had this occurring before I updated to OTA 7.0.
The screen would also get stuck in in a weird way too, as if two window mode was used.
I factory reset it and still same thing. About to call Google when I get home from work today.
Multiple battery drains to 0% and full charge cycles did not help. More information that may help with troubleshooting:
*Magnetic cover was used since the device was bought
*Problem started occurring after a long (week or so) time of not using device (battery drained to 0%, then fully charged. Once device went to sleep I can't "wake it up")
*Locked in landscape mode
*Can't get into any other mode bootloader/download/factory reset
*No "beep" sound (after 30sec) nor notification
Thanks in advance
Does a PC recognize it when plugged in? If so, try the Nexus Root Toolkit to see if that will let you reboot the device.
I know that feel bro.QAQ
Recently, I bought a pixel c two days ago .
I upgrade it to Android 7.0.
After I place it there for a short period of time(1-2minutes),it can't wake up after screen off.
I am going to change a new pixel c from Google store.
Let see will this problem still happen in Android 6.0 or after I have changed a new devices.

I'm sorry for resurrecting this thread but due to the fact that I just got back from deployment I decided to give Pixel C one more chance.

No. PC does not recognize the tablet (tried both Windows & Arch)
More info:
*last flashed ROM Dirty Unicorns 10.0
So after flashing a new 7.0 rom on the phone, I updated it via OTA. When it finished, instead of rebooting the phone, it led to a black screen. I have tried turning it on and opening bootloader/recovery but nothing has worked so far. When I charge the phone the white LED above the screen starts blinking and if I plug the phone to my pc and keep pressing the power button, it connects/disconnects from the PC every 20 seconds, so I know the phone is not completely dead. I don´t know what to do anymore, please help.
Its a hard brick you many of us have done it and for now there is no solution. If you check the other threads someone has claimed they figured out a way to boot in to bootloader to revive the phone I think the website is aryktech or something similar but haven't seen verification. Other than that its a paperweight.

I had that problem on a OnePlus 3t. The battery was so low it would constantly try to boot when you plug it in. I put it on a turbo charger and left it. Eventually the battery got enough where I could get into recovery and boot.
