Hi everyone,
recently i bought brand new LG G4 and i immediately installed LineageOS 14.1 ROM. First day i seen that almost every time that i'm downloading an App from Play Store, download suddenly just stops and hangs for 30 seconds and then continues normally. Same thing happens even in other applications and even with LOS Updater.
I also have problems with 4G/LTE. In Speedtest i get somewhere arround 70Mbit/s and in Play store i get 600kb/s max. Yesterday i had to use USB network tethering and i was able to download normally with 3 - 5 megabytes per second.
I really don't know what problem could be so i hope that anyone here can help me.
Thank you,
TomRel

Here is the issue I am having with my Galaxy Nexus while connected to the wifi / router (2Wire Bell Canada) at home
All happened 3 days ago when I was trying to open the play store and noticed that it stucked on the loading... screen
till it gave the connection timed out error.(Never happened before)
I tried to open the browser and been able to browse light sites..Heavy ones though were taking forever to open and
everything that need " sign in " as hotmail..(from the browser) didn't open at all giving an error of not connected to a network.
I run a speedtest >
Download : 6.2 mbps (I have 7 mbps plan) - Upload (took forever to load) : 0.03 mbps (I have 0.7 mbps plan)
Strange enough that next day I tried the above at work over wifi and all worked smoothly !
Tried over 3G and all worked smoothly as well ... !
Went back home, connected to wifi and same issue.., play store stucked on the loading... screen and all the above.
Note that I didn't change any settings neither on the phone or the router... except few updates for my installed apps.
I cleared data / cache of the play store, fastboot erase cache, changed channels on the router but nothing helped !
I was thinking of factory reset or reflashing ...but since it is working at work and over 3G I don't see the point of doing that...
Any help/suggestion will be appreciated.
Thank you,
i have almost the same issue here, but mine is with additional problems like :
"i experiencing extreme slowdowns
- ui is very smooth for the most part, but some actions just have the phone freeze for 5-20(!) seconds
- several (most) apps keep getting the "is not reacting"-screen, even when i'm not using the device
- this freezing sometimes results in complete lockups of the device, device is running but doesn't react to the power button to turn screen on/off (either at all, or for around 20 seconds).
- just extremely slow wifi connection take me forever to download anything."
thing i did :
factory reset, wipe everything , reset everything , tried different roms (4.1.2 ; 4.2 )
the interesting part is when i'm not connected to a wifi i don't experience these problems ..
thanks if someone reply.
and thanks for letting me use this thread.

I tried many tricks without any success ... I wonder if it is related to the internet speed especially that while using my phone at work (extreme high speed connection) I have no problems at all - But at home with a regular high speed connection I have all the problems : can't open the play store stucked on loading, very slow browsing, network timed out ...etc.
Does anyone tried with a higher speed internet connection ? ... what speed are you getting on your phone when all these problems occured...
Thank you,
One thing that most people don't know about it is wifi channels. I had the same issue with my phone not to long ago. None of my PCs were affected by this, so I checked the WiFi channels been use by my neighbors and I found 3 WiFi signals( including my) using channel 6. This is means trouble so I changed my to channel 11 and problem solved. It doesn't mean you r having the same issue but worth a try. Download a WiFi utility software if you wanna check.

Thanks for your input...I tried that too with no luck ! ...But it is true that sometimes changing channels helps solving such issues.
Hello All,
after debating to find a fix for the issues I was having with my Galaxy Nexus and the Wifi / Router (Bell Canada) - Read issues in the first post.
I called Bell for the 3rd time and I was lucky to talk to a smart agent who told me that the problem is from Bell - They are having issues connecting to the https sites (secure sites) and they are indeed working to solve the problem as soon as possible !
So if Bell Canada is your internet provider and having problems connecting to the play store (which needs access to username/password), slow internet browsing, etc... hopefully everything will get back to normal soon !
Cheers,
Dear all,
I got my new Xperia ZL I love it sooo much. Only one issue: yesterday I used all day the wifi tethering capability, I did not download much, mainly browsing and emailing all day. It worked great!!! However today I updated the software, since I got a notification saying that the new sotware was available. I downloaded it and it installed itself in 24 minutes. Everything still works well except wifi tethering. Anytime I enable tethering, any computer connecting to it after a few seconds gets a blue screen with Driver_IRQL_Not_Less_Or_Equal (I tried 3 different computers). Does anybody experience the same problem? Any hint?
thanks
Alberto

Hi there, this is my first post here.
I recently got a SGH-i747 phone, I believe it's AT&T from the US, I am in New Zealand and using it here with Spark NZ(Telecom), when I first boot the phone, I have full reception, the internet works fine, I can text, make calls, browse the web, but about 30 seconds to a minute later the connection drops to 0 and doesn't load anything.
When I do have signal, it looks as it should and has a 4G symbol.
Running stock 4.4.2, no custom recovery either. It was doing it with 4.3 too, so that's when I decided to update.
I'm at the point where I'll just list this thing for sale and buy a different phone, it's frustrating me a whole lot.
Thanks,
Sam
Edit: The home-screen image is when the internet works

I am in same boat. When I get signal, everything is fine. Every 15-20minutes or so, for about 30 seconds, it is absolutely no signal (black triangle). And from battery screen, it appears, exactly at same interval. Did you get ur problem resolved? IF so, how
It's a known but not so known issue. It has to do with the radio interface layer, and our device maintainer at CM is looking into it.
What works for me is switching to 3G for a while (a few hours and a few reboots or so) then switching back to LTE. The problem should be fixed until you wipe /system for a new ROM.
I have a thread on the Q&A board detailing my frustrations.
Hello,
I got an s4 mini about a month or two ago and I had been having a lot of issues. at first I couldn't send mms (noticed this day 1 with the phone) then later on my bluetooth stopped working. I rooted the phone, this is when i lost bluetooth, then about a week later i got the play store connection error. At the time i was using superbeam and apps from other sources as a work around but then adaway was telling me it couldn't reach any sources and i couldn't navigate past google on the internet. This is when I decided to just update my firmware, this solved my internet and playstore connection problem and even mms was working for the first time!(never checked about bluetooth, still using beam). But I still wanted root access for adaway so i followed this guide to install CWM and CM11.

I was successful and everything is still working well, i can make calls and texts, but for some reason my battery is draining in about half the time it was before, When i look at my locksreen on the bottom most of the time it says "emergency calls only (ROGERS)". Looking at the battery under setting cell standby is right at the top of the list usually at about 34% consumption with 69% time without a signal. So obviously this is where the battery drain is coming from, the weird part is if i go to make a call or send a text or something it picks the signal up as if it had always been there..? I have great cell coverage but the phone is pretending i don't 70% of the time.
does anyone know whats going on with my phone?
Sorry for the long story but I am just looking for some help on this confusing issue, the xd forums seems pretty friendly, please prove me right!
I've recently purchased a Redmi Note 5 Pro and noticed that downloads are taking a long time (like 30sec) to start. And if I use Wifi (using the same SIM from which I use mobile data) it starts within 5 secs. I'm using a 4G Airtel sim and the speed provided by it very fast. It takes time only to start the download but after that the download happens at the normal speed.
Also observed that it takes time to open new pages in State Bank of India app on mobile data, but on Wifi its normal.
What could be the issue? Already cleared cache, data of GPlay services, Playstore.
Can it be due to the reason that I'm on Roaming?
I'm running the stock MiUI.
Thanks a lot in advance!
Found out that the issue was related to Roaming. Insterted a local sim and tried downloading on GPlay. Everything went normal. Now when I insterted my old sim back, then also it's working fine now.
