I flashed a Resurrection Remix ROM from AFH - https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=312968873555001686 however when I flash the ROM in TWRP and proceed to boot it always reboots back to TWRP instead of the actual ROM. I'm on TWRP 2.8.7.0 I've tried other TWRP versions but they all yield the same result. Can anyone help?

I made a factory reset (RESURRECTION REMIX 5.8 N); after this the G4 boot directly the TWRP recovery and now it stucks there.
I try three backups (Imperium and RR N) and I can restore them, but I can only boot the TWRP revocery.
Even when the G4 was off... only recovery.
Andy ideas?
Thanks.
Update:
Meanwhile I flash a stock kdz image with LGUP, after frist boot I flash TWRP and I can restore a image.
Back to normal
But I still wondering how this can be happen and if a faster solution exists exceptr a complete new flash.
Same issue here, but after flashing latest (31/11/2016) CM 14.1 nightly.
Any clues?
What happens when you select reboot and then system in twrp?
Try to reboot once with USB cable connected (just connected to an USB port on your pc) and once without.
I have the same issue after flashing the 01/12/2016 cm 14.1 nightly...
After reboot system in twrp it boots to twrp again
same issue here after flashing the CM14.1_2016/11/30.zip with twrp-3.0.2-1-h815.img
There might be a fix in another Thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=69850731&postcount=1517 and http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=69875343&postcount=4
But in another forum users are reporting issues with the current CM Recovery Image.
waiting for updates...
Hi, I recently flashed an official CyanogenMod 14.1 Nightly. Shortly after that, TWRP Recovery was wiped from my phone (I would boot into recovery mode, the OnePlus logo would be visible for a while and the the screen would go black). I re-flashed TWRP again and then the stock Oxygen Recovery but the same kept happening. I eventually got into a bootloop trying to root my phone so I could use flashfire, so I tried flashing CyanogenMod Recovery. This one booted up perfectly, so I wiped system, data and ADB sideloaded Oxygen OS. I got an error, so I flashed an unofficial nightly via ADB sideload and booted to the system. I tried flashing TWRP again but the same keeps happening. Apparently CyanogenMod doesn't want you using anything other than Cyanogenmod.
Please Help!
UPDATE: I was able to ADB sideload Resurrection Remix (Nougat), but still can't flash TWRP (or any other recovery, or Oxygen OS)
What steps do I take to get out of Recovery Boot loop. Installed CWM, tried to backup, restart into recovery, stuck in loop. Reboots into recovery constantly. Lineage OS, Resurrection Remix 7.1.1 custom ROM . I am able to go to download mode by holding power and volume- but don't know what to download from computer to fix issue. Any advice and links would greatly be appreciated as I'm new to doing these things.
Follow these instructions to go back to rooted stock ROM with TWRP 2.8.5 https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2672393
After that, I would suggest flashing the ROM you are trying to flash. TWRP is recommended over CWM
Good luck!

Which version of TWRP are you flashing? The official 3.0.3 has no issues for me. After flashing TWRP, boot into recovery and then to system.
After the firmware Lineage 18.0 flew recovery, stupidly stopped opening.Flashing through adb recovery img does not give anything, can someone tell me something? Now I can't restore the TWRP backup or flash the custom firmware and Magisk.
I installed the service firmware via the computer and everything worked out.
In my case i boot on fastboot and flashed twrp img without booting into Lineage OS 18.1 and i could install another rom, Lineage OS 18.1 sadly has the bug that deletes TWRP recovery on rom boot, doesn't matter if you install again TWRP recovery
