Hi, I recently flashed an official CyanogenMod 14.1 Nightly. Shortly after that, TWRP Recovery was wiped from my phone (I would boot into recovery mode, the OnePlus logo would be visible for a while and the the screen would go black). I re-flashed TWRP again and then the stock Oxygen Recovery but the same kept happening. I eventually got into a bootloop trying to root my phone so I could use flashfire, so I tried flashing CyanogenMod Recovery. This one booted up perfectly, so I wiped system, data and ADB sideloaded Oxygen OS. I got an error, so I flashed an unofficial nightly via ADB sideload and booted to the system. I tried flashing TWRP again but the same keeps happening. Apparently CyanogenMod doesn't want you using anything other than Cyanogenmod.
Please Help!
UPDATE: I was able to ADB sideload Resurrection Remix (Nougat), but still can't flash TWRP (or any other recovery, or Oxygen OS)

I have a Samsung Galaxy G4 (T-Mobile version). I had a boot loop on Recovery problem with it. I reflashed the recovery a couple of times, TWRP and CM recovery. Neither wants to start up when I try to boot into recovery. (I have tried adb and using the keys.) Usually when I would flash a new kernel it would drop into recovery. When I upgraded to the nightlies, it went into recovery, installed the kernel, and rebooted.
Now I have a CM 13 kernel, but I am missing the proper gapps package.
Is there a way to install the gapps package with heimdall? Is there a trustable twrp app I can sideload? Is there a trick to get gapps to install with adb?
Looking for a useful solution. Thanks!
After flashing twrp using Odin, are you immediately trying to boot into recovery or are you restarting the phone and booting the rom?
So recently i flashed the new cyanogen 14.1 nightly rom but it said their was an update but after i installed it it tried to go into recovery and wouldnt start. I shut it down and it would only go into fastboot mode and show the boot image. after this i downloaded fastboot and adb files and a tool kit and it now boots into the actual rom but still not recovery. so how can i get the recovery to pop up? iv already tried to flash twrp again but it still didnt load. and i even flashed the stock recovery and still wouldnt boot up. if anyone knows a way i can fix my recovery it would help alot. :good:
I have exactly same problem as you k hope it's a problem with the new cyanogenmod 14.1 nightly if not may try to change the kernel? I'm looking around too
Same problem here.... I installed TWRP and Dirty Unicorns on my One Plus 3, but immediately had a host of problems (including home key not working). I then flashed the most recently nightly (cm-14.1-20161119-NIGHTLY-oneplus3.zip). It booted fine, but now I cannot get into recovery. Any attempt to boot into recovery will put me back at the unlock warning screen... The phone is functionally useless at this point, because it doesn't even have gapps on it.
How can I restore this phone to a usable state (i.e., enter recovery to allow flashing of gapps)?
official twrp doesnt work with community builds and cm 14.1. You have to use modified twrp 3.0.2-22. the link can be found easily in official cm 14.1 forum on xda.
[HELP] Get stuck in bootanimation &then only boot to TWRP after upgrade Magisk & TWRP
I have sucessfully rooted my phone but yesterday when i upgraded Magisk from 16.4 to 17.1 and then flashed lasted TWRP, my phone some how corrupted .
After that I tried to flash Factory Image and boot TWRP portable -> Flash ElementalX 2.05 -> Magisk 17.1 -> VerifiedBootSigner-v8 -> Reboot but my phone get stuck in bootanimation about 5 min and then reboot to recovery. Then it will always boot back to recovery when I reboot.
I have searched here but couldn't find any solution.
I tried to flash ElementalX and TWRP only and my phone booting normally. But anytime I flash Magisk it can't.
Please help me, I don't know what to do next, Thank you and sorry for my bad English. :crying:
I had the same issue as well. I think is is due to the latest TWRP update. I was running Magisk 17.1 with no issues, but once I tried installing the latest TWRP build, I was unable to boot. I even tried connecting to my computer and trying to boot using the boot.img from android. I am currently running the official release of android P. I ended up just doing basically a dirty flash of P over what was already installed to reset the bootloader, radio, etc. I'm going to just end up running the previous version of TWRP until the dev releases something that is confirmed to be stable.

What version of TWRP did you use?
After the firmware Lineage 18.0 flew recovery, stupidly stopped opening.Flashing through adb recovery img does not give anything, can someone tell me something? Now I can't restore the TWRP backup or flash the custom firmware and Magisk.
I installed the service firmware via the computer and everything worked out.
In my case i boot on fastboot and flashed twrp img without booting into Lineage OS 18.1 and i could install another rom, Lineage OS 18.1 sadly has the bug that deletes TWRP recovery on rom boot, doesn't matter if you install again TWRP recovery
Hello,
I previously installed LineageOS 17 on my Samsung Galaxy A3 2017 successfuly with this but i needed a clean reinstall. So I wiped everything (except system).
But now I'm not booting on TWRP but on LineageOS, but the loading screen is looping.
So I flashed TWRP again with Odin, which says TWRP is properly flashed. Then I tried with ADB and Fastboot. But nothing worked, always the LineageOS loading screen.
Can't access any recovery mode, just the Download Mode.
I used the exact same programs and files I used before for my successful LineageOS install, so I don't get it.
What should I do ?
Thanks!
install twrp again and make sure the lienage os is the correct version
