OK. I searched and found one thread from 2015 about a note 10.1 2014 SM600 being locked with a pin....
unfortunately it's stale and not answered. I hope the guy got his answer somehow.
My daughters ex connected to his Gmail and set a password on her account. I can see her account, and guest, in the top right of the screen.
As I said, he's her EX.... and now she's not been able to access the tablet for a while now.
Is there a way to clear the account password with ODIN or something? Thanks in advance for your help.
John
Guessing nobody has any ideas then?
SO what's the best way to reset it and wipe it? ODIN the firmware back over?? Guidance appreciated.
thanks.

You can try to factory reset by recovery (all data will be lost).
The thread from 2014 you talked, has a poster saying that his device asked for pin even after stock rom flash. If that is the case then I don't know how it is bypassed.

Hi
So I changed the PIN on my tablet and forgot it. Now I am trying to get in and I cant, I assumed there would be an option to log in with my Google account, but I do not see that option anywhere. There is no forgot password button like most phones for some reason. Is there no option for this at all on this tablet? I've already entered the incorrect PIN 60 times, hoping it would pop up asking me to enter my Google account info but no luck. Is factory resetting the tablet really the only way to get in now??!

Yep. Factory reset is the only option left.

Company owned SM-P605, pin forgotten by employee, I've already tried Odin with stock rom that worked fine (just replaced the Samsung Boot logo with the telco's one) but it is still asking for PIN!
It's not rooted, and I wouldn't want to, how do you FDR with Odin?
Thanks,
P.

I'd better let someone more qualified answer your query but I'm pretty sure your situation can be recovered easily. What happens if you try to reflash the firmware again with the correct settings? These phones are pretty hard to brick!

there probably is SOME way to fix it, i am sure, but the phone does not even boot into recovery.
Mediatek phones are hard to brick, haha
It is PROBABLY going to give a headache in order to find the needed files, flash the stuff again and etc using the proper way, but PROBABLY your phone will relive again. Try rooting and installing Eragon after a full wipe, if that option is available.

This may help.
I was in the same state when I accidentally flashed a the wrong logo.img file. I fixed it by doing a format on flashtool>stock rom>custom recovery>custom rom again!

Hello.
A few weeks ago my wife forgot her pin to unlock phone, there was no other choice than just reset phone to factory settings via stock recovery.
Eveything was nice until phone wanted me to log into the previous google account that was used before erasing everything. My wife dont remember password and login either. She created it while ago just to use the phone.
Ive got no warranty for it as I bought it used.
Is there anyway to bypass that security? Otherwise phone cant be used again.
Thank you.

Whoa, you taught me something new today :good:
It's kind of a shame it's specific to the J2 Prime phone, I wonder if there are other methods for other phones similar to this
There is a method of launching a shortcut to settings via an app installation from otg at time of setup. That works.
Hello everyone,
I'm asking you to help me with bypassing (disabling) Samsung Galaxy A3 2017 lockscreen with no factory data reset. That is not an option, or it is like the LAST resort just not to lose the phone. Problems are piled up. My dad set up a password and forgot it the other day... beautiful...
The phone was not connected to Samsung account & data recovery is not possible because USB Debuging is not enabled. Device is fully functional, except I can't do anything with it because of the lockscreen password.
What are my options? I googled some ****, but I figured, it would be way better to have something from you.
Thank you for your help in advance.

Was it connected to your google account?
i have a Nexus 7 I have not used for some time and I was going to give it to a young grandson. When I started it it reported that the device was locked by FindMyDevice. Because I hadn't used it for some time it has been removed from my Google Account.
I have booted into Recovery and it goes into TWRP (it is unlocked) but when trying a factory reset (or any of the other options) from there it will not permit me to use the Slider within TWRP necessary to action the selected option.
Can anyone kindly advise on how I can factory reset it?
I don't know if this will help but it might be worth the try... or there might be something similar that might work for you.....

Thanks for that . I investigated this and discovered it was designed for Samsung devices and not guaranteed to work with others. As it cost $30 to use it I decided to explore other wiping avenues but thanks for the info.

Easy, run RESTOCK.
Post logs if there is an issue.
