Hello,
I was wondering how I can create a TOT file by reading form the memory of my Nexus 5x, so that I can use it as a backup, re-flashing it back using LGUP
Is there any guide somewhere?
I have some experience with rooting/bootloader/LGUP.
Thank you.
I use lg for several years i never seen anyone can create KDZ or TOT.

Just wondering if anyone knows how to flash AT&T Nitro HD back to stock; other than CWM nandroid backups.
Will the LG Tool work? and where/how we do we find the .kdz files?
I found this ... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1412367&page=1
which flashes Korean .kdz then we're supposed to dd if= some stock Nitro .IMG files.
I suppose its good enugh.
Might anyone know where to find a full .kdz to flash stock AT&T?
Thanks again.
As far i understand, you need to do only one thing, either flash .kdz or the partition images. Someone plz correct me if i am wrong...
If you guys look at the Thrill 3D forum, you will notice there's a lot of explanation on what has to be done to flash kdz file with the LG mobile support tool. I'm gonna try to see if it works the same for our Nitro, as I had the Thrill before this one. I think on the deveoplment thread there is a forum that's lists the official att kdz, I think I have it, if I do I will post it up on my dropbox for you guys. Will have to wait till I get home though....at work

Hey guys,
A lot of people have been hard bricking their device, a lot more than usual, probably because Kit Kat touches the bootloader, so i'm simply asking to you prevent and keep and image of your system dump on your SD card using this tool.
In case of a hard brick, this will allow you to restore your system image and potentially save you big $$$.
This only works if you are already on 4.4
Simply flash this in recovery, save it on internal SD then copy to external SD and keep a copy on your PC
Dropbox link: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/4937149/XDA/N9005_Partial_Sys_Dump_for_debrick.zip
Thanks to ValenteL for modifying this tool to work on our Note 3
Does this work for any Rom?

This can be used on any stock based 4.4 firmware. The rom doesn't matter because the files it copies are core OS files that are found in any rom
This tool just saved a guy that bricked while trying to downgrade from 4.4 to 4.3

Hi!
I'm not sure I understand something. I flashed the file in Recovery, now what? Is there an output file? What is it's name?
Thanks
It should be debrick.img
Tell me if you don't find it

I need a update.zip file and I've Googled and googled and tried VMware ect.
If anyone has a link that would be awesome!

If you need FULL untouched LG then you need to kdz/tot file back.
Hi all,
mt LG Optimous Pro G E988 has been working fine for 6 months,
But over night there was a OTA update, and now my phone is "stuck"
I say stuck because it will boot with the message
"Secure Booting Error"
"Cause: Device Unlock!! So Boot Sucess!!!"
then it goes into my CWM Recovery....
I had rooted with cwm
Here is where I am having the problem. It never fully installed the OTA update, because I had a boot loader installed.
I had tried to wipe everything and do a factory update, but no use.
I also tried using LG Mobile Support Tool to reflash the factory ROM
as per: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=45953380&postcount=1
Yesterday when I tried it, the LG f;lash tool said it was not able to connect to the LG Server
But today the program is saying there is not enough power and may cause a problem.
I have just charged the phone for 9 hrs straight. I don't believe that it's undercharged
Is there a way for me to flash the phone with the original ROM without connecting to LG's server (using their Support Tool)?
Please help.
Thanks
Since you already have CWM installed I hope you have a backup which you can restore. Backup your apps and settings using tools like super backup or titanium. Then reload the JB 4.1.2 kdz from pc. You can look for the steps on xda forums. Once that is done successfully you will loose root. Then try official update via OTA. Or you can try to update via pc tool. Someone already shared the kitkat kdz on xda forums. You can try that too. All the best.

Unfortunately I do not have the backup anymore.
I also tried updating via the LG Mobile Support Tool, which did not work as it gives an error about not being able to connect to the server
I tried the guide from Madmack "[GUIDE] [E980] Fix soft bricks. Flash back to stock using LGFLashTools"
But I have not been able to locate the TOT file for the international E988
I tried to use the one he provided and it did not work (yea I'm desperate to try anything now)
Anyone out there have a TOT file for the international E988?
Or is there a way to crate one from the KDZ files?
please help
thanks
Not sure why you need a tot file. Kdz is fine. Look in xda for guides on loading the kdz file. That is a sure way of unbricking your phone. If it is still bricking after kdz load go jnto stock recovery and clear all caches and reboot. Most guides i have used mention this as an optional step.

Same thing happened to me with the value update. You have no choice but to reflash stock with the lg flash tool. I flashed mine with the telcel flashware but got brave enough before the kitkat update to flash back to att with .tot file .You should be fine once you reflash stock

Here is the link to the tutorial ... http://www.cellrabta.pk/2013/10/how-to-flash-big-kdz-files-optimus-g-gk-g-pro-g2-and-others/.
Note that it is not my own but a tutorial that I used successfully for my phone multiple times.
And here is the link to the XDA forum discussion that has links for the KDZ downloads ... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2438088
Hope this helps.

Hello friends!
I miss my G2 dearly. It's been stuck on the LG Security Error boot screen since I f*cked up the custom recovery installation. I purchased the phone (Sprint LS980) already rooted and running 2faced G3 Rom on TMobile network. But since there was no custom recovery, I tried to install one. Used the wrong file and screwed things up.
I have tried to flash the stock Sprint ZV8 TOT file and I get the "Device Model is different" error.
I tried to flash the stock Tmobile KDZ file and the tool just waits and waits for the phone to connect.
HELP!
Thanks,
Arnel
Did you try the universal DLL, not the sprint one.

I did. Flash Tool crashes.
Is there a specific version of the Flash Tool that I need to pair with the universal dll (LGUP_8974.dll) to prevent the crash?
