Hi All,
I can't have my laptop running Windows 10 see my mi max with MIUI 8 global locked bootloader.
I already tried to follow suggestions installing drivers found here and in en.miui
MIUI Phone Manager does not work naturally...
Anybody succeeded?
Is there a reliable procedure to follow?
Thx for any help!

I have the same problem. I am on Lineage 7.1 with locked BL. PC on win10 can see MIMax in ADB and fastboot also in MiFlash, but not in Windows explorer. Are there any other drivers to install, except those provided by official MI site?
... I describe better, thanks nejcov to mention that. I can't see the mi max in ANY form in windows 10 explorer... I can hear the "Beep" when I link it via USB, but only if I activate USB debug in developer option. If I only activate mtp in USB option - charge only/mtp/ptp - then I can't even see the mi max as USB device....
Ideas? =-O

Hello there. I updated my Zenfone 2 ZE551ML to Android 6 as soon as it came out (download it manually from the official website) and now i am trying to do downgrade without sucess. I tried a bunch of things alredy but none of them works. All that need the ADB/Fastboot i get stuck in "waiting device". I installed the drivers, i rebooted my PC, my phone and soo on. The only thing i didnt tried yet is sideloading the Android 5 room.
I have a Win 10 and i am from Brazil (yes, the one place that the Android 6 updated made almost all the sensors stop working), idk if that changes anything.

I has the same problem as you, try connect your zenfone to the usb ports on the rear panel. Switch different usb ports and check for fastboot devices if it recognize your phone. Zenfones seems to not like all the usb ports, Zen max has this problem, too

I looked everywhere and tried all i could find but my phone wont be recognized in fastboot.
Sideload works though.
Device is recognized as "bootloader device" which seems good, but the fastboot devices gives nothing...
I am on windows 10, tried different drivers, force driver, uninstall and then reinstall with driver verification disabled.
Almost gave up on rooting for this device, never had this much trouble since galaxy S1!
I checked windows updates and got nothing.
Really lost here, anybody have more suggestions?
After looking at other options it seems windows 7 install is the way to go... Really freaking annoying, will try on a vm first. Not really in the mood of doing a second OS just to root the phone lol..

You can install the driver after disabling the driver enforcement..

You can try to live boot Ubuntu on your PC with a USB drive and attempt it with that. I haven't had any issues with adb or fastboot on the newest Ubuntu. It would be worth a shot before downgrading your OS or installing an alternative.

I think this topic has been discussed for several times now, but I did not find a related Thread title regarding this problem.
I did buy the mi 5s from gearbest and want to open my bootloader.
Moreover I did apply my MI-Account for an flash and got it accepted few days ago. My phone is in Dev mode with Usb debugging enabled, linked to my Mi Account and Device Location turned on. I've already tested the location from my desktop and my phone is linked appropriately.
The typical Problem with the MiFlashUnlock-Tool still occurs to me: The Flash fails at 50% with "couldn't verify device"
My desktop is running on Windows 10 with Driver signature disabled, my Phone is recognized by it and is connected to an USB2 Port with the original cable.
What am I missing? Is it possible to install a Global Rom without opening the Bootloader?
Try putting the global rom onto the phone and then use the updater app.Thats what i did and it worked.
you can't unlock bootloader with vendor fake rom, you have to flash the china dev
Inviato dal mio iPad utilizzando Tapatalk
same problem here. i have got china stable rom
Hello
I've redmi note 5 (whyred) with global stable Rom 9.5.13.0
And I tried to unlock it today..
The problem is that miui flash unlock program doesn't recognize the device.
I thought that the Adb driver is not installed ( I've unlocked mi several Xiaomi phones on same laptop before)
So I double checked the driver installation and figured out that then I connect the device on bootloader mode the device manager detects it with no problem (as android bootloader device)
As soon as I open the mi flash unlock tool the device disconnects and disappear from device manager.
Did anyone faced this before?
I have the exact same issue. Spent a lot of time figuring out what to do, even my device was not recognized by the latest Mi unlock 3.3 (rn5 pro india 9.5.13 global stable) because the fastboot kept vanishing.
However, if you use an older version of Mi Unlock (I tried 2.2 and varying versions) it actually did recognize the device but the unlocking only goes to 99% and asks you to wait 360 hours.
I've tried to bypass it using different methods but to no avail. I think Xiaomi has patched everything.
Guess we'll have to wait.

Yes, the phone displays this sentence with small font when it gets disconnected, how did you fix that
This is probably a driver problem. Disable Driver Signature Enforcement in Windows. Open command prompt as admin and type:
bcdedit.exe – set loadoptions DISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS
bcdedit.exe – set TESTSIGNING ON
And run mi unlock tool again

thanks but i solved it with this method https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...nlock-bootloader-or-run-fastboot-cmd.4180389/
Firstly ur phone must be on Stock miui Rom otherwise ur phone will not detecte with pc then use Xaomi flash tool v2 not miui flash tool...first one is different from miui flash tool...with this tool u can boot ur phone in fastboot mode and u can install custom revery and many features.
So I wanted to try out the A12. I really like it, but the ROM makes it unenjoyable. Slow speeds, stutter, lag, delay in actions like: locking the screen, volume control.
I want to ask if I need to do something special to downgrade or I can just simply flash the device? (Wanting to flash Pixel Experience)

Just flash the latest stable release of your MIUI build thru fastboot with miflash and you are set.
Dont attempt to flash anything via TWRP or any other method, or you will brick your phone.
Also, "DO NOT LOCK YOUR BOOTLOADER".
=)
Thank you very much for your help!
I want to also ask why is my MiFlash "flashing" the phone in 0 or 1 second. I know that it does not flash the phone.
Can you help me solve this issue?

Some questions to understand the situation...
Is the usb debugging option enabled in the developer settings of the phone?
Are the phone drivers installed correctly on the pc?
Have you tried to restart the pc after installing miflash and drivers?
Have you tried to start miflash as administrator?
Usb Debugging is enabled
I didn't install any drivers, since I didn't see it was required
The PC has been restarted since, Yes.
I didn't try it yet.

Also try to change the USB port to which you connect the phone to the PC if 2.0 is better.
then you may have other useful information in this guide

I have found out, that the same drivers are also included in Mi Flash, and that you just need to boot Windows with Driver Signature Enforcement disabled to be able to install all the drivers.

Disconnect phone from PC and reboot Fastboot Mode, then re-connect to PC.
This is because, after an initiated Flash, Fastboot Mode may not accept any more input.
Also make sure to not reboot Fastboot Mode while phone is already connected to PC. You need to connect after you rebooted Fastboot.
This sounds weird, but you can also try using a different PC. Mi Flash is stubborn.
You can also try putting the ROM-folder directly to C:/.
Mi Flash doesn't like spaces in folder-names, and although you don't have any spaces I would still do it... Mi Flash's errors are unpredictable.
And yeah, like RollDload said, try using a different USB port
or try this: https://www.droidwin.com/unbrick-poco-f3/
this was te only way to get my F3 back.
