Hello there. I updated my Zenfone 2 ZE551ML to Android 6 as soon as it came out (download it manually from the official website) and now i am trying to do downgrade without sucess. I tried a bunch of things alredy but none of them works. All that need the ADB/Fastboot i get stuck in "waiting device". I installed the drivers, i rebooted my PC, my phone and soo on. The only thing i didnt tried yet is sideloading the Android 5 room.
I have a Win 10 and i am from Brazil (yes, the one place that the Android 6 updated made almost all the sensors stop working), idk if that changes anything.

I has the same problem as you, try connect your zenfone to the usb ports on the rear panel. Switch different usb ports and check for fastboot devices if it recognize your phone. Zenfones seems to not like all the usb ports, Zen max has this problem, too

I have a idea to clean up any problems you might be having. In my tool folder there is a program called rsdlite install it and then connect the device in bootloader / fastboot mode. Then it will show up in rsd lite. next select the XML file in the folder and flash the watch to factory. See if this fixes the problems

in device manager you will see update devices click it then click manually install. next look at both compatible and uncompatible drivers until you find the motorola drivers. then pick one if it works good and if not then try a different one.
Some times i have to install them manually like this. also make sure usb debugging is turned on on the moto 360 watch. the computer will not see it without this step.

Are you sure you are connecting the cable to the correct 4 pins on the watch? This can be confusing because if you flip it over to connect the cable the connections flip also.

No more USB after Root??
I was able to unlock the BL and Root my Moto 360 with your tool, thank you very much for the "easy way"!! My concern is that now I cannot reconnect via USB. I have even made 2 more connectors and nothing, not even the USB connection sound. Is this a normal side effect? or did I screw it up? I'm leaning on user error because I was pulling the connector off the watch before unplugging it from the computer and it zapped, shut down the PC and rebooted the watch. Watch seems to be fine, no noticeable issues after it rebooted. So I dunno...

I'll report back with how it goes.
I tried to flash latest 10L firmware, but I always get the messages Problem with communication between cell phone and PC. I did everything as instructed, selected Normal flash, but it won't work. I installed needed drivers, but when I reboot to Downloading mode, there is Exclamation sign in device manager. What could be the problem?
Did you change the port to com41?
Also are you using windows 8? If you are you need to disable signature verification.
I don't know how to change port to com41. I am using Windows 7.

It's in the guide that you said you followed. Open your device manager in windows and right click on the lg device that shows up. Next hut advanced and change the port to com41 and then click ok.
I did that, and it still shows the same message.

Please state the exact link to the guide you're using, your phone model number and windows version.
Thanks for responding.

Bump.
Did you install the latest LG drivers for your phone? I don't know why this didn't occur to me earlier but that plays a big part in the PC seeing your phone.
Yes, I have driver. PC Suite works, everything works, but Flash tool doesn't.

Could this be connected with bump twrp. Maybe it is blocking this somehow.

You've got to boot into download mode and then use the LG FLash Tool 2014. There's one error stating there is an error with a connection, just ignore it and watch your phone screen! If it tells you stuff like the current version and the version it is about to install, just let it sit and wait till it reboots automatically.
The reason I am saying is because you say "Problem with communication between cell phone and PC" and it looks like the error that is supposed to show up.
Could you please re-do the process, maybe re-install the LG drivers and use LG FLash Tool again. If you encounter any error either make a screenshot or type the EXACT error message in here.
Good luck
I solved the problem.

For all who is experiencing the same thing problem is in 64bit OS but it is not a rule. People reported that they were succesfully flashed their devices on win7 x64. If you want to be sure use x86 windows and it should be working.
So about a week ago I rooted my zenfone 2. Ive NEVER rooted a device before so I though it would be cool.
A few days after I had rooted my phone it requested to update. I updated my device and since then it has been stuck on the bootloader. I've tried doing factory resets and everything I could think of. I have looked up guides on how to flash it but none seem to help. I tried doing the adb or w/e it is but for some reason my computer doesn't read my device anymore so when i go to look up device via adb device non can be found. Any help would be grateful. I am new to this and its a really bad experience so far. Mostly my fault. Anyways any help would be great. Thanks in advance. Asus zenfone 2 ze551ml
Note i have downloaded the usb drivers from asus. which are zip files. Not exactly sure how to install, and my phone doesnt get picked up by my computer. (ive tried using different usb ports.)

Thanks a lot for reply! I did everything it said and worked. Thank you so much! the intel driver you linked me finally got my computer to read my phone. That was probably my main problem.
So here's the thing: I've just gotten hands on my G4, and I've been sitting here for 6 HOURS straight trying to root it, so I could install TWRP and then install CM13. But it's being F***** IMPOSSIBLE, I've tried loads of guides and tools and all I've got so far was a soft brick (which I managed to fix after a hard reset) and a big headache. Also, is there anyway I could root it on Android 6.0? Because when I tried to root it earlier I had to download this 1.4GB file that would literally take 10 hours to download. NOPE. Either I root it on Android 6.0 or anyone links me someplace else to download it, or it's not gonna happen. So anyway, any good sould would PLEASE explain me step by step how to do this? I used to mod phones a lot back in 2014 but it's been a while since I did it. My G4 is the H815.

Still nothing, tried all my usb ports
I FIGURED IT OUT: I needed to disable windows 10 driver signature, I did this by clicking on the windows icon, holding shift and pressing restart. Then going into troubleshoot, startup and pressing the 7 key, BOOM, got the fastboot oem device-id command working. Now when I try to unlock the bootloader it says that the LGH815P is not supported? NO WAY
First, I wanna say sorry for if this is in the wrong spot, first time poster here.
Ok I have a S7 and I wanted to try to install lineage OS on it. I think I messed up because it will not get off the lineage os boot screen. So then I tried to restore a backup I created with TWRP using TWRP and that failed, so now the phone is stuck on the Galaxy S7 powered by android screen and I kew I have to use odin to flash firm. I got my official firm, but no matter how many times I install samsung usb drivers or samsung kies, Odin does not detect my phone... I tried installing the drivers with the phone in, then without, then without again and restarted the PC, nothing. Then I installed Kies with the phone not plugged in, restarted, Odin still cant detect phone. Its my only phone, please help. If I go to google about this I just get told to download drivers which I clearly stated I have. I even tried 3 different USB cords, yet I know the one I am using should work because I transferred data to and from the phone before!!!!
Thanks so much if I can get help... my only phone (((

Instead of Kies, install Samsung Smart Switch on your PC which will install the latest Samsung drivers:
Smart Switch | Apps & Services | Samsung Canada
Simple data transfers. Secure backups. Smart Switch is the app that moves content to your new Samsung Galaxy from your old device, whether it's an Android device or not.
www.samsung.com
Then you need to restart in download mode (Odin mode) in order to flash the ROM.
THAT WORKED!!! YOU ARE A LIFE SAVER!!! The phone is now detected by odin, and currently fleshing official firmware!!! Thank you so much!!! I even went to samsungs drivers download site and that didn't work. I forgot about Smart Switch. Thank you again, I honestly appreciate you!
