I have been using the modified TWRP version 3.0.2-1 since OOS beta 7 (now I am on the latest Nougat stable build).
I have noticed that TWRP takes too long to open and remains stuck on the main screen. Is there a newer version of TWRP that supports flashing the latest builds? Do we even need modified TWRP now for flashing?

I used latest official twrp 3.0.3.0 (https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3/development/recovery-official-twrp-oneplus-3-t3539129) flashing 4.0.1->4.0.2.
I have root and encryption and twrp can unlock the encryption.

When I've succesfully installed twrp 3.2.1 or 3.1.1, the phone stuck in boot logo while recovery mode loading and than reboot again. But when I've installed twrp 3.0.2 there is no problem on entering twrp menu. Version 3.2.1 and 3.1.1 does not compatible with Z551ML?
I'm using Android 5 (Lolipop) by the way...
Found the problem. 3.1.1 and upper versions works with only android 6 bootloader. I've another question than... Is there any way to retun original recovery mode from TWRP?
I've upgraded my phone to android 6 and than flash twrp 3.2.1 again but I got same result.

It is available on Twrp's official website, and I have it on my z551ml. It is works fine with lineage 14.1.
So I unlocked the bootloader, flashed custom recovery - twrp-3.2.1-2 - and clean (wipe everyting) flashed lastest stable Oxygen OS (5.0.4). Then restarted the phone to recovery again flashed Magisk Beta(16.3). After than flash reboot to system but twrp is opening again. Same thing with Super SU.. Please help.
You should boot up your phone first and then flash Magisk. Also, in these cases I suggest using the latest stable build instead of a beta.
Did you boot up the OOS 5.0.4 first or just rebooted straight to recovery?

At least /system and /data. You could try dirty flashing without Magisk but if it's not working factory reset and do it properly
Also you really should use blu spark twrp instead official one

As people replied:
Using codeworkx or blue spark twrp and using stable magisk 16.0 may be safest path.
Let us know how you manage.
I would say: fastboot flash codeworkx or blue spark and clean factory reset install full 5.0.4 and go from there to flash magisk 16.0
I just flashed the latest Official Twrp from their original site and their changelog specifies that the decryption problem is solved but it still can't decrypt data on latest miui global beta ROM. I'm on 9.4.18 and i have to use orangefox recovery & why official twrp isn't supporting decryption, it still asks for password & fails.

If you're getting decryption error in some custom recovery than use orangefox recovery, it definitely works...
I'm flashing TWRP version from official TWRP website for poco F3. Successfully flash temporary and make it permanent using flash this TWRP version.
Boot up to stock miui (im not flashing custom rom yet), work fine. I want to flash magisk, but TWRP wong detect storage or the magisk zip. Anyone can help?
Official TWRP doesn't support Android 12's Encryption yet, that's why /data partition appears empty.
You need to use unofficial TWRP "skkk": https://dl.akr-developers.com/?dir=skkk/TWRP/A12

What TWRP you have !
Sounds like your recovery is built for a different android version. Sometimes android updates make changes to the encryption process - this happened with A12 release, but not A13 - so if your recovery decrypts using the A11 method it will fail even with the correct pass.
You can either find a recovery built for your android version (look for A12 or A11 in the filename), or disable your lockscreen pass on your ROM which should get your current recovery working again. Don't forget to protect your lockscreen again when you are done!
