I have just purchased today a Pixel XL and i would like to root it and flash a custom rom. Are there any issues with daydream Vr?
I'm running stock rom but rooted and Daydream works fine. You do need to get the daydresm app from the playstore. I don't know about custom roms.
Worked fine on WETA. I haven't tried it on Pure yet.

Got a Note 8 (I467) for xmas, and while it's nice to play with, I really want a custom rom for it.
Does anyone one if cyanogenmod or any other custom option is available.

If you have AT&T variant then we have nothing, not even 4.2.2 or an unlocked bootloader. It's frustrating, but it is what it is. If you are looking for custom ROMs, look at a wifi only version or a different device.

As far as I can tell, we don't have any custom roms for the AT&T i467. The best we can do is root and a deodexed stock rom.
Root:

Deodexed Stock Rom:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2569865
Read everything carefully and don't apply the OTA CAMF2 update if you want to flash the deodexed stock rom.
Hope this helps. Good luck.
I think I'm going to start looking at this. ?
Hello, I've recently bought a LG G3 Korean model F400s . I successfully rooted, install recovery and then went for the latest build of xposed modules.
So, now that I have some "freedom", is it possible to flash an European .kdz on my device?I say European because they are similar on specs apart from the extra ram for the Korean model.
It could also be an US .kdz if it's working...anything but Korean. I would like stock .kdz in any case.
I'm willing to try anything really and not afraid to brick it.
Hi,
No, you can't flash a EU KDZ on your device.
I'll recommended to find a custom Rom suitable for your device.
I think Cloudy had an specific Rom suitable for your device.
Regards
Thanks for your reply. Could you recommend a Rom based on stock heavily. A stock Rom?
CloudyG3, SlickROM, XtraLite
Is it possible to flash one of these and then into it so that I can use my banking app?

Apologies, what I meant was can any of the above mentioned roms be installed and then can the rom be unrooted.
The reason I cant have a rooted rom is because my banking app that I regularly use won't run on a rooted device.
I have an F400s and rom updates are few and far between. Their are some niggles with the current official LG rom such as problems with dropped calls, but because it's an F400s I can't exactly ring LG and complain because the phone is an import.
I'd like to run a custom rom that has decent support but I need to be unrooted for my banking app.

Did you try to use Root Cloak to hide root from your banking app?
Otherwise, if you flash the non-rooted ROM you lose root again..
I read some threads a while ago which suggested that the Barclays Mobile Banking rom originally worked with Root Cloak but then didn't answer never versions of the banking app were released.
I might try flashing another Rom and try Root Cloak for myself, but to be honest I don't 'need' root these days to be honest.
Out of the roms mentioned above, is there one in particular which you would recommend?
CloudyG3 is probably the best when starting off as it's the least modified.
SlickROM is the smallest in size so is probably the most optimized.
Though, if you don't care about the camera, BlissPop or Resurrection Remix offer the most customisability & performance..
Thank you for your advice.
Typical though, the thread I'm reading through at the moment isn't one that's on your list. What do you think of XtraLite?
....Under their feature list I'm trying to find out what the 'LTE / 4G Mod' is.
I haven't used it myself..

That doesn't inspire me to use it then. You obviously know a lot more about the current roms than I do hence I'll probably go with Cloudy.
I've rooted and used custom roms from the G1 right up to getting my Nexus 4 but it's just not something I've down with my G3 F400s but I feel like I should having had it for a year now.
Which rom are you running at the moment?

I think it would be safer to flash Cloudy first, as either XtraLite or SlickROM need a 20P ROM to be flashed first. Can't remember which one tho.
The only downside with Cloudy is that you have to flash the CTT mod after, as its are not built in...
I flashed Cloudy on mine, only received it a week ago via Aliexpress, and it's going great, but will probably try both XtraLite & SlickROM in the next few weeks to check the differences
Happy flashing
I flashed both XtraLite & SlickROM, and must say I prefer XtraLite.
The DPI fits better
Been lurking a bit, just got my new N7 2013 wifi tablet. Bootloader unlocked. Unrooted
. I am a Nexus 6 owner since pre-order. I really enjoy the full stock Google experience with only root and twrp recovery. Stock rom/kernel is really amazing since the Marshmallow update.
I am looking for
1. pure stock 6.0.0 marshmallow kernel just rootable, I don't care for a modified Uber kernel. No over clocking, no multi window, no bells and whistles. Just want the original rootable.
2. Nexus 6 marshmallow stock launcher, basically I want my phone and tablet to behave exactly and look exactly the same. The tablet version on the N7 is old horizontal lollipop style.. do not like. Really don't care to use a custom launcher. Much prefer the stock N6 launcher ported to the N7 but with landscape home screen rotation like usual.
Thanks

To anyone who comes across this i found the launcher issue resolved by simply installing the newest Google Now Launcher from the play store. Now my Nexus 7 looks and behaves the same as my Nexus 6. Not sure why the Now launcher wasn't included in the 6.0 Google factory image for the N7 because it was on the N6.
Still looking for an unmolested stock 6.0 kernel with only root modification. Thanks

Hi,
Google now was never in factory image for N7, don´t know why...
You can find stock kernel here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/supersu/wip-android-6-0-marshmellow-t3219344
then flash SuperSu 2.52 via TWRP
http://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/supersu/2014-09-02-supersu-v2-05-t2868133
Looking for a flashable M919UVUFOH3 stock rooted rom
Unless I can just upgrade and root it myself without needing a special kernel?
I rooted with king root and installed lollipop ROM with no issues.
Didn't use anything other then king root

i tried several. first was dirty unicorn (they still seem like the best an being familiar with it from s3)
then i tried radium 1.5 because dirty unicorn had issues with social apps....
then i flashed ressureraction remix due to radium home button being broken after flash (unable to go home with home button)
this has been my main rom.. though the update brought sim card issues (10/20/2015) the first one was a off date (3 updates ago) which was running amazing (though i have battery issues.) i also flash the saber kernel from i9505 fourms.
jfltexx works with jfltetmo... just stating this.
I am running the stock rom on my galaxy note II N7100. I wanted to try the blackberry apps on my note II. which Mod should I go for. Did anyone else tried the same? will I require root? Should I go for a pre rooted Mod? I guess the Mod has to be on Lollipop for the Blackberry apps to work, Please suggest.
Yes michea1angel0, for running blackberry apps minimum requirement is lollipop and for installing lollipop your device should be rooted. Once your device is rooted, try installing lollipop using
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-2/orig-development/cyanogenmod-12-alpha-1-n7100-t2949644
Once lollipop installed, try installing blackberry apps from

Thanks sandro2511, i will definately try that. Did u have any personal experience with the mod. Is it stable and pre-rooted?
