Anyone know where I can purchase a SIM card tray for a Google pixel? I called Google and they said they do not have them available nor have they ever sold them. Also I cannot find anywhere online that has them. So any help from anyone would be much appreciated. Thank you
I saw many trays on amazon.

How does this help him? Most sim trays aren't compatible with other phones..... It is a long shot, but I would compare a pixel sim tray and one of HTC newer phones and pray it is the same. I couldn't find any sim trays online either. Try to contact ubreakifix to see if they have/or could get one. I know they replace the rear housing.
I just contacted ubreakifix in my area as suggested by Google support. Its not something they stock normally but they special ordered one for me for the low low cost of $100. Should be able to get a refurbished unit for around this cost if i was able to get insurance with the phone. I'll have to put this one on a string so this doesn't happen again.
Walk into a carrier store and pop one out of a demo? That's all I can think of. Just don't get caught. Lol. Probably not the best idea.

Seriously?!?!?! That is highway robbery for a sim tray. How can they justify such an amount? I guess they know you need it, so they up charge. I would contact google support again and tell them about the highway robbery.
Thought about doing this. I know many retailers are privy to this and lock the trays in. My other idea was purchasing outright from Amazon or best buy removing the tray and returning the phone.

When I talked to them I was very passive aggressive in letting them know how stupid it is that there is no place to replace such an easily losable part. At first they told me there was nothing I could do except only use phone on wifi. When I called bull**** he claimed he was going to make a note to someone higher up and respond to me in 2 days. But of course this never happened.
$100 for a sim tray? That'd make the phone worth about 200k. Find a bricked one on eBay and offer the guy 5 bucks for the tray?
And the answer is...
I'm in need of a Sim tray for a pixel xl, any info on this subject? I want to walk into a store and take a chance but I'm a scaredy cat. 100 has to be a joke right? Any info would be great

Was bored so i did a bit of searching. It would appear that both the pixel and pixel xl have the same Sim tray. (All listings for parts show same Sim tray model numbers for both)

If it's legit that's certainly a whole lot cheaper than a hundred dollars.

the sim card u can get for free by going into any tmobil store and asking for the wifi calling simcard which they owe u, so thats a easy one to get! Actually the earbuds are really nice too bad u lost those!! Just buy a third party charger if u have tooooooo
Phones don't come with sim cards. you need to buy one from your specific carrier. Especially if it was unlocked.
and yeas, the phone comes with manuals, earphones and spare earbuds and a usb cable with AC adapter.
If you don't have that in your box, the phone was been tampered with. Try and return it if that doesnt work, then make the the seller gets a crappy reputation

What is that and do they really owe it to you? That sounds like wishful thinking. Can anyone else confirm this? Sorry if you're correct but I don't often trust the word "free", although they should provide a sim for free since you're so kind to sign up with their service no?

Well I went back and read the ad and indeed it comes with what it said it would so I won't bad mouth him, but what do you suppose the phone had been tampered with for? It does seem new (enough).
Just go in and say u were never given the wifi calling simcard when u got ur phone! Ur gonna need it for the wifi calling ota on nov 14th! They are giving that new sim card for free but i dont know how to prove to them that u bought the phone from a shop to get it?
Good ol' ebay.....
This is the reason why it needs to be obsolete. Id be super pissed at what was received, but then again, I don't use ebay cause of this type of tactic.
The 6 I tried all came with sim cards, so id say they come with them (I kept them too). It also comes with a $25 media hub credit (card says $10, but its really $25).

Actually both SGS2 I got and also my G2X, G2, Vibrant, all came with a sim cards. Not sure why your phones didn't.
As to OP, I would contact seller and let them know what's missing and that if they don't ship you what's missing you will leave a bad feedback.
Most sellers don't want a bad feedback and are willing to help out, unless of course you already left a feedback.
That's the reason I don't buy my phones online, I go to the store (tmobile, Walmart, etc) and double check all it's there because you never know.

sounds like you got sold his old one because the seller got himself a new replacement thru mail with some kind of scam which is usually the phone by itself so he needed to keep the charger, ear buds and manual for himself or either to resell it later.. As to the sim card the seller probably already activated it when he bought the phone so of course he couldn't send it to you but you could always go into a tmobile store and ask for a new sim card they give them for free only thing they might ask is your account/phone number to make sure you're with tmobile.

Any phone you buy here from the carrier that you're using always comes with a new sim card if they use it unless if by some reason the in store rep took it away like so many people have said either to keep for themselves or to keep for the store stock only phones I've seen that dont come with a sim is when you purchase an unlocked version online.

High fees, scams committed by buyer protection when the buyers lie. The hold policy is also a burden. Fake products too.

ebay has its good and bad it really just depends on the buyer to make sure they read carefully on what it is that they're purchasing but in this case the seller listed it as "brand new" which should mean that it was in its sealed original box with all its content unless it was an open box display item then it should have been listed as "like new" but like you say its really his own fault for not carefully reading the description of the item before hitting that purchase button.
According to FedEx i will be receiving my (2nd) Galaxy Nexus. The first one i had a friend make me an interesting offer to buy it from me. So i sold it. Now im finally getting my second one. Here's to hoping that the screen isn't covered in lines and banding. The first GN i purchased i had it sent to my work address. Being that im off today i made sure it was shipped to my home, anyone have any idea what time FedEx delivers to residential? I have an odd address location (Court Way aka alley) and want to be ready for the arrival. Thanks!
When they deliver depends on the route in your area.
Here at work, they deliver at 9AM, my house they deliver around 11AM but at my old house they delivered in the afternoon.
Received my GN about an hour ago. Called Negri for a replacement/refund as the SIM card is not being read :-(

Nvm. Looks like "sb25offkhk" works for $25 off the titanium silver model.
Also on another note, the coupon "GIFT" works for $30 off the pre-order of the white version, but won't work on the black version... interesting.
I confirmed in the "Swapping Sim between HTC One & iPhone 5" thread that it shouldn't be a problem using an iPhone 5 nano sim (with adapter) in the HTC One. Little did I realize that the real problem would be buying an HTC One from Verizon.
I purchased a full retail One online, with in-store pickup, thinking the Verizon store would just hand me the phone. Big mistake. After almost 2 hours, I left a trail of confused sales reps and managers. The idea of me just using the sim from my iPhone simply blew their minds. I was met with a series of reasons why it wouldn't work. The primary reason they gave was activation. They said they HAD to use the sim in the One to activate before I left the store, and that this would burn my iPhone 5 sim. This finally became an insurmountable argument, and I gave up. They would not just hand me the phone. It almost seemed like they weren't familiar with the relatively new in-store pickup option. I almost got the idea they should have just given it to me, but they were just trying to do what they were used to doing.
It simply amazes me how hard I've tried today to give Verizon $599, without success. Shouldn't it be possible to purchase full retail online or in-store, and be handed the phone without the Verizon employees insisting on fondling it first? If I purchase full retail online with home delivery, wouldn't I just be able to put in my iPhone 5 sim and go on with my life? How the hell can I get a full retail HTC One from Verizon at a local store, while keeping / not burning my iPhone 5 sim??
See if they'd just give you another new nano sim for "spare" and let the activate the one. Go home...login to vzw and switch device to "spare" nano Sim. Profit.

When mine came Friday I just took the sim card out of my DNA and popped it into the One and everything worked fine.
Didn't even have to call to activate, it activated itself. Went on my vzw and it showed the One with my number and the DNA was gone.

I told the rep that I've done it between my thunderbolt and rezound, to which he persisted that I would have my service canceled. I ended up saying that maybe customers knew what they were talking about occasionally and left the store in a hasty manor. After that I called up vzw and had them ship me a phone, got the overnight charge waved and it has taken 4 days to get the phone. I bought a mini to full sim adapter so I can still use my rezound running 4.3 when I want my custom rom fix.
You should be able to. I have an iPhone 5 and I did the SIM swap. It auto activates on startup. On both the iPhone and the One. That store was totally BS'ing you.
At some stores, I tell them I'm a developer and I just need the phone and they just hand it to me and I pay.
I bought my One doing the same thing you did. Online, but in store pickup. Salesperson happily gave it to me. Heck, he was thrilled when I said I don't need any help/activation cause he had a long line of other customers to get to.

That's a BS from Best Buy Cellular Department - they will ALWAYS try ANYTHING to "activate" something.
I got the same crap at Best Buy, even when I told the BB personnel that the N7 have an UNLOCKED version. He said nope. So in front of him, I pulled my laptop, BOUGHT the N7 unlocked for store picked up. Showed to him, and LOUDLY told him what I did in front of other customer.
The look at his face - priceless...
PS: I am using the N7 LTE with T-Mobile SIM card. The SIM card was bought directly from T-Mobile website when they were selling it for $0.99.

Thank you! I thought it was kinda funny when it didnt say anything at all about activation on the websites checkout. Before we came to that step she asked me if I wanted to buy a case for it. The guy she asked fr help looked at something on a a monitor and said that this versiong had an att chip. I said "But its unlocked." She said that the register wouldnt let her go any further. I told her would just go back home and order it from there. She said that was probably a good idea.

I had a little trouble with getting my N7 too. They kept asking me if I wanted to sign onto a plan, and I had to keep reminding them that the N7 LTE is an unlocked device. After hassling and almost 30 minutes bypassing some BS about activation, from the associate. I was able to get it. AFAIK, there is a way to get it, without having to activate a plan.
Just order from Bestbuy.com and choose store pick-up.
BB get commission for each activation, just like non-corporate cellphone stores, so they'll say anything to get you to sign-up.
And BB is wondering why they are losing against online retailer...
I must have been lucky. I didn't have to deal with the hard sell when I bought mine. T-Mobile? Why bother with it? Just get the UNLOCKED N7 LTE. This is the SAME ONE as the ones sold by Google from Google Play. It's unlocked - SIM and bootloader.
I did as advised and I am happy. I purchased online and went back to the same store 65 miles away. I know that crazy but i am off this weekend and want to play with it. No muss , no fuss. In and out. Then drove back to my town and had it activated. Of course tmobile has an over sell too. They said they are adding a 2.5 gb plan for the first month for free and then i can cancel. So I figured yea what the hell I have enough sense to cancel a plan. Thats what calendars are for. Plus the one day wait allowed me to cath it on sale for 319. So maybe I broke even on the gas. Thanks for the great advice!

I haven't heard of one coming unlocked from the factory, but it's very easy to unlock it yourself. You can use WugFresh Nexus Root Toolkit, or as I do it, use "fastboot oem unlock" from a command line (once you have fastboot downloaded and the proper drivers installed).
Note that unlocking wipes all user data...

How did that work? I bought my Note 3 on Swappa, and after it was blocked, T-Mobile basically told me to go suck a duck. They wouldn't give me any info, except to tell me what I already knew (that the phone was blocked). They wouldn't tell me how much was owed either.
But please tell us what you said. There are many people who have been scammed and would like to be able to get their device unblocked.

I went through something very similar, except Swappa, not Craigslist. Is the phone just blocked for non-payment of EIP, or is it reported stolen and blacklisted? That might affect your options.
You have a couple of choices, none of which are ideal.
1. Sell the phone on Ebay for a loss. If you sell it internationally, you might be better off since non-US buyers wouldn't care about it being blocked on T-Mobile.
2. Do what I did. Unlock the device (use Chainfire or something similar) and go to another carrier. I ended up going to Straight Talk (AT&T). All in all, it cost me about $10 to unlock and buy the SIM card. I lost my favorite T-Mobile plan, and now pay more for less data (I cry silently each night), but at least your phone will be usable again.
Hope that helps.
Sorry if I am a noob about this but can someone share some light what is happening exactly? I don't want to fall in this category.
People sell their phones to the customer (via Craigslist or Swappa) and the seller does not pay it off which causes T-Mobile to blacklist them?
Try use region unlock that might help you

I think there has been at least one instance in which the phone seemed to have been reported as lost or stolen via insurance. That's based on a phone which was supposedly not on EIP being blacklisted by Tmo. Can't find the thread right now, so that's based entirely on vague recollection.

Sorry if I am a noob about this but can someone share some light what is happening exactly? I don't want to fall in this category.
People sell their phones to the customer (via Craigslist or Swappa) and the seller does not pay it off which causes T-Mobile to blacklist them?

Pretty much. Most likely these people are getting their T-mo service cut off for non-payment and since the phone still has a balance, the IMEI gets blacklisted. Shady seller sells it anyway. Poor buyer gets home, finds out its blocked, and has very little recourse especially if it was a CL deal. People also frequently steal phones and try to sell them as well. I work as a phone tester for a popular "sell us your phone!" service that has commercials all over TV right now, and I see TONS of stolen phones. I open the package, turn it on, see the "you have entered the wrong pin too many times, phone locked" screen, and then the ESN/IMEI comes up blacklisted.
Bottom line- people are terrible and will think nothing of scamming you if they can make a quick buck. Trust no one. I won't buy high-end electronics anywhere but a brick & mortar store or a reputable online dealer who guarantees their products. Saving a couple hundred bucks is not worth the risk of getting scammed.
T-mobile has the best customer-service I've ever talked to. On the phone that is

Right answer = lies
Im not sure if its the right place to say this.
My N3 was paid off
what I told them was I bought this phone off my girlfriend who wanted to stick with an iphone.
And while she changed back to her iphone there must have been a mistake which blocked the phone.
and after about an hour they said they would review this and call me back... but never got a call back.
So I called back a week later and talked to another person and asked about my phone's status and she told it was not blocked anymore.
Hope that helps.

Sounds so easy. I am assuming you bought the N3 used from a woman at least?
Was actually a guy.
everything was good and was easy to contact but after i bought it he turned off the phone and never heard from him again.
And yea it was craigslist I bought it from.

So you basically called T Mobile up and explained you bought this from your girlfriend and get angry and after splitting up black listed the phone or to that effect?
I had an issue like this with my note 3, i purchased it back around October 15 off swappa, then 2 months and about 3 days later my phone stopped working, i looked up the imei and it said it was stolen, conveniently just 3 days too late to file a claim with paypal, I called up tmobile, told them I purchased the phone used, and the date i had started using the phone on their service and said it was now saying it was stolen more than 2 months after this and the person told me they were going to unblock the phone for me, and it would take about 24 hours, it actually took closer to 48 hours but they did unblock it and I've had no problems since.
this is why you do trades at a t-mobile store to verify that it works.

That only helps if you are SURE to ask the rep to verify nothing is owed........a simple imei scan just states that at the moment it's not flagged. ....had this happen. ..met seller at tmobile. ..rep scanned said it was good to go....literally as I started to hand the money to the dude he mentioned that he owed $500 but had arranged to make payments and that no way he would let his credit get messed up because of it.....I said..."can't do it" and ended up just getting a brand new one from tmobile the next day......glad to not have to deal with the nightmare....

Oh yeah and the rep had to look up more info to see that money was owed......the guy had left tmobile but his billing hadn't cycled yet so to anyone checking it all seemed legit....be careful guys....even to this day I see Craigslist postings and when you ask if they will meet at store to confirm no money owed...no response. ....use that as a litmus test if you must dabble
you can ask the t mob rep to check it. they arent restricted at doing that with the owner there, you just have to be polite and get the right person.

What I'm trying to point out is that generally the question is whether the imei is clean.....the "Yes" answer is not a guarantee at all....it may take tmobile 30 days to realize non - payment before it gets flagged....just make sure to also ask whether all handset fees have been payed off as well as imei status.
well basically this is what happens in craigslist, and very rarely on ebay,....
Someone sells there phone, then they report is lost or stolen, then they probably receive another at a cost of $150 pr $175 for a replacement phone.
If you buy this on ebay, call ebay up a tell them to look at the seller of this phone, they will see that it was sold by the seller claiming this imei is in good standards, they should reimburse you... or paypal....
in craigslist you can make sure you print out the add, keep it in a safe place, so when they sell you the phone and you get scammed, try going to the police and let them know you purchased this, they can probably trace everything back to the seller, and probably arrest them, if they claim a good imei and then they have reported it stolen. to receive another phone from the insurance company.
because when someone reports it stolen and does an insurance job, they have to usually get a police report number, then they have to give Assurance or Assurant (insurance company for the cell phones) the police report number then the insurance company... now if they falsified information to the police they can get in trouble. this will really work for the people that sell there phone to do an insurance job. they sell their phone, call the insurance company and get another one.
