Which chip store the Bootloader and the WinCE ?

Dear XDA Developers #... and all other experts,
I had a T-Mobile MDA and I'm affraid that my bootloader had problem with all the buttons. The bootloader V5.15 boots and show GSM OK but none of the action buttons working ? Any Clue ?
Is the Intel #3204C 32MB Flash Memory chip store the bootloader and the WinCE because I had some technical guys who be able to clone the chips using some clonning machine.
Please advice as my MDA had been down for 2 weeks.

I would guess you have a hardware problem with the buttons.

I did flashed with SD Card 2 weeks ago. Using the XDArit (old ver) and with O2 3.14.13 Rom. I did many restored but everytime it said restored completed but checksum not correct.
I did managed to see the O2 boot screen ( Blue O2) showig 3.14 at the right bottom of the screen but not be able to load the WinCE.
Is there a limit or counter that say number of times SD card restored ?
You think is hardware problem, any solution ? If you think where the fault is, maybe I be able to ask a Technical guy to open the MDA and repair it.
It is not possible to find any T-Mobile support around Asia.
Any respond would be much gratefull

Question: how big was the SD card you flashed with? (It has to be 64 MB minimum if you back up OS and bootloader at the same time.)
I would use XDArit to write an SD card (32 MB card is ok) that contains only the WinCE (OS) part, and try to flash from it. If your card is somehow corrupted, you can use XDArit to read from the OS from the Special Edition nbf-file inside Jeff's exe-file, which you can extract if you open the exe-file with WinZip.

They actually built such a mechanism for bootloader 5.17, but gave up on it (maybe after is was cracked by us?). But this really does not apply to you as you probably do not have this bootloader (or you would not have been able to make a backup).

Bootloader doesn't kick start to restore ?
I am using a 128MB SD Card.
Now even I wrote the SD Card with the new SER 1.1 .nbf files and insert the SD card into the XDA, Bootloader boots up but it doen't show the screen that say press action buttons to start restore ? It only show Wallaby Bootloader v 5.15 and freeze....
I am afraid that the bootloader on the XDA might be corrupted as well. Any tips or solution for these problem.
I remember reading in this forum saying that the XDA be able to lock all buttons accept the Power button. Seems like my case, the Power buttons, soft reset and hard reset buttons working only, the rest are not functioning. The XDA are still be able to charge on the craddle and the power worn off quite fast. Sometimes I even be able to see the Phone Cancel Buttons ( Red one ), the red light are always on...
Any help would be much grateful

You used XDArit to write the card, right?
You need to describe in much greater detail what you do for me or anyone to be able to help you.

I'm having a T-Mobile MDA in 3.13.12 GER ( 09/16/02) Radio T310
Bootloader v 5.15 and trying to flash O2 3.14.13 Eng Rom :
1. Using bootloader backup Boot+CE to SD Card.
2. Using XDArit (old ver) Read SD and store to PC ( WinXP )
3. Run RSU-eng of O2 Ireland, sucessfully upgrade, GSM no problem.
4. Run RUU-eng of O2 Ireland, Rom Image not found, error 007.
( forget to patch the NK_wallaby31413wwe_o2Full.nbf )
5. Decided to use XDArit (old ver ) to write Boot+CE ( O2 3.14.13).
6. Insert SD Card into MDA, flash restore compeleted but said checksum not correct
( Repeat many times of writing using XDArit (old ver), sometimes CE only but still checksum not correct )
7. Few occation, manage to see the O2 boot screen showing 3.14 but freeze
8. Left the MDA for few days and try the writing using XDArit again
9. Now soft boots, Bootloader boots show GSM OK, but none of the contact, calender and volume buttons work. If there is a SD card in the MDA, bootloader boots show v 5.15 but not be able to read SD Card.
( some of my posting are on Rom Upgrade forum under suajw)
Just to let you know all the about was done before the release of your SER v1.0 and v1.1 and the new version of XDArit v1.02
The MDA still be able to charge the power but will discharge if leave over night.
Any help will be much gratefull

InitDebugSerial can load bootloader+CE ?

If i boot the bootloader in a serial port from a PC using Hyper Terminal, do you think i be able to load the Bootloader+CE from a SD Card using the comand :
c2r ( from your Wallaby Bootloader Page )

Notes : have not try using serial port to talk to the XDA

Try hooking up the XDA to the serial com and it still not be able to communicate with XDA, even ? <enter> doesn't show any respond.
What could be the problem ?
By the way Peter Poelman, which is the chip that store the Bootloader+WinCE, I might need to ask someone to clon the chip for me from another XDA.

Can't speak for anyone else, but to be honest, I have no idea what your problem could be. It's something odd, and looking at the steps you performed, my first guess would be that it could be hardware related.
Did you try a different SD-card? 64MB or bigger (when doing BOOT+CE, 32 MB or bigger for CE)? A different SD-card reader/writer?
The fact that it first reported checksum error and now doesn't read the card at all is funny. Suppose there's nothing wrong with the bootloader that's in there, but that you have some weird hardware problem that messes up communication with the hardware-buttons and with the SD.
Once you tried a different SD-card: maybe open it up and clean the SD-card contacts? (And don't come complaining if you end up breaking it further, it's just an idea...)
Either way: I spent some time thinking about it and replying to your posts. Until new facts surface, I really have no clue what to do in your case, and unless I happen to come accross the same problem again, chances are I will not have a clue two days, two weeks or two months from now. Sorry....
Maybe you can have it repaired?

Tried with new SD Card and also clean up the contacts of the SD reader, still not be able to work????
Another thing I notice my MDA, when I boots in Bootloader Mode, after the GSM OK, the 'Phone Hangs Up' button always lighten up RED, is this normal. Is you XDA the same when in bootloader mode. The battery gets drain off easily, is it because the WinCE is not there as well????

Flashing bootloader with jtag?

Do you think flashing the bootloader using jtag might solve my MDA problem ?
in your //xda-developers/jtag page you mention a patch do be download here.... I don't see the link to download the patches.

Impossible Conect to Active Sync

Hello,
I have a problem with my HTC touch pro 2. it's impossible to conect with active sync.
I run on XP.
I try different cable.
I reinsal active sync 4.5 without sucess.
I hard reset the phone too. ( no restriction with the other service, the phone recognize my provider )
The phone is a AT&T phone . the phone provider is " Base ,Jim Mobile " Belgium.
I try with two sim card
In the first sim card : when i try a " data connection " : " dialed : cannot connect for an unknow reason
For the second , in the com manager, when i try a " data connection " to On : answering modem has disconnected... and when i clik on settings it's possible to change but i have a windows with " there is a problem connecting to the gprs service registered home network "
I just want to have a connection to hard-spl flash . with a FR rom.

If someone know how i can load the hardspl and an FR rom without active sync ( with a sd card for exemple )

I would say try another computer, try another USB port...
You need ActiveSync. You can undo HSPL and flash ROM's via the SD card... but to do the initial HSPL, you need to do it thru USB RUU.

I try on a laptop and it's the same... i connect a HTC tytn2 and it's work immediately.
i found some problem of configuration if you look after " AT&T " network configuration problem ...but no real solution with my problem
I try the bootloader mode but it's on " serial mode " no " usb mode " ( with the cable or not )
informations on bootloader :
security unlocked
RHOD100 32 M
SPL - 085 Olinex
( that last information mean that it's already unlocked and hard spl done ... i didn't know it but doesn't resolve the problem )
i try without sim card ...
when i try to put " data connection " on " . it's ask " network log on " " user , password and domain "
when i check thoses informations on my htc Tytn2 . it's no needed and it's connect correctly.

I flash the htc with a rom fr , i use the sd card method.
i have the fr rom , great. but still not connect with active sync

Maybe you have a bad USB port on the phone. I had one that would charge, but would not transmit data.

Is it possible that the problem coming from my pc ? because this phone is near from new ( some hours of utilisation )

You were already told to try another computer. If you have not followed the suggestions already provided, then there is nothing more we can do to help you.

Ok people, I've sorted it out ... Lucky me - no faulty usb port on HD2, no faulty cable, and, no faulty HD2 ... I've flashed a different radio from sd card, and also rom, and now - connectivity with my pc is - never better ... Even ActiveSync is working like it hasn't been in 6 months, hahahhhh ... Point is - it was my pc punishing me for playing with it's registry, few nights before ... I was really confused, cause HD7 had excellent connectivity with my pc, but HD2 really bad, so I really thought there was something wrong with my beloved HD2 ... Than, I remembered I've messed with my registry the other night, and deleting some non-existing pocket pc paths in it... So, I repaired my windows on pc, and now everything works like a charm .... What can I say - curiosity can have very high price, sometimes .... But - fortunately I'm lucky, as it gets

huawei g8 rio-l01 stuck in run mode:factory

(first sorry for my bad english)
i got a g8 rio-l01 with a few problem ( no imei , no sn , no wifi and bt mac adresse) all this problem was solved using the hcu tool
but the biggest problem is the phone boot in a factory mode ,i can see this in the projectmenu>veneer informaton>other info>run mode: factory
so in this mode :
1-i have no shortcut panel and notification panel when i slide from up to down nothing come
2-no signial or network conection
3-in the first home page in the phone i have MMIs app/software upgrade/MMI/projectmenu/MMIa,
in the second one i have runningtest3
in the last one basic android app
4-i can't use keyboard
so i have trayed i think all huawei g8 firmware and nothing change
trayed with DC phoenix methode (the two methode) and same problem
trayed with the original soft (RIO-L01_M105_Board Software_general_Android 5.1_EMUI 3.1_05021TJY) and no change
trayed with l02 ,l03 ,tl00 ,slim6 and cm13 and the problem persist
bootloader and frp are unlocked ,sim too with hcu and phone rooted
if i remove appfac from user data and reboot the keyboard Appears and other app Appears but the phone stay in factory mode with no upper pannel and no network signial
i can use wifi and bt
in fastboot getvar pruduct give msm8916 (it's normal??? the phone is an msm8936)
i think there is a currupted or a missing file or partition
i have all factory flash file
bootloaderimage: huawei_msimage.mbn, MPRG8936.mbn (i don't know how tu use this two files)
fastbootimage: boot.img, ,cache.img ,cust.img ,emmc_appsboot.mbn ,erecovery.img ,frp.img ,fs_image.tar.gz.mbn.img ,gpt_both0.bin ,hyp.mbn ,log.img ,misc.mbn ,modem_st1.mbn ,modem_st2.mbn ,NON-HLOS.bin ,oeminfo.mbn , persist.img ,recovery.img ,rpm.mbn ,sbl1.mbn ,system.img ,tz.mbn,userdata.img ( and all crc file )

So after many test ( and break and unbreak the soft many times) by editing prop and conf files, i noticed that the ro.runmode is the command controling the boot mode.
But i don't know were is this command and if it's possibol:
- To force ro.runmode=normal?
- Or any solution to by pass runningtest3 app or to fake the result?

Finally the phone is fully dead ?
After many flash factory, stock and custom i decided to find the way to enter to hs-usb 9008 mode and i find,by flashing the phone with cherry honor 4 rom. And the phone rebooted in 9008 mode, than flashed the ddr and the msm8936 file with zte tool. The msm will not finish and the phone reboot in fastboot (with red, green,blue screen) than reflashed factory rom with dc unlocker the phone rebooted normal but with the same problem that i have in the first.
Second try, flashed with cherry, entred 9008 mode,reflashed with zte tool (by error used a bad msm8936 file from lenovo)
And the phone stop working not detected and black screen
Third try, desassemled the phone, removed battery find test point after many risky test,the phone boot again in 9008 mode.
Reflashed with zte tool, enter red green blue fastboot, and decided to reflash all the factory with fastboot flashall méthode to unbrick an msm8916. Fastboot finish with many failed.
The phone rebooted but black screen and blinking led with continus (red,blue, green), not detected in pc, trayed with test point and nothing
I think it's fully dead now

i a have the same prolem but i cant find "the service rom" too, my phone is stuck in mode 9008 i tried to do the rom by myself but witouth any succes.... i read in a post that i cant try to put the "Huawei_Honor_Cherry_L04_V100R001C900B150_India_4.4.4_EMUI_3.0_05021SLQ" who has the same structure but cannot flash phone said "bootloaderimage" fail

test point are in the left/right side of the display connector, you can use a small wire to short it

still having the same problem, no solution, try to resoldering emmc, processor, voltage are ok, everything works in other board, so the problem is still the **** mode 9800 and the vanished "service rom" (not trully vanished but every service that i call to fix this ask me for a lot of money just to fix 1 phone... not worth it..) hope somebody can explain this at least, and why is happening, maybe one day can recovery my data on thtat phone....

Lost IMEI Vernee Apollo MT6797

I accidently completely wiped and bricked the phone when trying to update the recovery through SP Flash Tool.
Now there isn't any IMEI and have tried fixing it with the following but still comes up with invalid IMEI:
SN Writer
IMEI&SN Writer
Chamelephon
Openening Engineering Mode doesn't have any option for CDS to re-write the IMEI.
I have the original two numbers as well.

I managed to write the IMEI with *#6813#
Any idea why calls go straight to message bank when calling this phone?
I am unable to call out from it either.

im having this issue, says invalid imei, dont know what i done, probably wiped it, i had mados oreo but had so much trouble with it i wrote stock rom back, no im still getting invalid imei and cant call out or recieve calls...in about phone it says cellular network disconected, i sees my service provider and i have full signal

Help with bootloader

[Some background]I had already unlocked bootloader and flashed a ROM,but due a power surge my mother board become dead took it to service center the replaced it,now that I'm trying to unlock my bootloader it is not unloking,I'm on stock zui(nougat).
I didn't remember my earlier serial number and after mobo replacement my IMEI no. changed so I downloaded unlock file on the serial number which was in my phone(it also matched with adb devices command),but there was error,so I downloaded one more unlock file from the serial number behind my device(after replacement there was a sticker on the back of phone which had the new imei and a serial number ,so i thought maybe this works)but it agin failed so what might be the issue here?I have done this before and I am pretty sure I am doing it right(I read the guide before the procedure).Please help or suggest something,I really hate ZUI.
