Hello guys,
I am experiencing problems with data. I don't receive any signal most of the time since the last update (Nougat).
I am completely stock and I bought my OP3 at O2 but I have different service providers (giffgaff and Orange).
I used to experience some problems with data but not as much as now.
Maybe it is worth to say that I have done the update with a German VPN because it was only available in Germany at the time I did the update.
Thanks by advance,
Thomas.

I recently got an imate PDA2k from my dad...and I absolutely love this thing! It came unlocked and after doing a lot of reading on here, I found out that the ROM was an older version......so I upgraded to the latest one available from clubimate's site.....v1.40 with the 1.12 radio ROM.
Although it seems to be working better today, initially I had a lot of problems with the phone side of the BA....not enough signal bars in places where I usually used to get decent strength....and in my old Nokia 6600, we could use the GPRS from Tmobile to surf on WAP sites. Sorry if this sounds dumb but can I not do that with the BA using the Tzones? or do I HAVE to have the internet plan to be able to even go to the WAP sites? The other problem is that my GPRS never connects...only very very infrequently, and even then, like mentioned earlier, I can't do any surfing.....
I also am desperately looking for any operator specific settings for Tmobile USA which might help the BA work more efficiently.
Lastly, will upgrading my Radio ROM to the 1.13 version help improve my signal strength/reception?
Appreciate any help/suggestions.

Not sure about the signal strength, but it improves the call quality

anybody???
I'm in thane.... using Airtel. Have had no issues with network reception with the Uni. Have u accidently set the phone band to PCS 1900?
If one switches to PCS 1900 then the handset will never search for Netwrok. There could b issue with the internal antenna.Search the forum, how to fix the antena for better reception or go to the nearest service center to fix the issue.
Me too, using JASJAR on Airtel more than a year...no such serious issues
I am also using Universal on Airtel Network without anyproblems.
Hi, check out my experience, I think you are suffering the same thing I did:

The best way is to get a complete GSM antenna like I did.
Best regards!
Hi,
just wanted to know how the connectivity is with other defy's. I don't know if connectivity is the right word. I often lose connection with my defy. Then i only can make emergency calls. When I'm at work i have no connection. A co- worker have a xperia, he has connection.
I'm in Germany and my Provider is o2. Before i had T-mobile Germany with the same Problem. My co- worker has o2 too.
I think it was better before i flashed a custom rom
I have a Vodafone Sure Signal femtocell device, which connects to my broadband and provides a localised 3G signal in my house, as network reception here is poor.
I have 2 other phones connected to the SS just fine, but the One X is intermittently losing the connection and needs a reboot to re-connect. There have been some other posts on the Vodafone UK forums from folks with a One X, not many but enough to make me wonder if there's a more common problem.
Does anyone else here have a Sure Signal, and if so, are you having any problems with it?
I don't personally have it but my friend does and he is getting drops constantly he is not best pleased as he had yellow spot issue aswell aha i think he's going to thro the OX off the wall shortly. He has phoned regarding this and got nowhere
Thanks for the reply. VF have contacted me after I posted on their eforums, I've raised a ticket and they're investigating. I'll report back if anything improves.
VF UK are really pushing the One X, so if there is a problem, I imagine they'll want to get it fixed.
do the vodafone handsets have vodafone firmware? i have a factory unlocked non branded unit I'm using on vodafone with SS and hab=ve had zero problems!
Thanks for the reply. I got mine from dialaphone and it's pure stock WWE. It's working now, but still a little flakey. If it loses connection to the SS, I turn airplane mode off and on again and it works again (quicker than a reboot).
Most of the One X users with problems on the VF forum have their old number on a new sim card, which apparently can cause the Sure Signal to bug out a bit until the new sim is registered. Mine is a brand new number though. It's lasting a day or so before I have any issues.
The SS has always been a little on the flakey side, though, I need to reset it every so often - but that's been weeks or months apart rather than days.
I have one of the older models with 4 lights, not sure if that makes a difference.
Half wondering if it's the phone not the SS, but will see how it goes for the next few days.
I have had very poor suresignal performance...and have swapped out one phone already after speaking to HTC.
But have found that by turning off WIFI, it seems to be a lot happier, and the replacement phone acts just the same as the first (sim free from CPW)
But without WIFI, all data comes out of your data plan, and not from your broadband even thought the SS uses the broadband connection.
I never got to the bottom of my sure signal problems with this phone until I installed cyanogenmod.
However I recently installed sense 5 and my phone would again not connect to my sure signal. I have gone back to cyanogenmod and the problem still exisits.
Can someone who uses a sure signal please tell me which radio you are using by going to settings, about phone, baseband version
Many thanks
Afternoon all,
I have had my one plus 3 for over a year and no issues also been on talk mobile during that time and again no real issues other than having to occasionally reset the 3g connection.
Not sure whether it relates to talkmobile or the one plus 3 but since the Oxygen update last week my Internet keeps dropping out all the time and will not reconnect I've tried the *#*#41.... Trick and put it on to GSM auto mode but this has only helped a little bit.
Is this a know bug of the update or am I better pursuing talkmobile? I fear they won't have a clue in terms of answers
Regards
