Stronger vibration on Nougat (stock kernel, no xposed) - OnePlus 3 Questions & Answers

I'm using OP3 with Nougat and was wondering if there's an option to increase vibration strength on stock kernel, without xposed?

I'm looking for that too, did you find something?

Unfortunately didn't find anything, now running custom kernel and there's an option to change that using kernel manager application.

[Q] 3C Toolbox on ElementalX + ViperOneM8

Hello all,
I'm looking for any users of 3C Toolbox (Pro) that would be running ViperOneM8 ROM and ElementalX Kernel.
A user reported it's not compatible, however I received (in the past) feedback that it does. If you are using this app, can you tell me if you're experiencing any issues?
Thanks.
PS: I don't want to post OT on the ROM or Kernel threads so I posted this question here instead, hopefully it's ok.
I'll reply myself, the app works just fine, and both on stock kernel and ElementalX. The app was compared to Venom Tweaks and Kernel Tuner. While I had no doubt Venom Tweaks is ok, I was surprised at how Kernel Tuner had very annoying UI behavior on stock kernel moving things around constantly LOL.

[Q] CM12 Lollipop with AGNi kernel ok?

I'm about to install and try out the 5.0 ROM; but was wondering if it will be a problem to run the AGNi kernel with it? I'm also under the assumption that the AGNi kernel is a bit more efficient than the stock 5.0 kernel, or am I wrong? I want it mostly for the DAC improvements. Thanks.
You should check in the topic for the ROM whether it is compatible with AGNI or not. It depends on the ROM, for example I use cm12 and the AGNI used to work, but it doesn't atm.
If you have AGNI kernel you can change different settings, for example you can overclock your cpu, so the phone should run faster, I don't know about any DAC improvements though.

[ASK] kernel compatibility with ROMs

Hi everyone, i have t705 here, installed the selamba rom, which is based on official marshmallow, just tweaked, and rooted. Previously, i used the CM13 for t705.
My CM life was twice better, and more customizable, in terms of Kernel... But the sound level was bad for me, also the GPS. So I decided to try the stock, which IS fully working.
My question, if i want to install the customizable kernel of CM13 using this stock-based ROM, will my tab able to boot properly, and still having the working GPS and proper sound configuration?
Thanks a lot
Sadly no mm custom kernel if you want one down load code and build one.

Whick kernel? stock or custom?

I'm getting ready to install the January update with magisk. I have been using the stock kernel all along. Was wondering if you guys had sounds better performance and or battery life with any one of these custom kernels. I don't care really about features, just performance and stability.
What would you recommend?
I've subscribed as I'm about to try the Flash kernel. I will be curious to see what others say.

If you're only in it for performance and stability then you should probably just stay on the stock kernel. Most kernel devs readily admit the kernel is exceedingly efficient and they can only make tiny incremental improvements in battery life. That and any Google security fixes are built into the stock kernel so you will have them right away. Custom kernels are regularly updated to include the security fixes that come in the stock kernel. What a custom kernel will give you is much more control over many aspects such as color control, battery monitoring, gesture control, vibration, etc. I've been using EX Kernel with the additional Kernel Manager (EXKM) and couldn't be happier with the results, and continual dev support on the last 4 devices I've owned. The kernel resides in boot.img so you already have modified that if you are running Magisk so it's easy to revert. To remove the kernel, simply reflash the stock boot.img and it will be gone.

[Q] Can one customize the stock build?

I've been using custom ROMs for a long time and I really admire the work of the developers. But I'm running stock and somethings just work better for me, like Magisk. There are only a couple of things from custom ROMs that I miss, like arrow keys on nav bar when typing, a centered clock, and the reboot menu. Does anyone know of any add-ons I can use to gain these features and still be on the stock ROM vs a custom ROM? Thanks.

Have you checked the Theme, Mods section ?
You can use substratum or magisk modules to customize your stock rom
