I am trying to flash custom ROMs for my Redmi 1s using mediatek 6582. I have tried different ROMs like Resurrection Remix and CyanogenMod 12 and 13 but they all give me the same error:
Getting Installation aborted
(Status 7)
ApplyParsePerms: lsetfilecon of /system/lost+found to ubject_r:system_file:s0 failed: Operation not supported on transport endpoint
set_metadata_recursive: some changes failed
error executing updater binary in zip
I tried different versions of TWRP and CWM but they still give that same error. I've looked into the Updater-Script file but didn't see anything related to /system/lost+found.
Please help me with this error.
I think the roms that are here are for the Redmi 1s Qualcomm and not Mediatek. Not sure if there is a Redmi 1s that uses Mediatek chip.

Redmi 1s China has 3 versions and I'm using the version that has Mediatek chip. I've been looking for MT6582 ROMs but the results are still the same.

It's Redmi 1S ,too!
But it's TD-LTE , not C/W version.(Just for China.)
TD-LTE version's kernel have not be released.
I think it will not be released, too.
So...Don't make a day dream...

Maybe fake version or for China market.
I found before Xiaomi Mi3 have SD card slot, the international version don't have SD card support.Only 16gb built-in memory.

Yes it's Redmi 1s with mediatek processor for China only with TD-LTE support which is not in Redmi 1s SD400 version also called as Redmi 1s 4g device. As far as mediatek didn't release any kernel source for any of the device, so there is no chance for any custom ROM/Kernel for devices based on mediatek, cause it is not developer friendly.
Sorry for inconvenience but there is no support for Redmi 1s 4g device. Only for the 3g version.

Using fastboot and adb
Can't you just use fastboot and adb for flashing TWRP and then you are done?
All you need in that case is to be able to install ADB and Fastboot on your computer, download TWRP for Redmi 1s, enable USB debugging on your phone, connect it to computer, reboot to fastboot mode, flash TWRP. Then you can install whatever ROM you want.
This is at least how I did it on my redmi 1s. Is your somehow different that this won't work?
Our Redmi 1S TD use mediatek chipset, not snapdragon. I didnt try your method
Sorry for bad english
Cant really figure it out and couldnt see anything specific on the box either.
Use CPU-Z or similar apps. I hope they will show you what you wanted to see.
Just use CPU-Z.
But, this is not a very necessary information.
Just install the roms to Redmi 7 Onclite and you fine.
In the cpu z the my device show just "ONC".
If your device is Redmi 7 your device codename is onc/onclite and if your device is Redmi Y3 its onc

So basically you are saying it can be either "onc" or even "onclite", any one of these can be referred as device codename. Doesnt matter whether its onc or onclite, both are same.
Or full name with slash "onc/onclite"
Please answer properly...

I want to say the device codename can be both onc or onclite
so i just bought the phone 3 days ago, the 2/16 version of it. just came back to xiaomi after 2 years (i used redmi 3 "land" and "ido", both of them back then). the phone memory is full on the second day because of MIUI's bloatware and i never satisfied with MIUI, so i'm looking for custom rom for my current phone. but, i have no idea what my device codename is. i "googled" for a whole day and still not sure about it yet.
from what i learned :
- every site i found on google said "redmi 7 is Onclite", "redmi Y3 is ONC".
- a guy in this forum (https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-7/help/differences-onc-onclite-t3940538) said, "redmi 7 is ONCLITE and redmi 3 is ONC".
- and a guy here (https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-7/how-to/how-phone-onclite-onc-t3972527) said "But, this is not a very necessary information. Just install the roms to Redmi 7 Onclite and you fine. In the cpu z the my device show just 'ONC'.".
-i also ran "fastboot getvar product" in minimal ADB cmd, and it shows ONC, but my box is "Redmi 7".
this is confusing, and also very different from what i know about redmi 3 "land" and "ido" because the difference in both phone is in it's box (redmi 3s for "land" and 3 pro for "ido"), but from what i learned here is either ONC or ONCLITE can be redmi 7.
one final question, can i flash ONCLITE roms in my phone that says ONC? i'm looking for AOSP based rom for my phone, like AOSPExtended, RessurectionRemix, PixelExperience, Etc. but i can't find any for ONC, only for ONCLITE
thanks in advance.
To answer your question in short, you can flash custom roms from both onc and onclite. And for your confusion Redmi 7's codename is onc/onclite and that of Redmi Y3 is onc. So this is it ig

4th flash Magisk
5th flash the zip to stop force encryption
6th all done reboot to system
Hi.
I have Redmi 7 2gb/32gb
I think that it is ONClite
Coz whenever i try to flash ONC custom roms it gives an error "this rom is for ONC devices. This is ONClite"
As you told that some site says that redmi y3 is ONC and redmi 7 is ONClite, I think that that's the fact.
Also
You said that all the custom roms you found are just for ONClite?
Where'd you find them? Only rom I found for ONClite was just AOSP extended.
Can you please give me the link for those roms

idk what you mean by "core"
best rom is RRos
yes, both ginkgo and willow are diferant in fw
you can't install miui or custom rom based on miui on both (those roms have fw)
but other custom rom are unified (work on both and don't have fw)
as long as you avoid flashing miui and fw you will be fine

Nethunter shall not work in latest Android releases due to enhanced security.
you can try it out yourself. There is a page which teaches us about adding support as nethunter is just a package flashed above a ROM, nothing more. The problem will be to get features working.
