LineageOS for Redmi HM 1W

I have a RedMi phablet with the model number "HM W1". Is there a LineageOS ROM that I can use with my HM W1?
On the LineageOS download site, there is a ROM for RedMi 1S.
Will this work on my RedMI "HM W1"? I really want to make sure as I don't want to brick my phone!

So you have a Xiaomi Redmi HM Note 1W (aka Redmi Note 3G WCDMA)...

Which is the most stable baseband for 1W?
I need to restart the phone 3-5 times to get 3G connection

I don't think Redmi 1S rom is universal to Redmi HM 1W, because chipset for HM 1W and 1S are MT6589 and Snapdragon 400 respectively. I am using a Chinese version of HM 1W(Model number: HM 1W in Settings→About phone) as metronome. MIUI version is JHBMIBL31.0.

Redmi Note 5 AI (China) with Global ROM installed

Hello there, my brother just got a Redmi Note 5 China 6GB/64GB variant. It has a chinese box and has bootloader unlocked already with a Global ROM installed. Is this normal? Or should i ask him to return the device?

some Malaysia variant of Redmi Note 5 Pro comes with have 1.40um AI camera but without the word "AI"...

I think I have similar phone as well, mine version is 9.5.5.0 and before I try flashing 9.5.13 I want 9.5.5.0 on standby in case if things go wrong.
Which version is yours come with?

Same 9.5.5.0 version installed, with OTA update to 9.5.13.0 available.

I am not getting OTA either, I have Lang set to English-UK and region - India
the reason for Region India is because if I set to region UK i dont get Face Unlock feature thats why.
The battery management is just excellent thats why I am lil worries abt not going onto 9.5.13 and want to keep 9.5.5.0 as standby before I update

But here in India latest software update we got is 9.2.13 (based on nougat 7.1.1)

You can set region to Indonesia and update it, then set it back to India. I'm on 9.5.13, getting screen on time of about 9-10 hours on light use and 7-8 on moderate use.

Redmi Note 5 pro and Redmi Note 5 AI are same mobile. Only difference is Redmi Note 5 AI got different camera setup.
Don't know the reason why Xiaomi is not pushing Oreo update to Indian (India region) users officially...

They are not.
RN 5 China and Global have bigger pixels 1.4um camera with f 1.9 lens, India called Pro has pixel size 1.2. and f 2.2. The camera is significant better and the AI works almost like a gimble. Amazing for the price.

Thats what i said... Redmi Note 5 AI got better camera compared to Redmi Note 5 pro.. other than that everything is same

Redmi Note 5 Pro is the name for India market, because we have another model named Redmi Note 5 (Redmi 5 Plus)
Redmi Note 5 AI is for China market and global market(with global ROM)
Redmi Note 5 Pro Redmi Note 5 AI code named as WHYRED
wherease Redmi Note 5(india market) and Redmi 5 Plus (global and china market) code named as VINCE

Confusion about all the Note 5 variants

Hello,
I'm new to the Xiaomi community and I recently ordered the
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Dual camera 4GB/64GB version.
I understand that there's the Xiaomi redmi note 5 3/4GB 64/128GB single camera version;
Xiaomi redmi note 5 Pro 4/6GB 64/128GB version;
Xiaomi redmi note 5 Dual AI 4/6GB 64/128GB version.
The thing that really confuses me, is the Dual camera version the same as the Pro?
I couldn't find the Pro version on most stores and the specs seem to be quite similar.
Will I be able to install the same ROM's on the Dual version that are meant for the Pro?
Are they really the same?
This is really getting me frustrated and I can't find any info online about this.
Please help.

Xiaomi is the master of confusion regarding phone variants and names.
But in your case and only if your phone has two backside cameras:
- Xiaomi redmi note 5 Pro 4/6GB 64/128GB -> REDMI NOTE 5 PRO INDIA
- If your phone says that it uses a Global MIUI ROM then: Xiaomi redmi note 5 Dual AI 4/6GB 64/128GB -> Redmi Note 5 Global
- If your phone says that it uses a Russian MIUI ROM then: Xiaomi redmi note 5 Dual AI 4/6GB 64/128GB -> Redmi Note 5 Russia
Now, I am a little bit confused where exactly someone will find ROMs for Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 3/4GB 64/128GB with a single camera. It's believed that this variant is actually the Redmi 5 Plus but... I am not sure.

I checked the custom ROMs online regarding the single camera version, they were called just "Note 5 single camera" and there were a lot designed specifically for that version. I believe my specific version of Xiaomi is the China version, since it is the chinese version with the Global ROM installed, if that's the case, there are plenty of ROMs for me to choose.

I have just placed the order on the phone. I haven't recieved it yet. The description of the phone says that it is the Chinese version with the Global ROM.

i am in italy and doing a cpuz it says whyred...

m1803e7sg = same as redmi note 5 'PRO'? can I flash roms for the PRO version?

I am unsure if the note 5 pro forums are right for my phone as I have the redmi note 5 (not pro) m1803e7sg with 3GB RAM,
the ram and storage seems to me being the only major difference, so are ROMS compatible?
if not, is there another forum for my model?

I just saw in cpu-z it has the qualcom snapdragon sdm636, so I am good? I know for my previous samsung phone there were varieties within same models that would make it incompatible with certain roms

So I've red some more, is it correct that my device is the whyred version? I believe it is redmi note 5 global

Yes the PRO and Global use the same ROMs. Even for official MIUI ROMs. I also have the same model number because I have the global model as well but 4GB RAM with 64GB storage option. As long as the codename is whyred it'll work just fine. I know Xiaomi's model naming can be really confusing. The ROMs on this forum will work on your device.

have u tried to install roms of the pro version on it or not yet ? cause i have the same uncertainity that my redmi note 5 ai global 3 giga ram won't be compatible with those roms for the pro version and even more they r for 4 giga ram devices ! so please responde

Hey, yes it is. I have it and I've flashed a lot of roms like Havoc or PE. In Europe the redmi note 5 pro is just called redmi note 5. You have the global version btw. (B20 working on this model).

Hi guys, no idea if there are still active people here but I have a redmi note 5 (3gb RAM, SDM660, model M1803E7SG. So same as above but with SDM660 instead of 636. Will these roms work for this model as well?

Yes, it should work. The Snapdragon 636 and 660 are very similar, so some apps may display it as sdm660. Whyred ROMs will work on your device.

Is the setting shows cpu oct core max 2.8GHz ? or other apps shows cpu is still snapdragon 768g?
u tested flash the k30 5g(765g) version rom on 768g devices make me don't worry brick the device since i can download the full ,zip rom from device update.

Can you share me your experience of eu rom on your k30 5g speed edition? Smoothness and any bugs? And what twrp did you use?
