Can't connect Bluetooth speaker (PLEASE HELP) - HTC 10 Questions & Answers

I have recently gotten a Logitech UE Boom 2 and cannot connect it to my HTC 10 (Sprint). I have tried to connect it via bluetooth and NFC, neither have worked. My phone has paired with many other speakers including the Altec Lansing Mini H20. I have also successfully paired/connected an HTC m9 to the Boom 2. However, whenever I try to connect my HTC 10 I get this message:
Unable to connect
Make sure your devices are on and then try connection again.

I remember somewhere here reading that somebody had a similar problem and solved it by unpairing the other bt devices, then pairing one by one starting from the one he had problems.

HTC Desire & Parrot CK3000

Hello everyone.
New poster here looking for advice (bit cheeky I know )
I have had my HTC Desire for a week or so and I am trying to pair it with the parrot ck3000 in my car. I have erased the memory of the parrot and turned the bluetooth on on the phone. The phone finds the parrot ok but when I try to pair it I get an error on my phone telling me "There was an error pairing with the parrot ck3000"
I am getting very frustrated as I don't know what to try next.
Any advice please.
Thanks in advance.

Hi There Solozzo,
Hope the below helps you out if you have not tried them yet...
1. Is your Blue tooth device Visable, not just on... That wont do the trick. You should have a mode tab at the bottom or on the later versions a settings tab to make your device available/visable. (the bluetooth icon in your task bar would have a small eye if its visable)
2. Once its asking you to pair the device to the parrot you should have a stock pass key from the parrot to enter to the phone to make the pair work together.
I connected to a Nokia headset yesterday for the first time and the only way it worked was with the correct passkey
Good Luck!
Hope this helps!
Hi Sollozzo,
Did you find a solution?
I have exactly the same problem with the old Parrot CK3000 (not the Evo one) and my HTC Desire.
Hope you can help me
Thanks
I'm also using a Parrot CK3000 and a HTC Desire. The first time I wanted to connect the phone a had to search for the parrot (from the phone).
Connecting was'nt a problem.
Because a changings to different rom's all the time, I have to re-establish the connection everytime by letting the phone search for the parrot. I works all the time.
Hope this helps
Having this issue now with the OD en Oxygen ROM. Anyone got this working on Oxygen ROM? It works fine on stock HTC and Modaco ROM.

Galaxy Nexus Bluetooth issues.

I have Galaxy NEXUS yakju, otad stock 4.1.1 stock everything. But every time I try to connect to my platronics k100 it doesn't show on the list. I have to reboot both devices several times before my gnex sees the platronics. I then go to pair the device but I get cannot connect to pk100 either wrong pin or passkey. I cannot find away to enter a passkey. I tried clearing the Bluetooth cache to see if that helps but nothing. Anyone else have this issue? Anyone have a fix? Could this be because of the new radio that dropped? I never had this issue with ICS.
I'm also stock 4.1.1 GNex. I had perfect BT behavior with several devices with ICS, now have a problem with my car's built-in BT hands-free phone (2007 BMW 328). Pairing is fine. About every other phone call I'm told they can barely hear me over the noise but my audio is fine. I've paired and unpaired, and I did a complete wipe before installing JB. Very frustrating since everything worked great with ICS. Also no problems with 2 other BT headsets and connecting to 2 different PCs via BT.
Hello,
Did either on of you find a fix for this?
Thanks in advance

I can pair bluetooth, cut it wont connect!!

Hi all,
I have been using a N7100 for nearly a year now, and this is the first time this has happened to me.
I am currently running stock 4.1.2.
When i try and connect any bluetooth device (apart from a bluetooth adaptor for my speakers) to my device, it pairs fine, when i click on the paired device to connect it, it just doesnt do anything.
When i used to click on it, it would say its connecting, and then connect, but now it just says paired, and doesnt do anything.
I have tried connecting it with my HTC 8X, Galaxy S2, and Alienware M17x, and its the same for all of them. but if i try pairing it with my fission (cheap brand) bluetooth adaptor, it says its "connected to media audio". and i can play music thru the external speakers.
But it wont work with any other device.
Can anyone tell me what i am doing wrong??.
Does anyone know a fix for this issue?.
I have tried flashing to different versions of stock firmware, but it doesnt help.
Thanks in advance
Cheers
Corey

bluetooth pairing issues / delete paired devices

Hey guys,
since I bought my bluetooth headphones (Wearhaus Arc), which are actually pretty cool, I have lots of troubles with them.
When I paired my phone (HTC One M8 running latest official stock unbranded Android 6.0) with the headphones the first time, everything was great.
While using them from day to day I was faced with connection issues. That means, that both my phone and headphones are on, but it takes (almost everytime) a couple of tries to connect them. Even if I tap in the saved devices on the headphone, the connect could not be established. Turning off and on the headphones and bluetooth on my phone was the only way to fix it.
If I finally had a connection, everything was fine. In a few very rare cases, the connection worked at the first go.
Some weeks ago, a new firmware for the headphones was released, so I wanted to install them. During the update process, the updater (Android app) said, that the verifcation failed and the firmware cound no be updated. Same behaviour with the Windows 10 app. Even with another phone it did not work. Seems like, something is wrong with the headphones.
So I contacted the support again (first time they gave me the advice to use the Windows 10 app to update firmware) and told me, that I have to return it for repair. The gave me a return label etc. and I sent it back.
After waiting a few weeks I finally got it back. With zest I turned them on, but the joy was marred, because my phone did not recognize them.
Before sending them back, I unpaired the headphones in order to start over with the new ones. Maybe this was the mistake...
I did some pairing testing with other phones (HTC Sensation, BlackBerry Q10, HTC HD2), which found the headphones immediately and worked fine. So my guess is, that only my M8 has a problem with them.
Pairing, unpairing and "repairing" (pairing again) between my M8 and the other mentioned phones worked well, so there cannot be an general bluetooth issue.
After doing a factory reset on my M8 I'm a step futher, because now the phone sees the headphones (somethimes), but it isn't able to establish a connection. In case I see it, I tap on the available devices, the phone tries to connect, but a second later I get the message: "unable to pair. Make sure your devices are on and discoverable, and then try pairing again". Rebooting the phone does not work. I also cleared the data and cache of the bluetooth share app and performed a network reset like described here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/help/htc-one-m8-bluetooth-wont-android-6-0-t3340279
My question to guys is, what can I do, to get the headphones to work?
Is it possible, that on the phone is still a piece of information left about the former connection, which refuses any new connection?
Is there a file on the phone, which stores the bluetooth connections? if yes, maybe deleting or editing the file could help?
Thank you in advance!

Bluetooth car issue.

So, Bluetooth works well with all alter devices but does not recognise my car Bluetooth. I have not had any issues so far testing from all possible android phones to Nokia and iPhone. I have a 2010 C class. Any suggestions? The car says that no devices has been found when trying to pair. Thanks
Same exact problem here with an Audi A1. I contacted support, but they only suggested things I had already tried (like factory reset etc). I'm going to try and get a log to them at some point this week.
Are you on the latest OTA? That's when the problems started happening for me - it was working fine before that.

Yes, latest update. Unfortunately support gave me "support" I have already tried and if you have a bit of knowledge of android you do not need some to tell you those things. We just have to wait until next update. Thanks
Have you tried turning off HD audio in the device settings?
When the device is connected, go to Bluetooth and select the cog next to the device. Uncheck HD audio.
This worked for me with my JVC Bluetooth car stereo.
