It's all the same everywhere ... I guess that's because KK and LL don't have the ability to use and control 8 cores at the same time ... The A7 small cores actually start working when system is doing demanding tasks ... As a Kernel Dev , I can confirm that the appropriate Drivers are implemented for both A7 and A15 Processors ... So , It should be just that the current Android Arch is not that compatible with 8 Core Control ... I guess It was said that in Nougat , the New arch does support full 8 Core control ... But , So far I haven't faced such features in related threads and i don't want to make you think that it would be GREAT to control 8 cores because currently TW's source does it by itself ... I hope it was helpful to you ...
With Best Wishes

Try ''Tablet CPU Usage Monitor''...I don't know, how it works on a phone, because it is supposed to be used on a tablet.
exactly this is for tablet thats why not working in phone!!i mean if there is one for phones!!for SGSII!!!
Set CPU from the market has a widget thats works fine on gingerbread roms, with a kernel that supports over and under clocking.
rice and pea(ce)
Seems like the paid version of "CPU Usage Monitor" can do this but not as widget, but in the statusbar, as shown here:
http://knowmydroid.com/blog/monitor-android-cpu-usage-status-bar
"Temp+CPU PRO" should show cpu freq., use, temp, ram and it should work with dual core cpu. But it does not in my case, (maybe because cpu is oc?) I mean it shows everything right except cpu freq.
The free alternative "Temp+CPU V2" works fine for single core cpu, even oc.

5\6 cores is stopped

Hey everyone,
Recently my device is very slow. I downloaded the app CPU-Z and my surprise that 5 of 6 cores are not working.
Notably, the device is not on battery saving mode.
H815 Android 5.1 no rooted.
Does anyone know what the problem is and how to fix it? Because it is nearly impossible to use the device.
Thanks
Cores 5 and 6 is for Big Cpu and they will enable only when it need
If you are sure that it not work try Download Kernel adiutor then in cpu settings click on the checkbox cpu cores

8cores Huawei Gx8 L03?

Hi,
I'm using last stable release of BeanStalk but when I use different apps to monitor my cpu cores, only my device use 4 cores and the other 4 cores are disabled. How can I use all 8 cores?
I modified build.prop file but it doesn't work:
# perf
ro.core_ctl_min_cpu=2
ro.core_ctl_max_cpu=8
ro.min_freq_0=960000
ro.min_freq_4=800000
ro.vendor.extension_library=libqti-perfd-client.so
Please help me!
Man, the 8 cores cannot be used simultaneously. This is called a "big-little" configuration, where 4 more powerful cores are paired with 4 less powerful cores. At any given time (except for a very brief time during the so-called "core-switch"), only either the 4 powerful cores (for performance use-cases) or the 4 less powerful cores are active (for power-saving use cases). This restriction is built in the hardware architecture, and software has to honor it.

HTC 10 Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 1.59GHz - Help

I am a newbie to this forum, not sure about things here.
your inputs on this would be highly appreciated.
I recently updated my HTC 10 to 7.0 and I see CPUZ where it shows the Processor i.e. 820 clocked at 1.59Ghz and 2 cores stopped. what could be the possible reason??
Posting the screenshot for further reference - UPDATE - I am not able to post a screenshot..
Snapdragon 820 uses the big.LITTLE architecture. Which means that the processor basically has two cluster. First cluster contains 2 cores which are low power cores, clocked at 1.6 GHz. These cores are used to carry out everyday tasks that do not require much resources. The other cluster has 2 High Performance cores, clocked at 2.2 GHz. These cores are only activated when needed. For example, while playing a game etc.
Hope this helps
I already updated my HTC 10 from 2.28.401.9 to 2.41.401.4 but have the same problem. First 2 cpu 1.59 and the other 2 stopped. Antutu and other benchmark show low points. Please I need help
It's due to SELinux changes in Android 7. If you change SELinux to permissive, then it will work again. Just "security changes" by Google.
Isn't it already answered?

So sorry but I'm Newbie. Can I change SELinux to permissive without root ? Because I don't want to root it

stock min freq is little 633 mhz big 1130mjz
underclocked can go to 300mhz both big and little.
you mean a hotplug.. when not in use all cores off then whn input turn on... unfortunatelly theres no hotplug for 636.. as they say in kernel settings balme qualcomm
