CPU widget(dual core)??? - Galaxy S II Themes and Apps

Friends,i dont know if i must write it in the general i am sorry!
Is there a widget cpu instantly meter with our dual core cpu? i mean like the nice 'all CPU meter' in windows 7 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QFMQ6f2Ygfc&feature=related not like set cpu,cpu master and all the others i dont rememder..
thank you

Try ''Tablet CPU Usage Monitor''...I don't know, how it works on a phone, because it is supposed to be used on a tablet.

exactly this is for tablet thats why not working in phone!!i mean if there is one for phones!!for SGSII!!!

Set CPU from the market has a widget thats works fine on gingerbread roms, with a kernel that supports over and under clocking.
rice and pea(ce)

Seems like the paid version of "CPU Usage Monitor" can do this but not as widget, but in the statusbar, as shown here:
http://knowmydroid.com/blog/monitor-android-cpu-usage-status-bar

"Temp+CPU PRO" should show cpu freq., use, temp, ram and it should work with dual core cpu. But it does not in my case, (maybe because cpu is oc?) I mean it shows everything right except cpu freq.
The free alternative "Temp+CPU V2" works fine for single core cpu, even oc.

Is it normal that quick system info reports my cpu clock is at 1.4ghz instead of 1.5?

Hi. I have a rooted HTC One X international version with the quad core processor supposedly. 1.5ghz but when i checked quick system info it says my cpu clock is only running at 1.4ghz. I have set cpu installed and i have ensured that ive set the min and max to 1.5ghz but still it remains at 1.4ghz. I dont know if it was like this before i rooted my device or before i installed setcpu, or if this is just the way its supposed to be. Please advice.
If ever this is unusual, could someone tell me how to fix it? Should i reflash the kernel or bootloader?
Thanks in advance for ur help.

i tried it and the cpu range shows as 51 to 1500 no probs.
try cpu spy, then run a bench mark service, then go back to cpu spy and check if it reached 1500ghz
Oh, sorry if I got misunderstood. Setting the range is NOT the problem. I can set it just fine, and the profiles work well too. It's just that if I set the min and max to 1500mhz, the ACTUAL cpu clock (the large number on top of the min and max sliders) remains at 1400. When I lower/change the min max, the frequency lowers/changes accordingly. But, as I mentioned, the max ACTUAL cpu frequency remains at 1400mhz even though the sliders are already set to 1500mhz.
So, I want to know if that's normal. I read from somewhere that the maximum frequency for multi-core is 1400mhz and the maximum frequency for single core is 1500mhz. But I'm not sure though so I want to verify that information.
Thanks!

How do I go about overclocking my HTC One X?

Hi all I'm fairly new to these forums, although I have been watching from afar for quite some while now!
I have been trying out custom roms and various kernels and was wondering how do I go about overclocking my device? Only reason I am asking is because I was checking out benckmark results for other devices and noticed some can be particularly high.
Any insight would be most appreciated!
I wouldnt try any overclocking on the HOX because of the heat issues. A more safe and stable way of doing it is changing the govenor of the kernel or forcing cores online. I think you can use core control (in the apps and themes section) to change core behaviour and system tuner to change govenor.

I have now installed core control. Got to admit it is nice having the option to save a bit more power. How much as an estimate do each of cores use anyway just out of interest?

you can download an app called tegrastats to find out more but all you should know is this. once you activate the corecontrol and depending what app you use you should be fine. if i was you i would also use no-frills cpu app. that way you can underclock and would save you more juice

Fantastic! Many thanks for the advice. I have now installed no-frills cpu, and started to tinker around with the settings. Could I ask as I am still fairly new to some of this, when I first went on to the settings both maximum and minimum were set to 1.5 GHz (Not sure if it was just saying this on the app or not or if these are the actual settings) but I would guess this would use a lot more power am I right?

yes you are right. put the min frequency to say 200 or 300 mhz and then press apply on boot and then reboot and you should be fine

[Q] WTF Dual Core?! *Clockspeeds*

so the Galaxy Nexus has a dual core 1.2ghz TI Omap right? thats 2 cores running at 1.2ghz each? or are the clockspeeds split between the cores?
using Kernel Tuner to manage my CPU speed i noticed that when i exit the CPU tab CPU1 goes offline until i hit CPU1 on/off. nice feature to be able to turn it on or off on the fly, but why isnt it on by default?
then after a while, even set to Performance mode and no matter what i set, my clockspeeds drop by half and fluctuate as if i have the governor set to Ondemand and again with only CPU0 activated slowing my phone down immensely!
im currently running Axi0m with Fancy Kernel but have noticed this on the included kernel and in EOS and SlimBean too.
its really annoying to watch Need for Speed Most Wanted fps drop gradually while racing, or even Into The Dead
is this my phone acting up or is this actually a Deep Sleep feature?

This may be an app compatibility issue. From the market Application officially supports only HTC EVO 3D GSM/CDMA, however it might also work on other devices. Try a different app, Trickster Mod perhaps.

This could be the app too. Performance governor should never fluctuate in speed. It should lock in at the top speed you have set, and never change from there. It could also be that you have something with profiles that changes your speeds/governors when certain requirements are met (under 50% battery underclock and use on demand governor).

There are settings and governors that do disable a core when sleeping, or when not needed in hopes of saving battery. Most don't come with this enabled by default, as there are some folks that run into stability issues with those options.

your right, Kernel Turner is "officially" only supported by HTC EVO 3d. ive used it on a bunch of other phones and never ran into any problems, like my Samsung Intercept and Evo Shift even an Exhibit 4g. will give Trickster Mod a go
by chance do you know if Axi0m rom has only 1 core enabled by default? i had noticed these sames fluctuations in it's built in CPU controller BEFORE i installed Kernel Tuner. actually this was the REASON i installed Kernel Tuner
also i dont have any profiles or apps set up to govern my CPU frequencies. literally have have 4 games, TerrariaHB and Kernel Tuner lol.
ok ive played around with it a little bit and still having the frequencies drop to 537 even with Trickster Mod, both cores are saying offline and i set frequency lock.
i had my phone set to 806mhz Performance, played with it for a few, come back and...well?
here it is AGAIN after just sitting there and clicking apply doesnt change it! i have to change the frequency then click apply and it does, but it only seems to for a few minutes
-_- im an idiot...
"Max Screen Off"
You will press v under status bar for apply with setting otherwise you will never stay at the same set than before
For apply at boot use settings > apply at boot
Don't use performance, it's useless and deprecated, use interactive instead

[Q] How to stop a CORE

I think to found the problem that is the cause of battery drain.
I just asked you help to it, but watching with Battery Doctor i think that the cause is the second cpu core that is often at 1600-1700 mhz.
With app like Set Cpu i just tried to set the max frequency to 810-1024 ecc.. but it has effect only for the firts cpu.
How can i stop the second cpu ?
I am using S5 Proyect ROM with BrisK kernel 3.4.0

It shows 633Mhz for me (first four cores)
which rom you are on ?
however background processes of Android do take cpu usage

stock min freq is little 633 mhz big 1130mjz
underclocked can go to 300mhz both big and little.
you mean a hotplug.. when not in use all cores off then whn input turn on... unfortunatelly theres no hotplug for 636.. as they say in kernel settings balme qualcomm
