Hi I just received my lg g4 yesterday and I installed all of the updates last night from Verizon and lg so everything's up to date but whenever I go to settings and try to change my lock settings it crashes saying unfortunately the process android.com.lockscreen has stopped or something like that and if I try and go to security it says the same thing but security instead of lockscreen in the error. I can't search settings because it'll crash I've tried to clear the cache and force close settings and settings storage but that doesn't work i don't have a Verizon SIM card in it if that matters I don't have any SIM card in it. Any suggestions?

Just recieved OTA update on my stock gnex using the google-framework cache clear/close process method.
I cleared cache of google-framework process and then stopped it, rebooted the device and after reboot was done i got the OTA, installed it and phone booted again. update was installed without any problems.
BUT: when going into settings => location access => and then tapping "access to my location" settings force closes.
i rebooted the phone a few times and tried everything that came into my mind, no solution
anybody got the same problem or maybe even a solution?

Same problem here and that fixes it for me too! Happens on my wife's Nexus 7 too, but she has NoLED there so this may be a bug that has to do with anything enabled under accessibility settings (or at least not ONLY Light Flow).
Edit: I wonder if this is related:

"Note: We have found that this issue is related to running apps that have settings in the accessibility menu in Android settings. In the meantime, you should be able to use Swype by disabling any apps that are in Android Settings > Accessibility."
Sounds like 4.1.2 has some kind of Accessibility bug,
I rooted this tablet using the Kingroot method. Removed all the tmobile bloatware from it to try to speed it up.
The tablet started to get errors and when i click on settings a message shows up that settings has stopped.
I did a hard factory reset to the tablet and now it is not usable when it turns on it keeps getting the popup that settings has stopped and cannot bypass this.
Does anyone know how i can flash a full stock image on this tablet?, or is they a way i can bypass the settings has stopped error, i guess for the first run settings need to run before you can get to Home
if i can bypass the setup i should be able to use the tablet.
Thank you.

Seems you're SOL until LG comes up with an update file.
I only froze bloat with TiBu. Wont remove anything until we get a recovery or ROM.
Put your IMEI on the end of this URL. http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/csmg/b2c/client/auth_model_check2.jsp?esn=
PM me if it says you have a file available
If/when that happens I'd be happy to assist you with reflashing the device with the stock rom

Same issue here, just bought a new LG g4, came in sealed box with android 6.0. I can't set a lock screen, go into security's or delete apps with out crashing. The phone is empty, no user data yet. I can not even finish setting up phone. I've tried soft and hard resets, also safe mode none of which make any difference. Frustrating
Did you setup encryption on your device
Every time I held an NFC card to the back of the phone, I kept getting "NFC Services has stopped". I tried different things, including updating the app on APKMirror. This sent NFC services into a loop of it crashing and then I got message saying factory resetting, so I shut down the phone (vol+pwr buttons) and wiped cache. I rebooted and now NFC is not an option in the settings. Any way to fix this? I'm on the latest October update rooted. Would I be able to reinstall the OTA without losing everything?

I'd flash the factory image with the -w removed from the batch file. You won't lose data that way
So I was using the face unlock (which works amazing) and when I rebooted my phone, as usual it re-enabled the "fingerprint sensor can lock phone" option. But it also made all my smart Lock options disappear. Very wierd.
Same
Yea same, I have the Moto z2 force on Sprint with Android 7.1.1 . Every time I restart or boot up the phone the Smart Lock buttons don't work or show up. I factory reset the phone and did nothing but removed all of my stuff. Maybe when Android 8 or Oreo comes out it will be fixed. I hope it will fix it because I use it a lot. If you don't know how to update your phone you first go to Settings, then About phone, then System updates.
I had this problem but once I made a factory reset last week it is working normally, at least until now. One way to temporarily fix it is by deactivating smart lock in the secure agent section, reboot and activate again. The downside is that everytime you reboot without deactivating it as a secure agent it will stop working again.
