Well they are looking good but most important thing is if you can operate volume and power buttons easily. I bought one silicon case last time and it was real nightmare when I tried to operate the volume or switch off the screen.

This appears to be the a different color of the first case you linked to.

The review is not positive.
that for showing me that thread so not going to buy that one
just my .02 cents. When I originally ordered case in question the website showed different pictures of it, making it look like the TMO rubber case. Definitely not what I had ordered. Case came in and so I said what the heck ill try it. Bad idea, this cause in my opinion is horrible. Very loose, back feels weird, and the sides are extremely thin. I emailed Amzer telling them thats not what I ordered and so thought a good way to deal with it is to send me another one of the exact same color...... So now I have 2 of them sitting on my desk not being used, as I bought TMO one and I love it
The first case you linked is just no good in my opinion. First off its too loose. Your phone could easily just fall out of the case while talking on the phone. Its very annoying. Secondly the type of material used LOOKS as if it would be easier to grip but the opposite is true. The rubbery surface is actually really slick. Its more slick than using the phone without a case. Absolutely no friction when holding the phone.
I personally like this case A LOT. Its amazing

Just received this yesterday for my son's phone and I had posted it in another thread, but thought I would bring it out into it's own for those specifically looking at this case.
I wanted to get some form of protection for his EVO without adding a lot of bulk since he will drop the phone being a kid. After getting it and putting it on his phone, I like the form factor and protection of the corners, but not necessarily the silicon form and lack of solid fit. Will see how the rubber holds it's shape through the process of him taking it in and out of his smaller pockets and I can already see that this will require cleaning often. The power and volume buttons are still very responsive with being surrounded by the silicon as well. Understanding that this is not a high level of protection, it should help with minor drops.
I'm not overly pleased with the ease that the rubber insert moves away from the phone at both the top and bottom. I guess that is to be expected without a shell surrounding the entire phone itself. Overall, it is a very nice compliment to his phone and the quality is good. Will see how it holds up. Will try to avoid double posts in the future..lol
UPDATE: Really like this case the longer he has it. Doesn't stick, even in his smaller pockets and the rubber insert is holding it's shape. So far really nice! Just got his 1900 batteries and cycled them twice and those have been lasting a good day with all of his gaming and a couple days if he lays off.
I have the one that is the 2 piece that snaps together with the clip. Been using it since they first came out and love it. Dropped the phone about 3 times and it has done its job.
Looks nice. I have the Seidio Innocase Rugged and used it for a month before getting the Ballistic HC. It's a great case I just like the Ballistic better. If any one wants to buy the Innocase Rugged I'll do $25 shipped to anywhere in the USA....

Nice review. I can say I have had this case for 4 months and it still looks great.

It's a pretty good case. I'm on my second one now. RMA'd the first one because a corner of the hard shell broke off in my pocket (phone was never dropped). It happened right at the end of the 6 month warranty period but Seidio was nice enough to still honor the warranty. Now on my second one the same thing happened. Pulled it out of my pocket to find that the corner piece had broke off... I won't be buying another, but tbh I don't really like many of the other cases I've seen.
Look at this guys.... It looks just like the ballistic case... I just might buy it!

Looks like a good buy! Good find

I need the holster though
Caulkins E4GT GB 2.9.2 bare ROM, FB27 modem, rogue gunslinger kernel on one EPIC beast of a phone.
My cousin got one. Even tho it looks the same it fits losely unlike the ballistics tight secure fit. You can tell after a week or so that case will be really lose on the phone

I just got the yellow version of this case. It is nearly identical to the Ballistic case, but the Ballistic is made with a little thicker materials and seems to be a little better quality. Some might actually like this case better though because it adds a little less bulk but still provides a decent amount of protection. The fit seems to be perfect and all the buttons and cutouts are in exactly the right place.
One difference is that hard plastic goes over the power and volume buttons with a hole for the silicone layer to protrude through. I think this might help cut down on accidental button presses, but they are still easy to press. The plastic does not cover the button area on the Ballistic, only silicone.
Overall, it seems to be a great case and I would definitely recommend it. It's probably the best value out there for a rugged type case, and the fact that it's available in multiple colors is a plus too.

To be honest about case for phone. It only make the phone ugly and bad signal reception.
Just buy a outterbox case I tried a couple cases and they never amount to any thing so just spend the 40$-50$ on something that last
And that's worth it........

1. Making the phone "ugly" is a matter of opinion. Millions of people put cases on their phones either because they like the way they look or because they want to protect it from damage.
2. No case made of rubber or plastic is going to have any noticeable effect on signal strength. Some cases made of metal may have a slight effect, but probably not enough to decrease performance.

Can't help but laugh at the "SUMSUNG" add in their post....
Well, this case paid for itself today. I dropped my phone while getting out of my work truck. I drive a commercial truck for work, so this was about an 8 foot drop onto an asphalt parking lot and it just bounced a couple times. This surely would have been a fatal drop without a case, but with this case my phone was completely unharmed. Didn't hurt the case at all either.

Awesome!! I was looking at those too. I lyk Hybrid cases.
Don't get the these kickstand cases.

And it's look alikes. They're pretty good, but they block the proxy sensors, so your screen stays black during calls. If you have a work around to turn your screen on, then please let me know. LoL!!
If you don't, you'd be stuck on the phone until the other person hangs up, or you take the case off to allow the screen to turn on. It's a pretty cool case except that one major flaw.
Bought this case new from ebay knowing about its few problems being reported like the proximity sensor, call problems, and audio issues, but still preferred this over the lifeproof simply for its protection. When i first received it, my initial reaction was "wow, its here, and its HUGE!" But i carefully disassembled it and clean it out just in case, water tested it (passed), dried it off, and finally put my phone in its new suit of armor. It really made the phone huge, and i mean huge, but i honestly dont mind the added bulk because of its substantial protection and it still feels very comfy in hand and doesnt hinder the phones functionality at all. Speaker for music also plays very loudly and crystal clear unlike other reviewers have stated. I think its a great case to buy and kind of essential if you have a very physically active life. Now to the cons (although their aren't many): Unlike many other reviewers of the white version have stated, i dont have call proximity issues, only thing that happens related to proximity is when i turn the phone over to face down while playing music, it pauses, but thats expected because i had that motion option enabled. Next, phone calls work fine and i hear people just fine, but the caller on the other end may have a problem hearing you sometimes. But it rarely happens and most times they can hear you. Easy fixes are bluetooth and earphones. Lastly, the home button definitely requires more pressure to press and the menu/back "buttons" are a little harder to get to but you'll get used to it. Thats the only thing "wrong" with this case honestly and its still excellent to have. I would highly recommend it. If you dont mind a little bulk, get it. Again, great great case :good:
I have a brand new one in original packaging from otterbox if anyone wants, contact me through dm or 6785162209
Personally speaking, at that kind of bulk, I'd rather shove in a 7200mAh Anker. Protection is nice and all but severely handicaps the phone IMO. If you like bulk, might as well triple your battery life.
Furthermore, if it does get scratched/cracked/broken, it's fairly easy to replace (for most members here). For example, you can swap the camera lens for a few bucks if it does get scratched.
I've had my GS3 for almost two years now. Been completely nude the whole time. No screen protector, nothing. There are many surface scratches on the screen which you can only see if you look at it while the screen is off under a super, super bright light. Doesn't affect the image quality at all. Outside frame (the gray part) is a little cracked in few places. Not a big deal.
Runs flawless on CM 10.2.1. Undervolted almost 100mV across the board.
I used to be OCD, but decided to save my health instead.

I myself looked for waterproof. I too believe as you do and went naked on previous phones. But now with a toddler and my part time job in swimming pool service, waterproof was the selling point.

I personally liked the armor series for my S3. I only stopped using mine due to needing to put my phone in my pocket and the armor didn't quite fit the bill. I use my lifeproof nud for daily use at work but when out playing around or working at the house I still use my armor series. And you definitely can't beat the otterbox warranty.

LOL...I love my phone being slim and I can live with scratches. But after a few near misses with my toddler son and getting soaked a couple of times on the job, I decided I would have to give in. Bring without my phone even for a day would screw up my schedule. Amazing how much I depend on it.

I've also bought this case and it turned out to be just what I was looking for. Before I've had Griffin survivor which would be good enough for me except two things, it was not that easy to remove (I prefer naked S3 while not in a hostile environment) and it scratched my S3. After the latter happened I've immediately sold it.
But the reason to post is for everyone with menu/back/home buttons problem. After a proper inspection I've found out that the back cover of the case doesn't give enough support for installed phone. If the phone is fully pushed into the case there is approximately 1.5mm gap between the phone and the back cover. So after first push on menu/back/home button even if the phone is inserted all the way in to the case, the phone backs up a little and that gap moves from the back to the front. In order to solve this problem I've ordered 1.5mm thick silicone sponge to fill the gap between the phone and the back cover. One thing that bothers me about this is that waterproofness of the case might be broken if 1.5mm thick sponge is too much and even bigger problem is how test waterproofness as I don't want to sacrifice my phone. I'll report any pros or cons about my modification. If it solves this problem I'll post some pictures of modification.
I've had the Acase Superleggera Pro Dual Protection Case on my S3 since I bought it and I love it. I've dropped it so many times and not noticed any difference in performance. And it's not super bulky like the other 2 layer cases. It's also less than $10 at Amazon these days.

For everyday protection sure it may be good, but when it comes to 10ft drop, water, being hit, stomped on, and numerous other things, the armor case is the best.

I tried with 1.5 mm foam and it was just a little too much. Now I am waiting for 1mm which I think it should work. As I've already said, in my case waterproofness is not really needed but I wouldn't like to brake it. Will report again.

I finally got 2mm foam as 1mm is hard to get. 2mm foam goes into gaps between ribs on the rubber on the back cover of the case. So this just might do the trick as the case closes ok.

I ended up bying a $18 trident case. It kind of sticks in my pocket a bit now, and really I prefer the phone naked, but I tend to drop my phone enough that I'm just going to make myself get used to this. The fit is fine and all the buttons work great still, I just don't like the fact that it sticks coming out of my pocket, but it's a tradeoff.

Is this the one you are talking about? I am getting a Moto G Friday and this is one of the only cases that jumped out at me. I'd prefer a holster because I want a bulkier case (I drop my phone a lot) and don't want a bulky case in my pocket. The few reviews on this seems like it is a great deal and people are genuinely pleased, but there are only 4 reviews and a lot of these cheaper cases seem to have bogus reviews. I fish a lot and use my phone to take pictures of the days catch, so a rugged case is nearly a must, but I don't want to spend an arm and a leg if I don't have to. it's not like I throw my phone at things.
No I am using the hyposnap one but this seems really better than what I have now. I am considering ordering it right now. The hypo snap is a 2 piece of rubber and plastic back. It well protected both back and screen of my phone till now.

Although I don't use an actual case, I still protect my Moto G with a tempered glass protector. I also applied a Dbrand black titanium skin to the stock black cover to give the phone a premium feel and grip.

The case... saved me a bunch of times, I'm a bit clumbsy.
A case is cheap insurance. While I have never dropped my phone from my hand, I have placed the phone in my shirt pocket, at some time bent over and the phone hit the deck on a few occastions. Another thing to consider is other people handling your phone. Some people are responsible and will do the right thing while others could care less. Of course this situation can be eliminated by not allowing anyone to touch your phone. Overall, a case gives me peace of mind and a lot less things to worry about. And no additional expense in insurance.
I initially used a belt pouch with a velcro starting with my dumbphones up to the Nexus S. Worked well, never dropped the phone in a way that damaged it.
I changed my mind and got an OtterBox Defender for my Note 2, and subsequently another one for the Moto G because I started using public transit again for my commute. All it takes is some dumb jerk with an oversize backpack to bump the phone out of your hands and onto terrazzo, tile or concrete. Holster-style cases work well for my needs.

When cycling I keep my Moto in my jersey pocket. I have a cheap silicon skin, then slip the skinned phone into a waterproof zip-lock bag designed to take your phone into the pool. I do the same when going to the beach, as I don't imagine sand is good for the phone. The rest of the time, no case.
