I usually run BJRR 10/18 with SuperSU SR4, SuHide v0.55, and Rootswitch, which safety net passes and PoGo works.
Is there a way to get Root, Xposed, and PoGo working on OOS 3.2.8?
I would like to try out all the new kernels that only support OOS atm

Yes, i've tried magisk with pHH superuser and a bunch of other magisk combos and none seem to work
Do you have xposed installed?

The magisk and phh superuser combo works on my phone. But when I enable xposed, the safetynet check fails. So, if you have xposed installed that could be your problem.

So the latest Pokémon go update blocks rooted and jailbroken phones. Has anyone had luck playing Pokémon with an app like root cloak (Xposed)??
Magisk v6 and phh's superuser might do the trick
Take look: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/mod-magisk-v1-universal-systemless-t3432382
Hope that helps, cuz I don't play it, so idk
My phone is rooted and custom ROM and I have no problem playing as of last night PGO 0.37.
Like BoiBundy says Magisk works fine... http://www.androidpolice.com/2016/09/11/guide-play-pokemon-go-0-37-rooted-android-magisk/
Strange, For me pokemon go works without a problem on a RR official. I even have some apps working with root.
Iam in the latest cm13 nightly build, with rooted phone and pokemon go its not working.
Any ideas?
I'm looking at it actually, I blocked update on play store for now, I'm on miui 8 and it's a bit different than other rom so I don't know if we can use magisk or not.... Also because it's recommended to use it on stock ROM....

For me, you can use Magisk. I see any problem with miui to use Magisk.

Hi,
I've succeeded to bypass root verification: you can follow Magisk v6.0 method (http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/mod-magisk-v1-universal-systemless-t3432382)
Briefly,
1. You have to totally unroot your phone (trust me...), uninstall xposed -->
2. Grab Magisk v6.0 (.zip), phh's supersuser magisk version (.zip), xposed magisk version 86.5 (.zip)
3. Boot in recovery TWRP
4. Flash Magisk 6.0 then phh's superuser then xposed
5. Boot normally and install Magisk Manager (.apk)
6 You can now switch between root or unroot, before and after playing
P.S.: I've OxygenOS stock

... AND install phh's superuser apk of course...
Magisk is working for me, but Pokémon has been giving me "error unable to authenticate". Any suggestions?

Yes, I uninstalled xposed and it now works. Getting Pokemon to work with Xposed is a little more tricky...
Not worth all the trouble. I ditched Pokémon. It's ridiculous rooted players getting blocked. No I didn't cheat with Xposed modules. I simply played only with my 6 yr old daughter. Niantic can go suck a ****
Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using XDA-Developers mobile app
I used chainfire's suhide to play pokemon go and android Pay with both root and xposed
SuperSU 2.78 SR-1 + SuHide 0.53 works fine. No need to add it to blacklist, just flash and play
If you have 86.5 xposed installed, it'll still detect it

Indeed, I currently usually suhide, because I didn't want to have to toggle root on and off.

I'm also using suhide, supersu 2.78, and xposed 86.2. Passes safetynet, pokemon go works, and android Pay works
I have it working with root + exposed modules. Safetynet check passes and I have no problems playing it.
I run the last LOS nightly with Magisk 11.1. Magisk Hide is checked, Safetynet passes. When I touch the NFC terminal with my phone , the terminal show the following message: "Read chip, Mag Strip, try another card". Phone is S-OFF and unlocked.
Any idea why I can't use NFC/pay?
Yeah, the terminal thinks its a chip card. I think it's the banks'/google's issue. Has nothing to do with LOS. Happens to me too. It works on some terminals but not others. Very weird issue.
I unlocked the bootloader @ HTCdev.Com. Afterwards I s-off'd with Sunshine which states its best to leave the phone locked. Could this be an issue?

Installed your kernel when I read it disabled the verifiedbootstate check. Uninstalled Magisk(app and twrp uninstaller) to leave no trace of root. Safetynet passes, same error at the terminal...aaaargh!

It's the way apay is pushing the card info. It will work on some terminals.

Does that explain why my android pay works fine on the ICE rom, which also passes the safetynet?

Have you tried them on the same terminals? If you haven't, this might explain it. If you have then LOS has an issue with HCE.

Yeah, the same shop. I am using your LOS kernel because of the safetynet pass. That said, I had to install magisk and magisk hide to pass safetynet, which I didn't test with the default lineageos kernel. Would magisk hide the lack of the boot verification, or do I need the LOS and magisk in combination?

You know i think magisk might patch it. Try with default kernel and magisk and report back. If it works to actually pay I'll try removing the patch from my kernel.

I dirty flashed the original lineage zip, then magisk, made sure magisk hide was working, and the NFC went through fine

Try turning NFC off and on again.
Do you have the exact same config as me? LineageOS (default kernel), magisk + hide, safetynet passed?
Are you trying with terminals that worked before?

OK please try the attached kernel.
I didn't flash your kernel yet, but I did try an NFC payment this morning with no luck. I think the issue must be with LineageOS somehow.
Hello everybody, im thinking of flashing magisk + magisk miui xposed in order to get root and pass safetynet, but my question is anybody here has done that? And it passes safetynet?
Thanks.
If you mean miui mm (6.0 based), it worked, but you need https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/xiaomi-safetynet-fix-t3600431
I tried beta 3 and it worked.
Well, i flashed all of that and didnt pass safetynet. Gonna stick to SuperSU
tryied to install supersu via twrp but it didn't work, how can i do a systemless root?
use latest magisk beta.

Yep, latest magisk beta worked. Had no luck with supersu 2.82.
SuperSU v2.82-SR5 works just fine.
Magisk 14.5
using lineage os 15.1 in my op5t but canot use the fingerprint or google pay, anyway to bypass that, the device is already rooted by systemless magisk
I am passing with OOS xxnolimitsxx with magisk.
I'm passing with Lineage OS latest build. No Root. But you must use custom kernel as stock kernel does not cover up unlocked bootloader.

Get rid of magisk. It's unreliable! Had it fail many many times when it comes to Google pay.
All I've done though, on a clean device, Flash lineage build, Flash gapps, Flash custom kernel. Franco, new kernel, Blu spark, whatever you like. Boot up. You'll pass safetynet.
Remove XPosed. It's detected by SafetyNet.

You can run magisk if you want, but just realize it's not the most reliable for covering itself up from safetynet. I've been screwed multiple times by it and that's why I don't bother with it anymore.
I am surprised everyone is having bad experience with magisk.. I haven't had an issue yet with safety net or Google pay.. Xposed is what's causing the issue
