Hi,
What is the best automation app? Like automate? But more stable/fast?
Thanks
I have never had problems with Tasker. Plus, as far as I'm familiar with the alternatives, nothing gives you what Tasker offers in terms of features and flexibility.
Yeah I always try out the alternatives and am sometimes excited about them, but always come back to Tasker.

Does anyone know if this is possible? I've seen conflicting reports.
I want a stock, simple messaging app, every app in the market has so many bells and whistles...

I tried it, I can't deal with the ads inside the app. IMO ads don't belong in a "core" app. I know why the dev does, and not bashing it. But I won't use it.
It looks like what I am looking for, if they do an ad free version for a couple of bucks I'd gladly buy it.
Read thru this thread:

I searched the web and read the manual, but could not find an answer.
All I am looking for is the way to automatically switch ringtone to "vibrate only" when I am in the office, and back to my regular ringtone elsewhere, based either on GPS location data, or the tower I am connected to. Is there an app for that?
Thanks!
I believe "Tasker" in the Play Store I'd what you are looking for.

I will try Llama. Isn't there one of Samsung functions or apps for that?
Thanks Raven,
I also found Llama, will give it a try:

I was under impression that Samsung provides this functionality built-in?

you're under the wrong impression then..
tasker is what you want
Let me know how tasker works on your device because it seems like a GREAT app but the reviews aren't too impressing.

Its a good app but its confusing to a lot of people so they leave bad reviews. The ui isnt as user friendly as the ios equivalent Activator
I'm using the avatar ROM and it has a weebo app that allows you to use it to do functions automatically based off your location. I've been trying to get it to put my WiFi on and off when I leave my house. Ive let it recognize my location numerous of times. I don't know if I have my settings right or what. Another thing I'm trying to do is create my own rules using this app as well. So anyone with some assistance would be appreciated, thanks.

If you're using that "weebo" app for that, I would highly recommend purchasing Tasker from the play store. Awesome app, frequent updates, and can be set up to do a huge range of things based on profiles and specific parameters, including what you're trying to do.

Basically, Weebo is similar to Tasker, but you can do a whole lot more with Tasker, and since it's been around for years now, there are a whole lot of tutorials on how to program automation in it. The auto-on or auto-off of wifi is one of the more basic things you can do with Tasker (and there are tons of tutorials on it).

Currently using one launcher and love it. Really simple, smooth, and lightweight.
Would recommend to anyone that just wants something simple and light. Also, it's am iPhone theme, so I know some android users might scoff at it.

The one thing I do miss, and I don't know if it is launcher or ROM related is the notification badges. I think it is a combination of both, as I am running a non-touchwize MM ROM.

I just recently moved from official 4.4.4 to Slimkat, and wanted to utilize some of the Google Now functionality, but found no way to rectify the glaring white screen when I pull up my aps list. I run slimkat in dark mode, and it looks really harsh.
Any chance you'd know how to rectify that whlie still being able to use GNL?
This app is amazing it's in early development but is nice so far, I can only imagine what it'll look like if it's ever out of beta. I've always wondered if we on Android would have this ability on our phones. Basically you can control most of your device with this app using your voice reducing the need to touch your screen dramatically. Give it a shot the names in the title but I'll write it again
Voice access give it a shot let me know what you guys think! It's already my favorite app on my phone!
I give full credit to Root junky from YouTube for bringing this app to my attention
Hey man that app IS COOL! I've never experienced anything like this lol its like controlling it with your mind except you are controlling it with voice but man! Great find dude thanks!
