It's personal preference, this is just barebones AOSP right now. The main thing right now would be more xposed modules are compatible than with Oxygen OS and bugs aren't shared. It currently needs a few workarounds to be a daily driver, so you may be better off waiting for test3 before trying to get an impression.
Sounds good. when i got the phone i was on 3.5.8 with excellent battery life over 5hrs sot. Then i decided to root which i did, and that took me back to to 3.5.2 i think and battery is ****. Even put greenify and a few others. Looking forward to this, either way. Keep up the good work. Good to know someones working on something.

I was. As soon as I turned on the phone it had the update. I'm 100% positive that was the firmware.

I received mine on Monday and it had 3.5.2 and said there was an update which was 3.5.3 so I'm pretty sure that that was what you had because there have been no other updates since then.

The latest available OTA for the OnePlus 3T is version 3.5.3, there is no version 3.5.8.
Also, root access alone should never affect your battery in any way, what did you add/install since rooting?

Greenify should have the opposite effect (in theory at least), and I've never seen my battery life affected by Lucky Patcher... the culprit may be GravityBox; I saw my OnePlus 3T definitely lag a bit when using it, and it does modify how your SystemUI displays.

I have xposed and gravity box and my battery life is doing fine. I haven't installed greenify because I haven't needed it yet. I'd say toss greenify and make sure regular doze mode is on. Make sure your brightness isn't always on crazy high. Idk, something to try. Also try to run the debloat script.
How do i run debloat script??

With test3 i think it's safe to call this a daily driver. Anyone able to give my any reports on battery life, bugs, or features they would like to see?
Good stuff I look forward to running this. Any plans on optimizing for performance or endurance or just keeping it pure AOSP?

only thing i can say right now is back-light for hardware buttons and the option to use on screen buttons but you already have that planned
Do i understand correctly, that this is the most compatible ROM to gravity box? GravityBox i think gives so many options, the only thing from OOS i may miss is the dark mode.

Hello!
I know that there is another Lineage thread, but I decided to create a new one. Why? Because CAF!
It really is better, especially graphics is faster...
Bugs:
- of course camera - still doesn't focus well... (it eventually does, but it takes seconds and you have to manually select on screen where to focus). Maybe other problems with cam. (videorecording)
- touch screen is sometimes irresponsible - turn off the screen or try to pull out notification bar (most of the times enough to bring touch back)
- MHL
No gapps included this time (use for example open gapps)

Camera open from instagram but in WhatsApp camera is crashing. But work to scan QR for WhatsApp Web.
I tried to install ROM through twrp recovery. But phone is unable to boot.
I think my process was not correct.
ROM link https://download.mokeedev.com/?device=berlin
I am looking forward if someone can install successfully this rom.
MoKee Open Source is based on the Google AOSP. They update their source code frequently to keep up with the latest development, and not forgetting to merge in special features of their own at the same time.
A small group of people from around the world who are interested in Android launched this project on the 12th of December 2012, and is committed to make this ROM better and better. Like most contributors of open source projects (Omni, CyanogenMod, Slim AOSPA etc)
Edit
Tip: - install vendor.img :
( copy vendor.img to InternalStorage "sdcard" and type :
adb shell
dd if=/sdcard/vendor.img of=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/vendor )
- reboot
Vendor.img can be downloaded from ROM section.
I think I'll be the first one cause I am downloading it now
You can flash it bro

Dont waste your time and data in these buggy roms , whats new in this rom , nothing everything which you have been seen since cynogenmod roms , camera not working, screen going to sleep , no extra feature , i think the stock emui is more feature enriched than these custom rom .

Download and install the xposed installer first and download zip through it.
- Install Magisk
- Go to Download section, search for xposed
- Install the xPosed installer for Magisk given in the text link
- Install the suitable framework
works and does not get kicked out by ROM updates.
Xposed doesn't work on miui 10 for our device. It gives bootloop.
I believe SELinux has to be _permissive_

I have seen you referring this microG many times with much admiration. The only microG I know is a small app required to sign in YouTube vanced and the older og YouTube. But of course you are talking about something much more complex. So what is that much useful that microG and fake gapps offer? I predict that it might need a lengthy answer so a summary would be good enough too.

Raptorddd, it is not possible using xPosed modules or framework on MIUI based ROMs. I was merely answering the general question if it can be installed on the Redmi Note 5. That question did not ask for MIUI.
To make that clear once again to all other users:
- MIUI uses a special framework that does not allow working with usual xPosed framwork
- Oreo AOSP and LIneage based ROMs do install and work with xPosed.
I have never used Gapps on my Redmi Note 5. I have microG on all my Oreo ROMs based on AOSP and Lineage. The easiest are Havoc and Aosip, these happen to be the two best ones at this time (for me). I have packed the Google Sync adapters and all microG modules in two zip files that I can flash from TWRP. That way the somewhat tedious installation of microG is vastly simplyfied when changing ROM. Nanodroid in the thread includes items I don't want.

well lets say its a lite version of google play services.. means more battery and also i can feel more responsive and snappier once you remove it. the only thing i log in is my google account for playstore.. microg replaces playservices.. that has like 300 services and and maybe 20 are on. while microg has like 7 or so.. on and less then 20 services..
i just want longer battery and more performance.. with microG that guy said on link that he added the signature to miui 10. i have not tried it yet.. easy way is magisk module or in nougat roms that are deodexed... oreo is odexed so cant patch it.. they are working on a patch that woks on oreo.. also 9.0 pie has problems i assumed rom is deodexed.
Gapps is a major contributor to battery consumption, most of the services are calling home functions that ensure Google gets also the last bit of where you go and what you do. Google Play services ensures this still happening in particular when there are non-Google apps running. Over the years it has been developed from an acceptable application framework to ensure location, notification and app service functions to a heavy prying tool. It is important for Google, which that is why it's force updated.
Google is making app developers disabling apps functioning, if no Google apps are installed, even though the app would work perfectly fine without.
That is where microG comes in. It is a not always a 100% replacement, some apps such as Google maps work only partially with microG, though there are alternatives for almost everything. https://shadow53.com/android/no-gapps/setup-guide/microg/
Tried to flash Xposed today only via Magisk 17.1v
Ended up in bootloop for MIUI 10 Developer ROM.
P.S.- Reflash the same zip via Recovery to uninstall and get out of boot loop
Some are claiming Xposed v90-beta3 is working with MIUI 10 but i've tried and it just results in a bootloop or booting to TWRP.
Has anyone on here had any success with xposed and MIUI 10?
Doesn't work, I tried and it too ended up in bootloop.

Is it like that on OOS 10 now?

So I tried to left Twitter in recents for an hour and when I re opened it, the app doesn't have to restart but it's not exactly at the same state. It may be caused by some other apps (xda, reddit, galerie, camera, Snapchat and skype) that were also in recents and needed to free some memory
However oos 10 is worth a try, those new animation feel much better than on oos 9

thank you for your time i appreciate it. anyway clearing the recent apps all the time stresses the memory and in somehow wastes your time. later versions of android efficiently manage background apps [recents] so it won't eat up your battery and you won't wait longer when getting back to your apps.
you can try PE Plus
It is a preference to be fair but out of the main ROMs the stable choices with frequent support and updates appear to be
Oxygen os based:
Theone5tOS
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5t/development/rom-theone5tos-v1-0-t3729798
Pixel based:
Pixel experience (or optional plus version with extras)
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5t/development/rom-pixel-experience-t3976333
Stock android based:
DerpFest (very customisable)
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5t/development/rom-unofficial-aosip-aka-derpfest-t3978357
Crdroid
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5t/development/rom-crdroid-android-6-t3972533
They are the most stable and frequently updated which some people would class as best.
While others would say best is for battery life and if so then usually pie builds without gapps if possible say like
Lineage OS 16
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5t/development/rom-lineageos-16-0-pie-oneplus-5t-t3843026
Would be your best bet as you would save a lot just removing all the bloatware and background features that comes with gapps.
Again it's preferance and based on individual use cases same reason why people publishing SOT means absolutely nothing. As unless they show a before and after with a guide to drastically change the battery life ; all they're doing is saying if you use it like me you may get this time (some people only text and phone and some game while others are social media butterflies).

PS. as long as you sync all you apps and photos and data with Google everything will transfer to the new ROM. when you sign in with your Google account pick restore from cloud.
If you have anything that is installed from another source or a patched app ; then you can use Titanium backup to backup all apps and restore them when you have installed the new ROM.
Usual procedure to change ROM is :
1.Unlock bootloader
2.Install twrp or another custom recovery. ( I recommend orangefox as you can manage magisk modules easy through it.)
3.wipe system and data but do not format data where SD is if you want to keep what's on your phone's drive. (never wipe vendor as it has the treble files in it.)
4. Flash ROM zip you have chosen.
5. Flash magisk if you want root with mods if not just the keep recovery zip if installing oos. (oos replaces twrp or other recovery's with oos ones when installing not a big problem as can be flashed through fastboot again.)
6.optional you can install custom kernal or no Verity at this point.
7.reboot into new ROM (sometimes takes 10 minutes or so to boot up.) and restore desired files and apps by clicking restore from the cloud.
I've only wrote this second part of the reply as you also asked for advice on transitioning to a new ROM and keeping apps ect. Even though for more advice on the unlocking and rooting I would read the available guide.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5t/how-to/oneplus-5t-unlock-bootloader-flash-twrp-t3704592
you can try pixel rom, but overall I think stock rom is best. And this is oneplus, so, stock roms are so close to any other custom rom.
Yes, i agree with you before i update to Android 10. I experienced a poor battery life compared to Android 9; i make improvements installing a custom kernel but i'm far away from battery life of Android 9.
ProtonAOSP
Android 11 ROM
ProtonAOSP is a minimal Android fork (custom ROM) focused on UI/UX and performance, with a touch of privacy.

Installation
This ROM is currently distributed as factory images, similar to stock. Flash it the same way you would flash stock factory images. Don't forget to wipe all data using "fastboot -w" before booting the ROM.
Firmware is included, so there is no specific requirement for which version of the stock ROM you are coming from.
You can also use the quick & easy web installer, which allows you to install and update the ROM from any computer or phone without using the command line. The installer works entirely within your web browser and completes in as little as 4 minutes, depending on the speed of your internet connection. Consider using the web installer instead of installing manually.

Looks so tempting, downloading as I type.
Quick check - for the updates in future, would we still need to wipe data before booting if already in the previous ProtonAOSP version .
Thank you for bringing love to our pixel series !
Love to know what you have changed to alter battery usage before i download it, every other 11 ROM drains like a bathtub, even at idle
According to the Pixel 5 thread this ROM passes safetynet w/o magisk. looks interesting. Downloading now!

It may be like the other new 11 based ROM that turned up on here yesterday, and have its device name set to Pixel 5/5a to pass SafetyNet out of the box

I didn't do anything specific for battery; it's just that battery tends to be better on custom ROMs than it is on Pixel 2 stock, partially due to being less bloated.

My ROM reports a fake security patch level to SafetyNet so basic attestation will always pass. However, I've observed that Google has started to roll out hardware attestation for the Pixel 2, so I also modified the model name with an invisible character to revert it back to basic. The Pixel 5 name is not used.

Sorry for the inconvenience, the problem lies in a botched SafetyNet fix that was missed in testing due to not flashing all partitions. You can make it boot temporarily by flashing the stock boot image. A hotfix that boots out-of-the-box will be up shortly.

No, ideally the latest stock ROM would be installed in both slots beforehand but that's only because this build is missing firmware. A hotfix will be up shortly with the latest firmware included.
Nice, got gpay working with magisk.
Unfortunately stuck on splash after installing edxposed. This is definitely an unreasonable request but if xposed edge features could be built natively into the rom I wouldn't need xposed

Xposed will never be supported, you are on your own if it's broken. I wouldn't recommend using it because it can cause all sorts of weird bugs.
A hotfix update has just been released to fix issues with a botched SafetyNet fix that caused most apps using HTTP outside of a browser to break, including Google Translate, SMS/MMS, and many others. I've figured out a new way to fix SafetyNet that doesn't come with those pitfalls, so SafetyNet is still passing out-of-the-box and apps will no longer break. A bug with sensitivity in the Active Edge settings has also been fixed, and missing firmware has been re-added so there is no need to flash the latest stock ROM first.
Re-download v11.2.0 from GitHub for the fixes. I've decided to re-upload it rather than bumping the version because the previous SafetyNet fix was very broken and also caused boot failures if boot.img wasn't replaced.

Great work, and thank you for the fast updates. Really looking forward to using the ROM when I clean format next time. Waiting for Google to release the last Security patch in December before making the jump, don't want to clean install every month. I usually stick with a ROM for a few months at a time.
Just to clarify if anyone is confused: this is an Android 11 ROM, not Android 10. XDA DevDB has no option for 11 so I had to put 10. I've just edited the DevDB info out of the post now and added 11 to the header so there should be no more confusion.
I am testing proton, so far its fast, snappy, and stable, one word of caution for anyone who uses my recommendations. Do not patch the boot.img as I always recommended, this landed me in a bootloop. Once I wiped the device clean, and started over (installed ROM+GAPP), then setup the device, then once setup, reboot to BL/TWRP (ADB TWRP), and installed MAGISK zip version from within TWRP, it booted fine. It only has an issue if you patch the boot.img from within MAGISK itself then ADB the boot.img. Normally this is the only method I use, but it will not work properly with this ROM (which is perfectly fine as the zip works great and passes safetynet out of the box)!
This ROM doesnt have all the goodies I am used to, BUT its a VERY decent, and stable 11 ROM so I DO recommend users to at least try it if you are looking for a decent 11 ROM. Battery life for me is on par with 10 so I do not see any major show stoppers using this as a DD. I will run it for a few days and report anything found (if anything is found), otherwise, its great.

thank you very much for your assessment! I also find this rom to be very stable, snappy and the slight changes to the stock rom are very well thought out - next to perfect! big thanks to the dev krag0n!
I'm coming from an Android 9 Custom ROM and I wanted to switch to this, the instructions states that it should just be a simple flash. Should I still start from a clean reinstall of stock Android 11 or does flashing this come with that already?

Stock has battery issues, all other 11 based ROMS ive tested have hadthe same battery issues. So i was asking in case you managed to find and fix the issue, because Google so far hasnt
I'll give it a crack anyways and see what its like, cheers

fwiw, there is no evidence that Google has or plans to force hardware attestation on Pixel 2/XL. i monitor reports of these things over in the magisk threads, and as part of my own magisk module, and theres no suggestion it will happen to Pixel 2/XL, more likely it will happen with 4+ than the old Pixel 2/XL....
Ill probably change the fingerprint back to Pixel 2/XL and Android 11, personally i dont see the point of spoofing another device when the Pixel 2/XL is still officially supported...just my opinion, no offence meant

My Pixel 2 XL has been getting hardware attestation in all of my tests recently if the model name is set to "Pixel 2 XL". It's possible that I'm being A/B tested and most users don't have this problem, but either way, I haven't been able to pass SafetyNet without changing the model name because of it.
Either way, I've added hacks into the system in my ROM to avoid spoofing the model name while still defying hardware attestation and passing SafetyNet despite being on a mismatching security patch level. I agree, I don't want to change the model name just to pass SafetyNet, so I've been coming up with other solutions to avoid doing that.
